  • Oh really? I didn’t know that, thank you! Will this work even if they’ve spun around behind me or do I have to be facing them? Most people arent that great at it but some people are ridiculously good and just run constant circles around me. Also it’s pretty embarrassing, but I actually do have quite a few hours into this…
  • I don’t disagree with you that this is annoying, but the obvious response here is to play with a SWF group that you trust. There are several DBD communities out there you can join where you can meet and queue with other players that you have chosen to play with. Otherwise...yes it sucks when people are bad but you can’t…
  • I don’t understand Legion at all. Can you please explain why healing against it is bad?
  • I think both sides should be in agreement that the hatch mechanic needs a rework. No one is saying the killer should get a "free" kill, but at the same time, is a survivor that hid in a locker most of the game while his teammates got sacrificed entitled to a "free" escape? A lot of survivors complain about slugging too,…
  • It should be an option for people who want to use it and you should be able to mute audio and mic separately if you choose not to use either/or. So if you wanted to subject yourself to listening to the idiots you queued with, you can just mute your mic but leave voice chat audio on. If you don’t want to listen, then you…
  • It all depends on which killer(s) you prefer to play and your play style and preferences. Personally, I get a lot of use out of Pig’s make your choice as I play killers whose best strategy is often to get away from the hook and then can quickly get back (Hag with hook trap and Spirit with her special ability). Some people…
  • I just save all of mine for dailies. The sad reason I don’t use them otherwise is that the survivors dc on me when I do :(.
  • I love Hag; I just hit rank 1 on her tonight. I highly recommend watching Space Coconut’s videos that he posted here. I was stuck around rank 10-12 before I started watching his videos. I very much disagree with the person above who said she requires tracking perks...I’ve found her to be just the opposite. Either people…
  • Wait, you mean those occasional hooks I get from survivors in the exit gates are not because they miscalculated but in fact because I've managed to make them feel that badly because I haven't gotten a single hook all game ?
  • I used to just say gg after each game, but now for the most part I just leave instantly. I can't take the heat, so I just don't even give them the chance. If you're better at letting it roll off your back, then just say gg each game and then leave. I say gg every game on survivor and I have defended the killer when fellow…
  • I mostly have been playing normally. Respecting the plants (in addition to my subpar skills) has screwed me over, though. A bunch of survivors were happy to keep harvesting their plants while I monitored generators, but as soon as they were done, turned into the toxic little s**ts they were before the event, looping,…
  • Because it rewards the survivors for doing gens with more people being affected. It's a good thought, but I feel like this would be too strong vs. SWF (as would most things). They could easily assign the affected people to do chases and saves and the unaffected people to do gens, so it would negate the perk.
  • I don't think anyone denies that it needs to be addressed. In the meantime, though, it sounds like you need to just hit the survivor and let them have it. You know it's going to frustrate you and make you angry, and you know it's not fair but you also know your only options are to sit there for forever in a standoff or…
  • Yeah, I noticed that too. I thought I was just too slow to move or something. Why would they do that, though?
  • It depends on what your definition of "bad" is. Is a survivor who is good at looping, pallets, windows, chases, etc. "bad" because they are abusing game mechanics or "good" because they can avoid getting hit for long periods of time? Is a survivor who plays more immersed and is better at losing the killer during a chase in…
  • Killers should be entitled to 4 kills if they played well enough to kill all 4 people. This is really just a game design problem, as killers can only get 4 kills if the fourth player hasn't yet found the hatch when they go to hook the third player, or they know right where the fourth player is and can get to them before…
  • I'm not a guy and yes, I am a newbie (purchased the game just over 3 months ago) :P. And yes, I'm complaining that I am a rank 1 survivor and should not be....I am terrible at the game. And yes, I also said in my post that getting rank ups on my killer was harder (I'm only rank 6 on it, although I haven't played it as much…
  • Yeah, sometimes the less skilled survivors will claim you are tunneling them when in reality you are simply running into them more. If the same survivor keeps setting off my traps, I'm going to teleport and hit him, even if I haven't hit anyone else yet. Learn to crouch, use a flashlight, or stop whining :P.
  • Yes, more of them get blocked off as the paths are randomly generated in each map. They were trying to prevent some of the infinite loops, especially in the larger buildings.
  • Window of Opportunity Bond Exhaustion perk (usually Dead Hard, but could also be Sprint Burst or Lithe) Literally any other perk; I like to switch things up. Frequent ones are: Self Care, WGLF, Plunderer's Instinct, We'll Make It, and Borrowed Time.
  • I main Hag, and I enjoy both playing as and against her. I know her weaknesses, so I love urban evasion-ing around with a flashlight and destroying the ruin totems of a fellow Hag ;P. I hate playing against the Hillbilly. At least the nurse's blinks give me the (often false) illusion that I could maybe get away or juke…
  • Pretty much, yeah. Occasionally there will be a SWF team with only 1 strong team member trying to carry the rest, though, and I might be able to do something to the weaker members. A lot of times if I choose to chase someone, though, and I injure them and they are approaching a pallet and trying to loop, if I put down a…
  • Yeah....#########. I just hit red rank on survivor (4)....I have no idea how to loop. I still run windows of opportunity because I literally couldn't find a single pallet or window even if it's right in front of me. I frequently go down before I hit my dead hard, and mostly I just crouch around the map and run Bond so that…
  • I don't play Trapper at all so I can't give you specific tips, but I've played this game for 3 months and all I've learned is that when you see the survivor with the brightly colored shirt and flashlight wiggling around near a loop to get your attention....DON'T DO IT. You know you want to; they look so tasty and sometimes…
  • When I first bought the game, I did a quick google search of which killer was the easiest for noobs to play. Top results said Billy and Wraith (lol I don't know why). I tried Billy for like 2 games, kept running into walls with chainsaw sprint, and decided to do Wraith. I did terribly on him, but grinded to level 50 (rank…
  • Yeah....it's kind of silly how people are saying SWF shouldn't have this just because they hate SWF group lol....I've been harassed and bullied by plenty of SWF, but I wouldn't begrudge them this tiny QoL change XD.
  • I agree they need to change something about this....but on the other hand, it would make NOED even more powerful to do some of the things that people are suggesting, like a time limit or revealing the aura of players who stay in the game. It can sometimes take a min or longer to find the totem, destroy it, and then get…
  • Okay, now you're either trolling or have some serious emotional disturbance where you can't separate a game from reality. If anything, it's sick for anyone to compare a violent, gory game like DBD to real life.
  • Farming is against the rules and (as far as I know) a bannable offense. If the killer allegedly pretends like you guys are farming and you choose to participate, it's your own fault if you get killed instead.
  • I didn't even know it was rude tbh....I thought I was just swinging as I waited for the match to end and there was nothing else to do. That was when I first started the game. Now that I am Hag main, I just spam put down traps for extra points.
  • Ok, thanks. I was just really confused because I got yelled at about this and I didn't know what he was talking about at all, but I figured out it must have had something to do with his decisive strike.
  • Thanks! I will have to try that build once I get Coulrophobia...I have the clown, but no points into him yet. I also liked your post about being more simple with trap placement. A little of it I had figured out on my own after a few games of frustration where I would put a single trap right under a window or right next to…
  • I'm a Hag main, and my general strategy is defensive: I usually set up my traps in a fairly localized area of the map containing several points of interest, including at least 3 generators and usually a large building that survivors enjoy using to loop me. If possible, I'll try to trap my totem but I have lost games by…
  • I don't have hard and fast rules that I stick to, but I generally follow this as far as camping/tunneling: 1) If someone does an unsafe hook, kill the person who did it and let the survivor who was hooked escape 2) If they set off a trap when going for the unhook, teleporting in is fair game. If they don't set off a trap,…
  • I think it's fine as is....the Killer can't be at all 3 exits at once. Hide, watch, and wait for your chance to escape. It's far from a free mori, and it benefits you during the trial to be able to see where the killer is after each generator is done.
  • I agree with until it has 1 token, not until survivors get exposed. There is no reason for it to be lit before it has any tokens, though. I think it should be like NOED, where when you get a token, if any dull totems remain on the map, 1 will be lit.
  • I usually ignore them, but pretend I'm not if I see them doing something I don't want them to do (like healing, generators, totems, etc.)....I'll chase them for a bit halfheartedly but actually be keeping an eye out for other survivors. I like to waste the main flashlight/rainbow coat survivor I am meant to chase's time as…
  • I know what you mean, but a lot of the issues are with the game design and not actual players. You can hope that people are nice and play in a manner generally accepted by the community as "sportsmanlike." But camping and tunneling are not bannable offenses and the game kind of encourages that behavior in a way. Sometimes…
  • Everyone else seems to be saying that reporting works, but I have mostly not been using this feature. Especially not after I read that we are not supposed to report people who dc because that's an automated process to target those people. The only time I've sent a report on someone for something other than a dc was…
  • Yeah this actually happens all the time. I am a newer player, so I figured I had missed some sort of rule about fast vaults or was doing something incorrectly, or maybe a perk or something idk. Didn't know it was a bug.
  • Uh, tell the guy who quit he is a lot more likely to get banned for what he did than what you did. Also, you can only get banned for that if you are deliberately working with survivors to farm bloodpoints instead of playing the actual game. A single game with two disconnects is not a game at all, and no one would blame you…
  • Lol....my first game today via the Spirit, the obsession disconnected once downed and I thought of this post XD. The second game, the obsession got mori'd and complained about how OP it was in chat until the killer left.
  • Not really, but for whatever reason I notice that Davids are either easier to find or generally lower skilled players, because it seems I am constantly running into them (or they into me) on killer. So if I scatter a group of 3 players off a generator and one is a David, I probably choose to chase him, because I figure my…
  • This happens all the time. The first guy caught either disconnects once downed, or if he is bad at looping and gets downed early, someone else disconnects because they've decided we're all trash and they don't want to play with us. At that point, if the downed person does not disconnect in response to the first one, he…
  • You can choose to do whatever you want. I would think that a minute is a little bit long to be circling around a hook, unless you think you saw someone and are searching for them, or you have a perk like whispers that is telling you someone is near. While you can obviously check nearby line of sight objects for hook…
  • I'm not a high rank killer (usually around rank 12, plus or minus 2), so this may not work at higher ranks, but I've had good luck with this: 1) Hag 2) Addons: Rusty Shackles + Dried Cicada 3) Perks: Ruin/Sloppy Butcher/Thanatophobia/x x can be one of the following: Make Your Choice/Nurse's Calling
  • I still can't see it even when I go to 0:09 :(. This is why I suck at killer lol.
  • Claudette because I like playing stealthy. I have been playing Kate a little bit more because I am a beginner survivor and like her windows perk. I ended up getting her green and brown top, brown hair, and long jeans to make her a bit stealthier since that is how I play, and while she'll never be as stealthy as Claudette,…
  • I don't like the idea of buffing bloodlust. Killers are already faster than survivors (or have abilities which allow them to reach the survior), so I don't think it's fair to survivors for a killer to be able to overtake them in this way, by becoming faster and faster. I'm a killer main that is not very good with survivor…
  • Okay, thanks. I think they should clarify that both in the post and in-game, because right now when I click the thumbs down option next to someone's name, a list of reportable offenses by category pops up and under the "unsportsmanlike" category, it lists rage quitting as one of the reportable offenses. Unless rage…
