  • Weren't they already planning a change to DS? Making it a stun, rather than dropping the survivor? I never have issues with survivors using DS. It's an extra chance, that's all. Most survivors using it immediately run a straight line from where they're dropped so its easy to chase them down. But you have to deal with it…
  • I haven't noticed any issues since the changes. But maybe thats just the maps I've been on and the fact survivors have apparently worn the brightest colours possible since cosmetics became available.
  • Haven't played him yet, put about 200k BP into him to get a few things ready for some games tonight. A lot of stuff worrying me about his playability but I'll wait to play for myself, I tend to have a liking for the low end killers. Doc is one of my faves so who knows haha
  • Timer always seems a pain to read to me when I'm playing pig. I never know how long is left on someone's timer. As for the jumpscare thing, my reasoning is as follows. I prefer tension over jumpscares in horror, also picture the scene if you will.... You're crouched, creeping towards a survive who's rummaging through a…
  • I tend to look at things like camping, tunneling and other 'unfun' tactics as part of my toolbag but not necessarily the tools I bring out often. They're there when they're called for but usually there isn't a need for it. Maybe its just because I'm rank 15 killer at the moment, but I've never used them much. Basically…
  • Buffs: 1. Yeah ok, I'll give you the vision height one. 2. Pointless, survivor's don't care as they know as soon as chase is broken to find the box, whether its close to snapping or not. 3. Pointless and weird, why would the boxes suddenly materialise because they had a trap on their head? Also, wouldn't matter as survivor…
  • A killer who's infested and controlled by some kind of parasite, could walk unnaturally, look twisted and deformed. Something like the Las Plagas from Resident Evil. A killer based around sounds and silence, maybe creates small trap-like pockets of total silence or white noise where even the killer heartbeat can't be…
  • Personally I prefer the Spirit. I've tried playing Nurse but I fail, miserably. But I find that when I play Spirit it just works. I have most of my games end up with 3 or 4 kills. Although like nurse, the gap between a good and bad game is usually bigger. For me its either 3/4k or none as Spirit for one reason or another.…
  • I don't really see him as weak. I play him a fair bit and do well, almost always 3 kills, 4kills if I try hard. He has weaknesses sure, but they can be managed if played right. As long as you get good at controlling his chainsaw, manoeuvring tight turns and around/between trees and walls, then you're golden.
  • Tends to happen to me after enough gens for hatch to spawn have been done. Then it seems some people just don't care and will throw their team mates under the bus because they know they can get out
  • I'd lean more on bad survivors tilting me more, but not just new at the game or whatever. They have to be really really bordering on intentionally bad
  • I had a game as survivor sometime last week that was weird. The guy playing Leatherface just seemed to not be attacking. 3 of us on a gen and he walks ups then just stares at people menacingly for the time it took to get the gen to about 70% then hits one person. At the end of the match, both exit doors open so I figured…
  • Also, most of the survivor cosmetics seem to just be re-colours
  • They're not a problem really. It just means that I have to chase you or them down to get another hook. While I'm in a chase, it means I'm not patrolling gens etc. Plus if I go for the one who's been unhooked I get accused of tunneling. It doesn't help killer because even if you get a hit on the YOLO survivor, there are…
  • I'd like the ability to pick a colour myself. I suffer with red colourblindness so I can struggle to pick out the gen auras against brownish backgrounds. It's fine on maps with an overall blue or grey colour tone. But maps such as Autowreckers or Rotten Fields I find it hard to see the auras.
  • Doesn't buffing solo survivor's provide a buff to SWF also? Any buffs to perks, offerings or gear/add-ons is going to benefit a SWF group as well. I think they just continue working to buff killers and re-work the weaker ones. Seems to be going well so far.
  • He's a killer who really needs his personal perks for end game imo. Being able to make the exit gate take longer to open and blocking off the exits is meant to be how he stops people running back to save a teammate and for them to escape before Freddy can transition them and down them again.
  • I'll stick with my consoles thanks. For comfort, the fact I can keep my girlfriend's kids occupied with a second controller in the front room, the fact everything for the console will work from release of the console, for not having to keep sinking money in to upgrade it and handle the issues, the list goes on.
  • Beyond it being useful as people wouldn't expect it, I'd find it difficult to argue it's use over other perks that are available. Maybe in some fun themed builds based around tracking the survivors at every opportunity. Edit: Or at least make the values 50/75/100% rather than 50/50/75%
  • Make the auras of disturbed crows visible briefly as they fly away. If you were hunting someone, you'd notice birds suddenly scattering. Seeing the auras of the crows means you know where a survivor has been, but won't see the direction they're going so helps stop it being too good at homing in on someone. I feel like…
  • I've had the misfortune of every match where I play survivor and use a streamer, the killer DCs seconds into the match and it feels wasted. Usually do quite nicely with streamer when I play killer though with BBQ
  • I think the one I'm missing is Jake's.
  • It's just there to stop campers having such an easy time downing the same survivor whenever they're unhooked. I prefer the way it works currently, giving the effect only to the unhooked survivor with a shorter bleed out than originally.
  • This whole thread has been a real page turner. Came for the drama, but stayed for the comedy. Can't understand the mindset behind insulting someone, then getting enraged when they curse you out in return. 'How dare they insult me for insulting and harassing them. How DARE they!'
  • Funny is a very subjective thing. In my experience, neither survivor's or killers are any funnier than than the other. But on a serious note re the topic, I think No Mither can be a good perk if used right. It has some good synergy with perks such as Resilience and This Is Not Happening. It's also nice to have an extra…
  • I like this idea. There could even be a Prestige 4 reward one if they ever put P4 in the game. I'd love to have the gold chainsaw from Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 for Leatherface with 'The Saw Is Family' along the blade :) and Doc could have grasping ghost hands or ice effect instead of the electricity.
  • I just assume all the killer's weapons have been strengthened by the entity. And I like Leatherface's tantrum, it makes sense as part of his canon. If he hasn't hit you with the initial swing that he missed, then he shouldn't be hitting you with the tantrum unless you've walked back into him. It also immobilises…
  • I'm so sad they've stopped developing DLC now for F13 because of the court case between the director and writer of the original film :( (not related to the topic at hand but the mention of F13 made me think of this)
  • I quite like Auto wreckers. Cannot stand Rotten Field. The corn, so much corn.
  • I'm so up for this.
  • I agree the auto-deactivate during chases would work and the boost should be much lower, like the 30% you suggested. That balances it out a lot more. I edited my last post with guff about different killers being affected differently by the way it is in the OP. Yes increasing unhook speed would encourage YOLO saves, but…
  • I mean, at the end of the day the type of player who's happy to stand there facecamping a survivor for ages, theyre not going to be detered by something like BBQ and chilli. But you can't make a perk that punishes all the killer players who don't camp. Going along with the OP, the moment a killer hooked someone with the…
  • I find it ironic how, in a topic about I find more toxic behaviour in DbD than other games, an argument has broken out, apparently over whether or not toxic play is ok. And Der_Schatten, yes, I'm not the greatest survivor player, but I'm quite happy with what I do. I also don't have the best luck with getting Escape Cakes…
  • Are we forgetting offerings? Edit: And whatever makes up the post-game bonus
  • I normally do just fine with blood points. A good 25-35k each game. I don't just sit in a bush and do nothing until the exit gate's open. I repair gens, I heal teammates, I dodge the killer if chased, so on and so forth. I just play stealthy and don't do stupid stuff like YOLO saves or leading killers to my teammates or…
  • There's a major difference between playing well and playing toxic. I've managed to survive plenty of matches as survivor without using flashlights, bodyblocks, looping etc. I just act stealthy and don't make stupid decisions. Also, this topic was more about abusive chat and messages being aimed at people rather than toxic…
  • As a killer main I whole heartedly encourage the use of No Mither :chuffed:
  • Why not just make a perk where if the killer is within facecamping range of a hook (call it 5-10 metres) then that survivor can be unhooked 150% faster? Or something like the pig's traps where if a killer is within 10 metres of a hook, the entity stops summoning? Something simple and straight forward. Never mind all this…
  • I've always felt that if a hex perk involves tokens, that each token corresponds to a totem. As you accrue totems, more light up. Then as they're cleansed you lose the corresponding token, not the whole perk. It would incentivise something extra for survivor's to do without penalising the killer instantly if their one…
  • Don't think the game needs more active toxic play. I don't see why you'd want to be toxic unless someone has been a troll all game or something.
  • ...are you asking for ways to be toxic that are more fun?
  • I'd rather your holiday signify a day where people get together to not be toxic. Why not let every first hook escape the match as a sign of independance 8-)
  • Simple answer to the topic title - No, you don't HAVE to play Nurse. Play the killers you enjoy most or play best, regardless of whether they're high tier or not. Nurse is top dog but the skill curve is ridiculous. There's no other killer with a more obvious difference between a good nurse and a bad nurse. I suck at nurse…
  • It's a trap. It's always a trap. You're being distracted from what their team is doing. Ignore the tea bagger and go hunting
  • Doc pips it for me. I also like the noise he makes when pallet slammed
  • This happens to me a lot. I'm leaving the hook or basement hook, not far away and then they're unhooked. Naturally you're going to turn around to go back. Why survivors think you won't is beyond me
  • That's more than likely what it boils down to. It's just something that's always stood out about DbD especially. Earlier today I was called a tryhard for having a fun game against 3 survivors, they had 4 gens done by the time I killed the three of them. I thought it was a good game until one of them piped up at me about…
  • In respect of vaulting windows, you need to bear in mind you're still within range if you're just the other side of the window. When I play killer, there are plenty of times I swing or lunge within range of a hit, and yet somehow I miss. And don't even get me started on the fresh hell that is a lagging survivor. Running…
  • Sabotage doesn't really bother me. It can be a pain if it's the one hook within a reasonable distance but it's there as a tactic for survivors to save teammates. Only time it winds me up is if two or three hooks in a row are dropped as Im approaching them but oh well
  • Just have to roll with the salt. A lot of survivor mains are the type of player that get off on toying with other players (teabagging, bodyblocking, so on and so forth), but this type of survivor can't handle it when their bullshit gets put to an end in a match or when they get a taste of their own medicine. Use the salt,…
