Mostly the fact that you can play with bots, something that's sorely lacking the the PC version. I haven't played the mobile version too much, but it was fantastic to be able to try out a killer with bots. I'd take bots over any of the missing feature you mentioned any day.

I just don't think it's a matter of motivation. Looking at BHVR's history of games makes me think DBD was just a fluke. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behaviour_Interactive Looking at the recent non-mobile games, we have Deathgarden (which was shut down after only a year) and Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade (also shut…

Fair enough, sorry for jumping to conclusions. Please make sure the devs take note of the responses though. I really want to see this game improve to the point where people would be happy to vote for it. The devs need to know the game is not in that state right now.

The previous news post had the comments open for days. This one had the comments open for an hour. So yes, I have selective hearing when it comes to misleading information because I choose to ignore it. The comments in all the news posts I checked have been open for at least a few hours, this stands out as an anomaly and…
-
So rather than continuing to delete comments, you just completely stop all discussion? That seems like a really lazy solution. Delete the death threats and abusive comments, sure, but there's no reason to lock the thread other than to avoid the negative PR. Did you at least bring the valid criticism to the attention of the…
-
They were mostly complaints about the bugs and the fact that BHVR doesn't listen to its playerbase, both valid points. A lot of the comments just said no. Very few of the comments were actually hostile or aggressive, although I won't deny there are a couple of those in there as well. And unsurprisingly, there were almost…

Cool, I wonder what the NFT will look like.
-
Did Atari also blatantly lie to their community about their involvement in NFTs?
-
I like how much they nerfed the escaping aspect of the key, but they should probably buff it in other ways to even things out. I like keys being on the same level as moris (basically just a cosmetically different way to kill / escape), but since keys are an item and moris are only an offering, keys should probably get a…
-
They probably don't want it to be affected by things that change a killer's terror radius.
-
So a survivor hitting a pallet stun and then holding w beats a killer eating a pallet and then also just holding w? Sure, the survivor play isn't some high level MLG stuff, but you're also assuming the killer has no power or brain, of course they're going to have a rough time.

The latest chapter was kind of the last straw for me. We've had broken chapter after broken chapter, the anniversary event's "extra effort" was non-existent and the game is now leaking licensed content with BHVR refusing to comment on it. I feel like BHVR is trying to attract new players with shiny content without caring…
-
Yup, by refusing to say anything, they're encouraging people to wildly speculate on the reason. And if they're not saying because of a contract, well, they signed the contract knowing this could happen. I'm also pretty skeptical that they HAD to remove them so close to the release of the DLC and that the contract has a…
-
They haven't even said what the situation is yet. Until they say they are working on something (or say the voicelines are gone forever), I'm going to assume they're hoping people just stop talking about it.
-
Was really hoping this would have gotten a response from the devs by now. Should we just assume this is the new norm? I wonder what the next thing to get removed is going to be. My money's on Pig's Jigsaw boxes, that killer hasn't been screwed over in a while.
-
Yup, it could be a voice actor thing as well. But for now, I guess BHVR just wants to encourage wild speculation.
-
Then BHVR should say it's gone permanently. Until they do, people will be right to keep talking about it.

Clive Barker doesn't get the rights back until December. https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/3643180/clive-barker-regaining-u-s-rights-hellraiser-legal-battle/

Assuming the MMR system doesn't take SWF into account, the SWF groups will be put at the appropriate place eventually. They'll likely be higher MMR than they would be if they were playing solo. It's pretty pointless to try and target SWF specifically, there are a wide range of people that play in groups. A killer would…
-
And Oni was also going after people who were really skilled fighters themselves, a lot of the time.
-
If anyone's curious what the catch is, they want you to download an app and do a survey (and then will probably never give you the cells anyway).
-
No, I think BHVR's giving away their ability to talk the situation is enough of an issue though. I wouldn't be nearly as annoyed with the situation if BHVR could communicate a little bit. They haven't even stated whether the changes are going to be permanent or temporary and have refused to do so when asked. If they can't…
-
An agreement is negotiated. Not all licensing agreements give the license holders the same amount of power, I think BHVR is giving too much. And if they can't negotiate better terms, I would rather have them stick with original killers. This license has taken away BHVR's ability to be transparent with their playerbase and…
-
I really hope so, but I doubt it. I don't think the mods would be saying they can't comment on it if it was just some technical issue.
-
Exactly, if the license holders got bent out of shape, it's pretty pathetic on their part. Let's face it, Hellraiser is a franchise that had one good movie over 30 years ago, if anything the jokes will help people remember what the hell it is. It's sad that BHVR gives the license holders so much control in their…
-
Contracts are negotiable. If they were okay signing a contract that prevented them from having any kind of transparency with their consumers, then that's on them. I'm not necessarily saying they shouldn't have signed the contract. I'm sure a lot of people are still really happy to get Pinhead, even without voicelines. But…
-
BHVR signed the contract. It's their fault.
-
Yup, it's not actually fraud, but it's as close as you can get without technically crossing the line.
-
Then they need to think twice about signing contracts in the future because this makes them look really bad.
-
Patch notes shouldn't rely on you inferring what they mean. Transparency is not that difficult and if BHVR made it difficult by signing a contract, that's on them.
-
Not really. I've been taking a break from the game since the RE launch, waiting for things to be playable again and at this point I'm just not sure that's going to happen.
-
If BHVR's action cause people to think they are misleading buyers then it is something they are bringing on themselves. If they are not called out on it, they'll continue to behave this way. More likely than not, they'll continue to behave this way anyway, but at least more people will know how they operate. They still…
-
Way to make assumptions. I didn't buy the DLC and don't intend to if this is the way BHVR is going to operate. I'm not complaining because I feel cheated. I'm complaining because I WANT to be able to get excited about future DLC. If BHVR is going to give players the bare minimum then I'm not going to buy any more DLC. The…
-
And you continue to completely absolve the seller of providing information in a visible way. I just think BHVR can do better and am really hoping they strive to do so in the future.
-
Because a company should want to be transparent with their consumers. People go to the patch notes expecting things like mechanical changes, not changes to the theme of the character. I do think this is misleading buyers since the main exposure people have to the killer is what was seen on the PTB. If BHVR doesn't want to…
-
Why do you keep using quotations marks for things I didn't even say? Is that the only way you can make your point? Putting words in people's mouths? I saw a post on reddit about the change and didn't buy the DLC because of it. That doesn't mean that I can't complain about horrible business practices when I see them. I'm…
-
I would also like to know the answer to this. "Complications" is super vague and the moderator posts about the voice lines have been vague as well.
-
You're talking about obligation again. I'm talking about what they SHOULD do if they care about their customers. You seem more concerned with what they HAVE to do to avoid a fraud lawsuit. Legally, they have no obligation to keep the game running at all. They could shut it down tomorrow like they did with Deathgarden. Are…
-
Right and that's why BHVR is not legally responsible. But they know that people watch those streams to see what the new killer is like and they decided to do the bare minimum to inform the playerbase of the change. This isn't fraud, they are allowed to change things from the PTB. But if they make a controversial change…
-
The main advertising DBD gets comes from the streams and videos of their fog whisperers which show a killer with voice lines. That's how they mislead buyers. More people will watch those streams then read the patch notes. If they cared about transparency, they could have sent a tweet about the voice lines. Putting it in…
-
Legally, BHVR could just shut down the game tomorrow like they did with Deathgarden. It would be a ######### move to do so, but they have no DUTY to keep this game up. But it would be ######### to do that. They have no DUTY to give us more info about these voice lines and no DUTY to post about it in a place more public than the…
-
Then that's their fault for signing the contract. If the contract had some term that may make them look very bad to their customers and they decided to sign anyway, that's on them. It definitely doesn't get them off the hook to just say their hands are tied. They tied their own hands on this one.
-
Yup. Guessing they ran into legal issues and made the vague comment about file complications so people would still buy the dlc. If it was a technical issue they'd be more open about it. If it IS a technical issue and this is how they've decided to handle it then they seriously need to work on communication.
-
The patch notes say it's due to complications with the audio files which would strongly imply they're coming back. Your earlier post about not commenting further strongly implies it's due to legal issues instead which would mean they likely aren't coming back. So are the patch notes misleading or are the voice lines coming…
-
It feels pretty dirty to remove them last second like this, almost a bait and switch. I really hope BHVR will give an actual answer about this. Between these voice lines being removed and losing the Stranger Things content, I'm starting to have serious concerns about any future licensed content.
-
Yup, exactly. I think what they'd need to do is have something more like a 'party' mode. Some people already claim this is a party game so might as well go with something that fits the bill. Basically, I'm talking about adding a lot of RNG that would make it less appealing to more competitive players, but more appealing to…
-
You'll only be playing with sweats if you're playing sweaty. If you don't care about 4Ks, then just play the way you want, no one is forcing you to sweat. But that's not what you want. You want to get paired against scrubs so you can 4k without having to actually try.
-
That argument made sense when the game was small, but now it's regularly hanging near the top of the steam charts, ranked 11 right now for example. Plus, this game has crossplay so there's even more players on console in addition to the over 50,000 on steam right now. Plenty of games with less players have multiple mode.…

Myers. It's not that he's particularly strong or anything, but for some reason my brain just completely turns off when I'm facing him.
-
I figure they either worked out a long term deal or just want to make money with it while they can. Copyright law is weird, so I'm just making guesses at this point really.
