It's less about the chase time and about how it ends. A short chase done by anyone else feels like you got outplayed by the player.In the case of the Spirit, it feels more like you got outplayed by just the character not the person behind the character.

@BBQnDemogorgon This game's barely scratches the surface of gaming toxicity. Hell I'd say this is the least toxic game I play. If you want a wholesome community you'll need to find a more niche game. Anything that's even slightly mainstream gets filled with this type of conduct.

Not a solution, but have you tried playing with a different mindset? In F13, people play selfishly all the time. Why not take a gander at lone wolf style.
