In general, trying to fix tunneling with a perk is a bad idea. You can't guarantee everyone has it and you'll end up making a perk feel mandatory in nearly every build. And they end up nerfing heavily used perks. It's going to require core gameplay changes to fix tunneling. Hopefully, they'll do it by incentivizing against…

I've had nothing but the nicest of killers during the event. I've been let out a handful of times, quite a few of them I wasn't even the last survivor. But I also don't play like a dbag. I ran out of them quickly. They're oddly really rare considering they're just a green.
-
It's just a mini blight dash. Chucky isn't anything special. And the killer is supposed to be stronger than an individual survivor, otherwise, the killer would never catch anyone.
-
A perk is never going to fix the tunneling problem. Tunneling is an issue because of the core gameplay loop. It's an efficient way to get a match over and on to the next.
-
It's not really a hot take, it's 1 player versus 4. The one player should be stronger than the 4. Otherwise, there would be no chance of the 1 winning and no point in them even playing.
-
Until something gets done about coms and SWFS you can't really complain about how 'sweaty' killers play. They're facing a stacked deck. Because, that is how the majority of survivors play this game.
-
Survivor is probably the easiest it's ever been outside of when you could permanently stun the killer with flashlights. They can't even stop you from repairing a generator after 5 kicks anymore. You're pretty much guaranteed to win as long as you don't suck and don't give up.
-
It's not even a question of talking about survivor ethics. It's a question of, 'Has the survivor community treated the other players of this game with the courtesy they expect to get in return?' And the answer is a resounding "NO!" When the majority of the player base behaves like animals, why is the onus put on the…
-
All you have to do is sit and watch the people stream this game to explain why kill rates are as high as they are. As soon as anything slightly annoying happens in a match everyone starts killing themselves on the hook. Your stats are skewed buckaroo, what's really delusional is that the devs don't see how their own…
-
Just sayin', if killers were oh so 'overpowered' the majority of people playing the game would be playing killer. *checks Twitch* Yep, nope it's majority survivors. The arguably easier role in the game.
-
Years of nerfs to killers and their perks have left them with few options to actually secure kills/wins. There's a reason why the majority of DBD streamers are survivors, it's easier.
-
Dbd will peak when the devs pull their heads from their butts and properly balance their game like the 4v1 it is. They really did luck out, if this game were to be released today with what the base game had it would've crashed and burned like VHS. They nerf killer tactics but do nothing about the abused survivor tactics.…
-
You can't blame killers for avoiding an unbalanced match against people using third-party programs to circumvent in-game mechanics.
-
We should be counting our lucky stars it wasn't 1/2/4/7. They like to backload killer abilities/perks.
-
You mostly just learn the same way it all was discovered. By playing the game and trying things out.
-
Explain the difference between being left to bleed out and getting hooked. Besides a few skill checks at the end and taking twice as long. It's the same gameplay and the same outcome for both. At least when you're on the ground you can crawl around, try to hide, and get the hatch. I get downright giddy when I get left on…
-
When I'm getting tunneled that's when it's the most exciting. I'm pretty great at looping killers so I can usually loop them enough they either get irritated and go after someone else, or they stay on me and get ran for 5 gens. Either way, it was fun for me! I hope it was fun for them! But yeah tunneling is fun not cheesy…
-
No one expects killers to pull their punches? Have you never looked at this game's forums? Or watched one of their fog whisperers? Every survivor has been taught to expect the killer to "play nice" or be shamed out of the game. Either that or they scream bloody murder on the forums until the killer can only throw pulled…
-
You didn't explain why his starting with all of his traps is less "tactical gameplay" than him not. You just said it gives him a tactic you don't like because it's similar (Trapper and Artist are nothing alike.) to another killer. Trapper having all of his traps at the start would offer him more tactical gameplay because…
-
Everything they say is valid and accurate. Trying to dismiss their entire point based on one statement that's not even relevant to the point is childish. You don't even need the tactics in the OP to beat a 3gen.
-
"Just don't care about getting kills" and "let everyone escape and you'll never stress again!" If you want a 2k you better be ready to stress out!" Of course, you won't stress if you're just dicking around letting everyone escape. What is this logic!? The forum is filled on a daily basis with people crying about losing a…
-
Hyperbolic posts like these do nothing to help the "solo queue is hard" and "I SWF to have fun" crowds. The rest of us play the game too you know? We know what you say isn't occurring. "The game is the most balanced it's ever been!" This old line. More balanced than completely imbalanced to the point where a developer…
-
To get good at solo queue take off exhaustion perks. Don't get accustomed to the crutch. Focus on getting better at looping, timing, and map awareness. Going for the saves you think you can't get away from are the ones you should go for. They teach you how to get better. You can't be afraid of not escaping when trying to…
-
I've only been running chase perks lately. They seem to be on a warpath with gen regression perks. So rather than get accustomed to something that's just going to be nerfed in a few months I'm avoiding them for the most part. Enduring, Brutal, Bamboozle, and Agitation are what I use on everyone at this point. Can't be…
-
All of the focus currently seems to be on bringing solo queue in line with SWF in regards to balance. Hopefully, after that, they do some killer QoL changes and bug fixes. Traps on stairs for starters. It's just silly that it's still around at this point.
-
If you're solo queueing you're being put with at the very least a 2 man SWF. When I'm solo queueing I can tell the majority of my matches are with 2 or 3 man SWFs being hyper-altruistic for each other. It's probably close to 9 out of 10 matches. So maybe 10% of my matches are full solo squads. So this mythical solo queue…
-
The updated Legion chase music with the add-ons altering it is chefskiss I jammed out trying all the different combos on the PTB.
-
So the killer isn't chasing or hooking and all that's happening is every now and then you have to avoid a few chains. And that's somehow a problem? Aren't you all escaping at that point? It's not possible for a killer to guard the box, and their totem, as well as run around getting downs/hooks.
-
They're really close to killer bots so everyone's going to be in their own bot matches eventually. You can even set up survivor bots to gen rush now!
-
The bigger problem is using the perk midchase. If the killer moves even a few feet from a pallet after the drop you've got enough time to pick it up, for most of them. An entire removal of a cooldown was called a "slight buff" that's all that needs to be said at this point.
-
When one survivor has it*
-
The day I drastically reduced my time playing killer was when I got stunned at the same locker by each survivor right after each other. A balanced game would have DR on stuns so something like that couldn't be possible. If killers could make it so survivors couldn't do anything at all it would get nerfed.
-
If you're facing an even slightly competent survivor the game is only balanced in their favor. The amount of techs and exploits survivors have is ridiculous.
-
They doubled the number of pallets on every map unless you break them right when they're dropped. So nope, not looking forward to it. Especially not solo queue. Lots more lost matches because SWFs will be too busy trying to torture someone with their new toy.
-
They make changes based on feedback. They nerf killers and their perks quite often. They don't have much time for new game modes when they're testing out all the nerfs that get asked for. /sarcasm
-
I'm really disappointed. I used it before it was buffed because it was good then, it was great after the buff. I wish they would've just reduced the incapacitation back to its pre-buffed state instead of removing it altogether. People talking about being carried by perks when there's one that literally makes you…
-
Then how do you think the developers should give killers a way to slow down survivors working on generators? Because that's the only objective survivors have and stopping them from doing it is one of five objectives the killer has. So killers have to have a way to slow it down and since everyone cries about gen slow down…
-
So he has a counter but you want him to have more than one? Sounds like you don't want a fair fight but an easy one.
-
So what you're getting at is you want Behaviour to limit perks like it's done in Tournaments. Okay.
-
You could wait out or bait old DH. It was less effective because they got more distance then but you still could do it. You're claiming the person who used to only eat their poop, but now only has it for 2 meals a day, is now "the most healthy they've ever been" basically. "Nerf it and it becomes useless!" That's been said…
-
There's no such thing as a baby killer. This game isn't getting new players so frequently that all of you are getting matched with "baby killers" all the time. The key to not getting lobby dodged. Get off comms, stop SWFing, and play the game the way it's balanced around being played. Leave the sweat squad stuff to CoD.…
-
"To give it a slight boost we're removing the cooldown entirely." Is that what we're calling slight boosts now? It had a 60-second-long cooldown. That's not a slight boost that's a massive buff. It really does seem like they're trying to push players away from the killer. My guess is they're very close to working killer…
-
This is why killer descriptions shouldn't be so vague. There should be a detailed breakdown of cooldowns, durations, percentages, etc. It would clear a lot of these types of posts up.
-
If it's not campy horror like scary movie then it won't work. I feel like most people who play the game would laugh through a seriously attempted DBD horror movie. Unless they do it, the killer gets stomped by flashlights and pallets, and all 4 people survive the movie. But what kind of horror movie is it where no one dies…
-
Can't speak for everyone. But they're not easy to pull off, so when I finally do I want to be able to see the thing I put the effort into achieving.
-
There already are counters to it. There are multiple gen aura perks that will show you which generators are corrupt and which aren't. You shouldn't start the generator you spawn near. It's asking to be the first chased.
-
They seem to be in an endless cycle of pleasing a player base that will never be pleased. Unless they're gaining players as fast as they're losing them they aren't drawing new players in. So trying to balance or cater the game to new players is a bit silly. If anything it seems there's a slow leak. As someone else said a…
-
I saw some people play against her and it seems like her drones are really easy to avoid. Just avoid the rotating walls and turn it off. They know where you are but the drone is gone and now they have to make it to you. So unless it's going to keep you from working on a generator (and you can hide behind the generator if…
-
I think a lot of us kind of figured after the 10s increase to gen times they would start swinging the nerf bat on all the gen regression perks. One step forward and two steps back.
-
Because the game is developed around what is annoying and not what is fair or balanced. It took one of the developers being chain flashlight stunned by 1s cast time flashlights repeatedly while getting zero hooks for it to get nerfed. It's the echo chamber they've created too on their forums. Start criticizing too harshly…
