Matchmaking in DBD isn’t too bad, I find the initial matchups are pretty fair. That all gets thrown out the window when someone dodges a lobby. Now matchmaking doesn’t care about fair or even, it just wants to find someone, anyone to fill that spot ASAP. Anecdotally, my most lopsided games occur when someone dodges a lobby.
-
For me personally, I hit windows/pallets instead of the surv when going for a basic attack way more than I used to. 2+ years ago, I could basically get a hit with anything close, but these days I find I have to be more precise. On the surv side, I find I get hit through windows about as often as I used to. shrugs Beats me.
-
Oof, gotta work on those escapes. I wish it also showed how many moris I performed.
-
Unless you're on Xbox, or Playstation, or Switch, Or Epic….
-
Sadly, at this point, silent flash bangs/fire crackers seems like a problem that is out of BHVR’s hands. If they could have fixed them by now, they would have.
-
Same, can’t wait. I love playing this game even after all this time and I love stats, it’s one of my favorite things about sports and video games. I played a lot last year starting around the Blood Moon event so I’m excited to see some of the specifics!
-
These stats are from Sept. '22, almost a year after Pinhead had been released.
-
Outside of very rare bugs, I’ve never seen two hooks close enough that the killer could effectively camp both of them at once. Hook spawns are subject to RNG and while they could be better, they’re fine as is.
-
“Should it be possible to disconnect from a match without penalty if you are being eliminated from an elimination game?” Lol. Lmao, even
-
Not a bug. Any other survivor(s) can finish an invocation that the perk user has started, whether the perk user is there at the end or not. The perk user still suffers the drawbacks of the perk when the invocation finishes, but they only need to be there to start it, not complete it.
-
Pretty sure this isn’t a bug. All the moris were changed recently to be 3rd person.
-
Thank you, I don’t use twitter so I missed this, though I did notice the matchmaking incentive this afternoon. I’d still recommend people not use the Mistle Toes if they care at all about (event) points.
-
You can play as chill as you like OP, but you can’t make other people play a certain way.
-
The points look like they're being counted ingame, but at the endgame scoreboard, no event points are awarded (unless someone else brought a cake/streamer)
-
Way to completely miss the point. Yes, the Mistle Toes will double all your Bone Chill scoring events in game. And then when the game is over, unless someone else brought a cake or streamers, you will get NONE of those event points.
-
Just want to add that this is not a problem exclusive to Freddy; event points not being counted happens to all killers and survivors too.
-
Some acknowledgment from BHVR would be amazing. I’ve found that if I just use a Mistle Toes by itself, I get no event points at the end of the game. If I use Mistle Toes, and someone else brings cake/streamers, the event points count. So obviously I have stopped using the Mistle Toes until they ######### do something.
-
"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." They're bugs. Games have bugs. They'll get fixed.
-
The fact that Wesker has a 40m radius while other killers with even better mobility (e.g. Blight, Billy) have a typical 32m one never made sense to me.
-
🤌 Do you know what this is? It’s the world’s smallest violin, playing just for the people whose map offerings got denied.
-
Maps are fair when they are randomly assigned. Any map, even a [blank]-sided one, can quickly turn unfair with coordinated perks, items and/or offerings.
-
”BHVR prioritizes forcing people to play their game” lmaoooo is BHVR holding a gun to your head? You CHOSE to queue up. If you can’t handle a ten minute game, play something else; there are plenty of us willing and happy to play out games to their natural conclusion. People who suicide on hook are a scourge on DBD, and…
-
Tell me you’ve only played against baby survivors without telling me you’ve only played against baby survivors.
-
If your game should close for whatever reason during the offering or loading screens, you will not receive a matchmaking penalty.
-
This usually happens to me when a new chapter drops. You can still unlock the achievements, but for some reason they won’t show up in the list for some hours.
-
Chaos Shuffle was well liked all around, that didn’t mess with queues at all, or nearly at all. You think that 2v8 is popular, but it requires more people. If it isn’t bringing in enough new/returning people, then is it popular? Or is it a novelty that’s splitting up the queues to a damaging degree? Look at the steam…
-
This is such a good idea, I can’t believe BHVR hasn’t implemented something like it already. There are 44 survs and 37 killers and counting, the fact that we can’t put our favorites at the top is a shame.
-
or that it requires twice as many people to play…
-
You also said that it would render (misspelled, btw) the luck perks and offerings useless. I used ‘up the ante’ as a humorous example of how luck perks are already useless and that they could be reworked if self unhooks are removed. See the correlation? The rest of my post responded to how you think that removing self…
-
Pinhead’s chains suck, straight up. If you use your power correctly and accurately with almost every other killer, you will be rewarded with a hit. With Pinhead, it’s too dependent on RNG and survivor actions to reliably get a hit. You miss a chain, you lost the chase; you hit a chain, there’s no guarantee you’ll even…

Skill issue
-
lmaooo ‘but but but… my Up The Ante value!’ People legally leaving the game early by suiciding on hook is way more damaging than any tiny benefit brought by the handful of luck perks and offerings. It’s not like those things can’t be reworked. Also, if someone has to spend several minutes AFKing or running to the killer,…
-
Personally, all my favorite characters in this game have voice lines. Pinhead and Nic Cage are my mains for their respective sides. I wish more characters spoke in game; it’s one thing I prefer in Killer Klowns over DBD. That said, if there were an option to turn them off for people that don’t like them, that seems like…
-
I’ve seen it as low as 50% for 2v8 surv. I tried queuing up for killer then, and it still took 13 minutes. No idea why BHVR is being stingy with the BP incentive.
-
You are policing though. In your mind, escaping is the only thing that matters and if anyone feels or plays differently, they are wrong. 2v8 isn’t ranked or competitive, no one is obligated to sweat every game because you say so. You can’t MAKE people feel the way you feel, which is kinda what you’re trying to do with this…
-
Cleansing a full totem is worth 1000 blood points. Add another 250% and that’s 3,500 points for just 14 seconds of bone slamming. If I do escape, I get to keep my item for free. Yeah, I’m gonna keep doing bones and chests in addition to gens. People who care more about points than wins are just as valid as people who care…
-
Lucky. Takes me at least 7 minutes just to find a lobby for killer 1v4, and that doesn’t include the lobby timer itself nor the loading times.
-
Well, if you care about points, there is still one reason: you can play an entire game of 2v8 as survivor in the time it would take you to find one lobby in 1v4. Your points per game might be better with the latter, but your points per hour is still higher with the event.
-
These are awesome, fun and challenging
-
The current game might be lost, but at least I can delay the griefer from doing the exact same thing in their next game. I’m sparing 4 other people who want to play from having to deal with selfish pricks that suicide at the first inconvenience. You’re welcome.
-
unless you’re on Xbox T_T
-
I will absolutely unhook survs that try to go next unnecessarily; at the very least it will keep that player from ruining others’ games for just a bit longer. You’re welcome.
-
Considering BHVR only has the rights to the mask itself and not anything from Scream, sadly this seems like a pipe dream. Would be awesome, though.
-
Haddonfield is waaay too small. I’m all for reducing the size of the maps that are too big, but this is overkill.
-
This will fall on deaf ears. While it is absolutely painful to be on the receiving end of this situation, it is not holding the game hostage.
-
Lmao ‘skill ceiling’. This implies console users are too incompetent to flick with Oni; it’s literally not possible! And since console users have no choice but to use a controller, fairness should take precedence over what is essentially a bug.
-
Same, an official leaderboard would be awesome, especially since all the sites that track stats can only do so for Steam users.
-
I agree with many of the comments that most map offerings deserve to be dodged, especially considering there is no penalty for it. I would LOVE for BHVR to share how often games with map offerings don’t make it past the offering or loading screen.
-
If you don’t know what the survivor meta is, then how can you be sure you’re not using it?
-
What? This game was originally designed and released for PC. It didn’t come out on console til about a year later. IMO that’s why MnK will always be a superior control scheme to use, it was literally designed for it, and I assume that’s how all the devs play the game.
