I don't get the nerf either. it was a good perk that encouraged good play instead of tunneling and camping aka go for every survivor not target one. But o well guess people will go back to pain res.
-
@CyberRoninX looking at old records it comes from a Q&A back in Oct 2021. The original q&a I can't find but there are many people who go over it and complain about it. Otz being one of them. I have seen no metion of them changing this. For steam users most stat websites like https://dbd-stats.net/ show how many hatch…

Lame hackers are lame. Not much more to say.
-
few things: 1. How long did they wait for? 2. Two or three man swf are very common and are more common the 4 man swf. this is where you can see differnt levels as well. some regions or if you play at ungodly hours you can low survivor ques and higher killer ques but then the issue would filp. AKA a baby to pro killer going…
-
they tried that before and in extreme cases the que times were over 45mins. As things stand with people saying so many survivors are leaving with the upcoming patch it might funnily enough get better for solo que players due to less bad matchmaking. If survivor player do quit plaing that is.
-
been said many times before. Due to que times if they wait to long they will just be thrown into a match. During peak hours its not unheard of to have 70 to 90 survivors for each killer player..
-
from what it seems maybe 10 to 20% will leave. Killers won't really notice as during peak time for every killer player their is 80 to 90 survivors so even if half leave it won't be a real issue.
-
great advice from both @Remediast and @geni I find a lot of new trickster players struggle when to pull out their blades and when not to pull out their blades as the slow down can really mess you up. As for tactics, for me, it is really map-dependent. For example, if I am playing on "The game" I often let the bottom gens…
-
I think he is talking about camping, not tunneling. To me, the issue with camping is sometimes it is called for other times it is abused. Bubba camping basement with 5 gens up? Fairly un sportsmen like you can easily call that trolling and should be punished. on the other hand, if you are in a close match, gates open, one…
-
your math is good. petty much matches mine. I guess from my point of view there are times when I hook a survivor near a gen kick and move on. Sure It's not as good as before but Pop did have a 35% pick rate for a reason. It was too strong, I don't think the perk will be useless, or it's doomsday for this perk (look at ruin…
-
As others have said, the risk for mind gaming rather then brute forcing is high. Due to this as killer, you should only mind game rarely so you catch people off guard.
-
No the claim from OP was "Pop goes the Wessel has been nerfed so badly its no longer pays off for the killer to leave the hook, you probably waste more time going to that gen than you gain on the actual regression"
-
for those wondering what the difference would be. As the Devs said themselves "This change will make Pop Goes the Weasel very effective against generators that are nearly done, but weaker against those with a small amount of progress."
-
An interesting view. but some things to note which you may have missed: 1.pop nerf combine with the base mini pop you have now is not that much of an extreme difference. 2. pain res was OP and very much an over picked perk. You could aurge it was over done but to say it was fine was a bit much. 3. over change was way too…
-
expect they don't. old graphs released show solo que survival rates vs SWF they don't just look at high mmr. As demon baby had metion, the kill rate was at a lower level then the devs wanted (what level they wanted they have not said or I can't find any info for). Que times wise as they have started before seems to be…
-
one other small note in my play region (Aus) I only really see Blight and Huntess players. Rarely do I see anyone else, and I would love to vs other killers on a more regular bases.
-
man, so many angry people in here. I would do a slight nerf to her range add on so you don't get a speed boast from it. Also make her blink attack count as a special attack but thats it. one carzy thought for the high mmr players. If the kill rate for killers is low at all levels at the moment and you are often only seeing…
-
2 points of views 1. From a killer side it heavily depends on the killer, as decent aiming and flicking skills are needed on quite a few killers 2. From Survivor side camera control becomes the main downside vs MnK not inculding people running stretched screens "fliter" changes
-
I don't mind vsing any killer. From what I have seen when I play killer Pinhead cause more DC then any of my other killers and it can completely F the other often solo que players.(SWF really dc at the start of a match). personally I rather if people could block certian maps (Survivor and killer) not certian killers.
-
I play a lot of killer aswell and most survivors don't notice my wriath or ghost face until I look at them (how I use to check for spine chill). I would say its going to become super map dependent aswell which will kill it. so maps like the game it will become usless
-
it will be more niche and less all round good. It will still be great vs stealth killers.
-
it has been said many many times before, your MMR is not link to rank. To make matters worse their is also no mmr decry so you could be gone for a year come back and your MMR will remain the same.
-
Guess a couple of things from a killer side. in most maps, it is really unlikely you had enough hooks to reach everyone. You also said "nobody had ds active" but how would the killer know that unless he ate one or two beforehand and then guessed that you were all running it. Thus he went for the 100% win sweaty win at all…
-
while this is a good idea I don't think it will fix the long queues or slove the issue. This is a I can't play with my friends core issue peak time to I can't find four other players to vs off peak time.
-
so you can find the info here:https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/319692 But when they did bidirectional matchmaking (aka more of what you are after) queue times in their words was " Longer queue times were an understatement; some players were experiencing exceptionally long queue times (15 minutes+)." I don't…
-
That is really odd then unless you play insanely off-peak or something. If someone is qued for an ungodly amount of time they will get matched regardless of MMR but it is often the other way around with killers having an instant queue and Survivors waiting for ages to find a match.
-
Sorry to hear that but can I ask how long were you qued for?
-
No, But as Comsmic Paragon was saying if people que too long they get a match regardless of MMR.
-
Sadly as others have said this is a population issue that is affecting MMR. I find if you avoid prime time the MMR works quite well even with new killers. Surprising no one, people want to play with their friends during weekends and you can't play killer with friends unless you make your own lobby with 5 people. To make…
-
lots of killers are back and offten it is newbie killer who run it for muilple reason but the main ones are. 1. They may not have other perks unlocked. 2. when running with the new killer they may have rushed to level it but got bad perks in the bloodweb 3.Sadly due to bad mmr baby killers have been going up vs full SWF…
-
With TPing, I can understand it was maybe lag. Often use escape key and see their ping and it is sometimes 900+ for that person and give them the benefit of the doubt, but you can't lag through an exit gate......
-
Well, that's a start. Ouch, The two bad ones I just had in the 20 were if I down someone I could not pick them up and was stuck for about a min doing nothing. The other insanely blatant one was a TPer who got through the exit gates while the doors were shut.
-
Besides what others have said. I play almost every killer except trapper and Freddy. I find if I go a killer that I am not that good with I often get newer survivors compared to my mains who I now often get high-rank players (some fall through the cracks and a new but much rarer compared to my main killers). Maybe have a…
-
As I said I mainly play killer (only play survivor with friends.) So no idea how common it is for killers to do it. Well, that's disheartening news.
-
Ping wise Aus to US west is around 150 to 200. US east to Europe is 100 to 120 so that would make sense
-
Wait, is that a thing? So even though I am an Aussie player I might end up vsing people playing from USA? (that would roughly be their pings)
-
As an example. When I am in the lobby around 24 ping.
-
I have had this happen to me quite a few times. Check your opponents ping , I find they often have high ping or jumpy internet (seem some people go from 35 to 450 up and down constantly). Sadly there is no way to check pre trial what their ping is.
-
Wouldn't I still have a low or high MMR? Or are you saying their is a separate MMR for SWF? For example their is team MMR and player mmr in most moba games.
-
One other odd factor seems to be if you are a in a solo que or group. When I solo que it is a 15 to 20 mins wait time. When I am in a group of 2 or 3 people 3 to 5 mins. I am unsure why, as this is at the same time.
-
In my area(Aus), I find in my area it's 15 to 20 mins to solo que if I am in a 3 or 2 man 5 min queue. Killer is petty much instant queues (5 to 15 secs) at all times of the day. I would say in my country there is a lack of killers based on the queue times at least.
-
honestly depends on a lot of factors. Doing that on the first hook is 95% chance of being bad though and you will lose badly odds are 0K or 1K. The only time I have ever done that is when I was playing Oni vs a team who pick RPD running four flashlights. They kept trying to bait near the library and just being toxic so I…
