Let me preface this by saying I was wrong. There are no words to describe the depth of my disappointment in BHVR's decision to support NFTs, but I believe this action summarizes it: I'm uninstalling Dead by Daylight forever. Goodbye.
-
For me, casual means I'm not playing to the best of my ability and don't concern myself with winning or losing. Maybe I miss a few hits because I'm not really thinking about whether I should do a quick attack or a lunge, maybe I get caught because I ran into a dead-end because I wasn't paying attention to where I was…
-
you don't like survivor rules for killers? I don't know why.... Although that's also true, my main issue is players thinking they can tell other players how to play and act superior when they lose just because they handicapped themselves and expected everyone else to do the same. and I would really wanna talk about how the…
-
I'm sure most of them will accept new rules, as long as they're real rules that the devs come up with.
-
Well, if you upload it to YouTube, it has a "blur" feature that will blur a specific part of the screen for as long as you want. Since names are always in the same location during the trial, you can use that on the part that shows the name.
-
There's a reason most social media indicates general dissatisfaction, though. Because that's what gets clicks/engagement. Social media is an echo chamber for complaints, people who are satisfied rarely - if ever - go on social media to praise stuff. Same thing with forums, nobody comes here to say they're satisfied with…
-
You just need to censor names.
-
It's not a reportable offense, though. It only seems ironic because you're working off a faulty assumption.
-
I didn't say anything about holding the game hostage. If you look clearly at the reportable offenses in game, I'm almost certain it mentions specifically targeting individual players. That is a reportable offense. It's not, though, and the mods have already pointed that out many times.
-
Camping is not holding the game hostage. For the game to be held hostage, it needs to be unable to progress. A camped player will die within 2 minutes, max, thereby progressing the game.
-
If it were that easy, don't you think every single game in existence would have a perfect anti-cheat? I'm not saying DbD's is perfect, but you have to know it's not as simple as "thing happens when it shouldn't".
-
If the killer is camping, you shouldn't be rescuing at all. You're just feeding at that point, like going 1v5 in a MOBA.
-
How did that survivor end up on the hook, though? Did they not play up until the point of failure? Isn't that how literally every game works?
-
Right, considering no comment has a vote passed the first page besides your own, "didnt upvote myself." sure sure... You literally can't upvote your own comments. Try it and see.
-
It's not an aura perk, but it's definitely helpful. You are basically saying that seeing more of your surroundings isn't helpful, which makes zero sense.
-
And how many do you think wanted mods gone, if only to provide some relief from the cheating that could be done with mods?
-
Let me rephrase: how many people do you believe were affected by this change?
-
If Shadowborn (i.e.: FoV increase) has no effect, why do you want it?
-
That's hit validation. Your vault occurred after the hit, as far as the server is concerned. It's RNG. You got a low roll, it happens.
-
Useful or not, they are a passive ability. So that happened first.
-
Nobody's saying they are free from criticism, we're saying the criticism is grasping at straws to make them look bad and it's no surprise they don't communicate with us more often. Don't compare developers with heads of state, please. They're nowhere near the same level.
-
Was someone else carrying the cube? Maybe someone in your vicinity?
-
Yeah, they made a statement admitting to the mistake. What do you want, exactly? For them to just let you bash them and never admit their mistakes?
-
Exhibit C of another case, perhaps. Again, this is about the guide.
-
Which was already established as having been a simple mix-up between one of those Exhaustion perks and another one (I think it was between Lithe and Windows of Opportunity, but I'm not 100% sure). This is why the devs don't communicate more. What's the point, if people are going to twist everything into something that…
-
I just want @Rey_512 to explain what's wrong with a beginner's guide explaining the game at a beginner's level.
-
Let's stay on-topic. What's wrong with a beginner's guide explaining the game at a beginner's level?
-
It's a beginner's guide. For beginners. Haven't you ever played through a video game tutorial? They don't start you off with the strategies used by the best players, they start with more basic concepts that you can actually grasp.
-
The game can't read your mind nor know your intentions, though.
-
I got the steamid of the hacker and he just straight up changed his nickname and how the heck would I know if I would get matched with him again? Because the SteamID is static and independent of their username?
-
Just how many people do you believe stopped playing because you can no longer use mods? The console playerbase is unaffected, the streamers stayed, and most people weren't using mods to begin with (modders are a minority in almost every single game in existence).
-
And I keep seeing comments to the reverse, that cheaters they reported were banned. Agreed, the report system needs to be improved.
-
We have seen him fill in the report forms on stream. This would've been helpful to know earlier, just FYI. You do you, we can't change how you see the game or what is happening around you. And this rings hollow when you withhold relevant information like that. yes... someone having their living destroyed by cheaters would…
-
Thank you. However, without knowing for certain that he did, in fact, report them properly, I can't take that at face value, especially since other people have said that the people they reported have been banned.
-
Well, I checked OP's post history and all they do is write threads complaining about (supposed) modders/cheaters/hackers. This thread kinda makes all their previous complaints suspect.
-
Alright, so... Dodging hatchets isn't a "mod", it's literally what survivors are supposed to do. She also didn't "dodge all [your] hatchets", she dodged one or two and you hit the terrain with every other hatchet. The perk they disabled is called Hex: Huntress Lullaby. ALL Hex perks can be permanently disabled if survivors…
-
Do you wanna summarize the points of the video? I don't tend to watch several minutes of a video someone posts at random without any context.
-
If you don't report him with evidence, sure.
-
That's no more (or less) welcoming than the rest of the forum. Like I said, it's just another section.
-
We get little in the form of openness, honest communication, or accountability from BHVR talking heads. Would you want them to tell you all the things they are and/or have considered over the years? That's a lot of useless information, IMO. Personally, I don't want to hear about things that are on the drawing board, I want…
-
True, but you were complaining about them leaving others to die, which is a very common prey behavior.
-
Sounds like prey to me, staying away from the predator and areas where the predator might be.
-
I found it welcoming, within reason. It's just another forum section, after all. Dunno what you mean by "transparent", though.
-
Devs need to open a line of communication to allow the community to say what they are seeing that's making the game not fun to play and unfair as well. The Feedback and Suggestions section is open to everyone.
-
Except we're talking about survivor scoring within the same trial and how some players are reacting to the scoring caps, not survivor scoring in general. Your implication that they would/should just play killer if they wanted that 5k would only be meaningful if they could swap roles during the trial, which they can't.
-
Tell that to my Basement Bubba/Myers even when no one pops in to say hi. Survivors are always strapped for points in low-mid, but an absent killer game can shore up that 5k easily - the pretense that no one has the option of switching roles is asinine. We're talking about survivors' points, though. It's literally in the…
-
Then I'd be up against an AFK killer, in which case I'd cleanse totems (a good source of BP and also counters "AFK" killers with NOED) and GTFO.
-
You can't, though, due to stillness crows. At best, you can constantly hop between lockers, which is about as engaging as watching paint dry. Even then, the points you get from being in the basement are very low. It's 5 BP/s, so you'd need to spend 2000 seconds (33 minutes and 20 seconds) constantly hopping between lockers…
-
You'd think helping yourself escape would be a big enough incentive. That's 5k BP they're potentially pissing away for no reason.
-
Candyman, obviously.
