  • There are far far too many people that have zero capability to think rationally or logically.
  • If this forum is any indication here is the way to break it down. Ask yourself this question. Does the issue affect me personally? If the answer is yes it's definitely a game issue. If the answer is no it's obviously a skill issue.
  • In my experience most survivors see teamwork in this game as other survivors have an obligation to help them, but they have no obligation to help anyone else.
  • YES! If BHVR gave every survivor the option to choose one killer they would never even be stuck in a lobby with I would choose Legion and there wouldn't even be a close second.
  • I have noticed this happens in over 75% of the matches where it gets down to 2 survivors. I have no problem accepting it as part of the game. I don't even have a problem with a killer that does it. For me I think it points too a mentality a killer main friend of mine has that I think is indicative of the way a large…
  • This every time. If I am one of the last 2 survivors and the killer slugs the other one I will absolutely hide. It always amazes me that the killer behaviors survivors hate the most are usually the ones survivors themselves make the most rewarding.
  • In my opinion the only real fix for solo queue is not something BHVR can do anything about. A large percentage of solo queue players are only playing this game very casually. There's nothing wrong with that. They obviously have that right. However, that also means a lot of times they're not even necessarily playing to…
  • As a survivor main I agree with every bit of that. The biggest problems survivor have are the fault of survivors. The overwhelming majority of survivors utilize zero strategy playing this game.
  • I like that idea. I think there are lots of possibilities with that idea.
  • One that I think is underrated is Poised. I don't use it all the time, but being able to finish a gen and run away from it for 10 seconds without leaving scratch marks can often be really helpful. I can't count the times I have been able to finish off a gen even with a killer getting close and been able to run away leaving…
  • Survivors that play with zero strategy is the biggest issue with solo queue. I had a match recently where I was the first person downed. There was some sort of glitch. Once I hit the ground I couldn't move, the killer couldn't pick me up, and I wasn't progressing towards death because the progress meter for that never…
  • You wouldn't because I turned off cross platform long ago. Once again though that is irrelevant your constant refrain of "just do gens and leave". While that is indeed the only option I have in that situation I am under no obligation to think as you do about it. I have the same right to not like it as you do to have no…
  • I've received messages multiple times from killers before matches saying they are going to farm, asking for help to do a challenge, etc. They have that option, at least on Playstation. I can't speak for any other platforms. So that's how. Once gain just because it doesn't bother you personally to be in a farming match…
  • Let me put it this way so maybe it's more clear. No one can force me to farm once I get into a match where everyone else is doing so. On the other hand if I am not given the option to opt out before the match begins then I am very much forced to take part in a match where everyone else is farming whether or not I wanted to…
  • This game is SWF sided. If you create a balance between killer and SWF's the solo queue becomes nearly unplayable. If you create a balance between killer and solo queue SWF's have a huge advantage. I believe the only fix is to make all the advantages of SWF basekit for all survivors and then balance accordingly. If all…
  • If a killer does not send a message before the match that they plan to farm I am forced to take part in a match where others are farming whether I participate or not. So yes, I am forced to take part in a match that I don't want to participate in
  • I'm a survivor main and I absolutely hate farming. I wish killers would send a message before a match loads. I would happily leave the lobby and wait for another match. If others want to do it that's their prerogative. I just hate being forced to do so because as with the OP I am playing to play the game. Not farm. If I'm…
  • I had no idea they were mostly bots. I guess it's a way to level up your killers quickly. In my opinion it makes them the kind of person I don't want to know, but that's just me.
  • Survivor main here. I will suicide on first hook, and the reason is always the same. Ridiculous teammates. Just a couple of examples: 1 - A team of survivors that immediately pull each other off hooks with the killer standing right there (even without BT) 2 - A survivor in the match that is obviously only there to sabotage…
  • You are 100% correct. As a survivor main I fully believe if even 50% of survivors played with any strategy whatsoever killers would have to receive major buffs just to keep up.
  • I had quit playing this game a few months back because I had completely burned out. I decided to try it again recently to see if I was able to enjoy myself after a break. I'm probably about to quit again because as a survivor main matches against this version of Legion are simply miserable and I am getting lots and lots of…
  • The biggest thing to take into account here is for BHVR this game is a business and the goal is to make money. That isn't meant as a critical statement. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. However, when you look at it from that perspective that means BHVR is looking at making changes to the grind for one of…
  • While I realize there are newbies that don't get it sometimes it's not just newbies that do it. I've played this game for years and watched as lots and lots of experienced survivors do this on a consistent basis. It happens far too often to even blame the majority of it on newbies. Camping is a strategy. As a survivor main…
  • There are 3 words in your post that illustrate what I think is one of the most confusing things about survivors that complain about camping - "inevitable save attempt". This is a strategy that should yield at most 2 kills per match. However, anyone that has played this game on a regular basis knows that isn't what happens.…
  • I have always wondered why BHVR won't do that. The biggest balance issue this game has is because of the disparity between solo queue and SWF. If you try to create balance between SWF and killers the solo queue survivor ends up at a huge disadvantage. If you try to balance between killer and solo queue survivor you end up…
  • I played with a Bubba a little bit ago that hung a survivor on one corner of the swamp and the very next moment they were right next to me in the opposite corner. Another survivor pulled me off hook before I could die. I just got up, went to the bathroom, got a drink, and waited for that one to be over. It's something I…
  • I always find the whole "toxic behavior" thing interesting. I suppose everyone has different mindsets about such things. We are all allowed to find whatever things toxic we would like. For me the only behaviors I find toxic are ones where someone is intentionally sabotaging the game for myself or others. I played against a…
  • To really be successful at this game and get full enjoyment requires keeping up with the constant changes and additions. There are lots of people that only play this game or any other on a casual basis. When I was playing this game on a regular basis I looked forward to the additions and changes. New challenges to learn…
  • Ok. Thanks. I guess I get to chalk this one up to simply not remembering.
  • In theory I agree with you. In practice my experiences as a survivor main are that the issue in this situation is generally not the person on the hook. It's almost always the survivors that aren't on the hook. While one person is on the hook being camped you have at least 2 if not all 3 other survivors crouch walking near…
  • If you aren't cheating you aren't being toxic. For most people toxic means nothing more than "I'm so insecure that I take everything personally even when I'm playing a video game". I mean I can't stand killers that slug as their whole strategy, but that doesn't make it toxic. It just means I don't like it.
  • I play on PS4 as a survivor main. I get a message once every 20 or 30 matches. It's almost always from another survivor telling me what they dislike about how I played. I've noticed something about the survivors that feel the necessity to tell others how they should have played..... They are almost always the same survivor…
  • The way points are allocated for specific survivor actions has always been ridiculous. The main objective for survivors is to do gens so they can escape yet when it comes to the points awarded for doing gens it is by far the least rewarding. You can escape after doing all 5 generators by yourself and still have less points…
  • I can actually get a lot of utility out of poised. The first benefit is it often allows you to make a clean getaway after finishing a gen even if the killer is near. The second benefit is since the killer doesn't see scratch marks indicating someone ran away they will usually spend a little while searching for someone they…
  • This is the one thing that would make me play this game regularly again. I used to play this game countless hours. The thing that finally pushed me to the point I rarely play anymore is the fact that there are so many little things that need to be fixed. For me the perfect example of this is that after all the time this…
  • Once upon a time I played this game a lot as a survivor main. These days I mostly just watch others in my household play. A few days after Pinhead came out my wife was playing. One game in particular she heard the sound of chains as the match started and handed me the controller. She told me she wanted me to play a match…
  • 1) If someone is not breaking any of the rules of DBD they are not playing unfairly 2) Your opinion of how anyone else should play DBD is completely irrelevant If people understood those 2 things half of the posts in this forum would be unnecessary.
  • Had to search for game mode in settings. Didn't even know my TV had game mode, but it worked. Thanks so much.
  • As a console player I can't speak to anything as it pertains to Steam or PC, but I can tell you the reason I left the game a few months ago. I can also tell you that after today it will likely be months before I even attempt to play again. I play on PS4 and loaded DBD for the first time in months today. There is a huge lag…
  • I play on PS4 and loaded DBD for the first time in months today. There is a huge lag when hitting buttons for skill checks. I reassigned the button twice just to make sure and the lag is still there. It was. This is the biggest reason I quit playing the game in the first place. There was always some sort of issue.…
  • There's far too many people in this world that only care about one thing...... Something to complain about. If you give them reason to stop complaining about I've thing they'll just find something else.
  • I personally hate slugging. For me that hatred comes from when I used to play killer. If I chose to slug it was as close to a guaranteed 4k as I could get. It was like turning on God mode. There was little to no challenge. That's fine if you're playing killer, but it made me despise it when I played survivor because I knew…
  • Visually beautiful map. Layout is awful. It seems like BHVR has given up trying to be original. As soon as i heard they were going to go RPD I thought "Oh, yet another indoor map with narrow hallways." I hate this map more than any other.
  • I play survivor exclusively and I never want to farm. I don't care if all 3 of the other survivors DC'd in the first 10 seconds. I'm not opposed to letting the killer hang me and be done with it in that situation so we can both move on to the next match, but the moment a killer makes it obvious they're farming...... that's…
  • Same experience. Nearly every match I've had against Nemesis they have tunneled to a far greater extent than I've seen in a long time. I've seen several matches where a Nemesis has completely ignored survivors right next to them to go find the one they're tunneling. Don't get me wrong. That's their choice. It's just been…
  • My PS4 issues are constant "no network connection" errors when though there's no issues with my network. Constant "could not connect to RTM server" errors today. Being booted from lobbies for no apparent reason, and the latest today is loading up and the game treats me like a brand new player. I've got over 4 years of…
  • BHVR lost want semblance of creativity long ago.
  • My worst moment has honestly been when the realization hit me yesterday that adding Resident Evil, my favorite game franchise ever, to DBD actually made me like this game less.
  • In my experience survivors don't fair as well in indoor maps. My experience is merely anecdotal so take that for what's it's worth. The thing I dislike about maps like this one is the mere fact that it makes it nearly impossible to escape the killer once he has you in his sights. At least for some of us. I can certainly…
  • New content for DBD has been little more than shameless money grabs for at least a couple years
