Hardly a fair comparison. The killer literally makes the choice to use their power or not, survivors cannot freely choose where they encounter the killer.
-
If crouch teching is so punishing for those killers and nullifies their powers to a borderline broken degree, how on earth are Billy and Blight considered some of the best killers in the game? Surely if it's so easy to counter their powers, they should barely be getting any kills. Because it's not like people don't know…
-
Like who exactly?
-
I mean, killers aren't FORCED to always use their power. If a survivor keeps crouch teching you, you should probably just go for an M1. A big part of this game is learning how to make the better choice in a certain scenario. Hence why killers like Huntress or Hillbilly even have the option to M1 in the first place.
-
Tbh if it's anything like the original, it might. I feel as though the original was a good deal different to dbd, enough that if you got bored of one title, you could play the other without it feeling too similar. That being said, this new one could just be a dbd clone for all I know, I'll have to look into it some more.
-
Okay? And then they'll be on second? Regardless of how many times survivors use it, they are exposing themselves, giving the killer ample opportunity to spread hooks out, even making it easier to do so.
-
Literally the only time that this perk will pose an issue for killers is if they tunnel? In fact if anything it rewards NOT tunnelling. Instead of going after the survivor that was just unhooked, you could go after the person who got the unhook, and then you'll already have someone in second phase???
-
?!?!
-
You need to double up on turrets. The only bad thing about this is that if your teammates don't know this, they'll just waste them by putting single ones somewhere.
-
How often are those mechanics even used? 9 times out of 10 I see killers slugging for no reasons other than to try and secure 4 kills the second the match starts, or simply to make the game as unfun for survivors as they can
-
You lost all credibility the second you implied that the existence of UNBREAKABLE means the game is survivor sided
-
Me when I hate joy and whimsy
-
Don't forget Artist's green rarity outfits
-
Not entirely true, ever since Pyramid head's release, his trails have been ridiculously buggy, often disappearing for no reason despite still being present in terms of survivors being able to stand in them.
-
You could say the exact same thing about survivors' aura reading perks though. You drop a pallet in chase? Aura read. The killer breaks said pallet? Aura read. You finish a gen? Aura read. The killer hits another survivor? Aura read. You get unhooked? Aura read. Once you start to identify when a killer has a perk that…
-
Bot to sound rude or anything but it's not impossible for M1 killers to catch survivors at a jungle gym.
-
Probably because it bridges the gap between solos and SWF, if I can equip a perk that tells me which pallets my teammates have used and therefore not run into complete deadzones, why wouldn't I? That's info that SWF get for free.
-
Tbf if you're holding a tape there's 0 point in going into the void as survivor. If you're already holding a special item such as a videotape or the lament configuration (those which cannot be dropped) you cannot pick up a void crystal which is pretty much the only reason to even enter the void this year.
-
So if I end up BEHIND the killer at the end of my 360, does that mean that the killer should have achieved that hit? There is a difference between a 360 and a whiff due to aim dressing, the latter if which, to my understanding, CANNOT be achieved consistently. Otherwise you would be seeing matches where the killer is unable…
-
If the devs are going to keep tiles in the game like jungle gyms without any windows or pallet gyms where the pallet can only be seen within 2 metres of its spawn location, I don't think they can afford to nerf the perk. Not only that but the info that it provides is something SWF get for free, widening the gap between…
-
That's a Game issue, not a WoO issue. A survivor could do the exact same thing WITHOUT using Windows.
-
I mean that's BHVR for you, you have to respect them addressing complaints from last year but whenever they make adjustments like these, the community asks for an inch and the devs give them a mile, which often leads to the scales being tipped from one side straight to the other, rather than balancing them as it were.
-
Completely agree, I find it hard to believe that BHVR can't implement some system that would dissipate the smoke on the survivor-end only, so I see no reason as to why they added them in their current state. If you're going to change the balance of the entire event compared to last year, the least they could do is…
-
It's certainly a frustrating thing to happen but it's in the name "chaos shuffle" it's meant to be a mode that is HEAVILY affected by the luck of the draw. If I were to change anything about the mode it would be COMPLETELY randomising a player's loadout (items and add-ons included) and removing the option to use map…
-
Wish I'd get some more chill games. I'm seeing tunnelling at 5 gens almost every match. Really don't understand why either, if you want to secure the win THAT bad, just play normal queues?
-
Not only 1, but 2 strong chase powers combined with ridiculous map traversal? Probably the antithesis of fun for me, I'd rather play against Xeno, and that's saying something.
-
At tiers 2 and 3, all it does is reward killers who are playing poorly. There are some instances where BL can be a necessary mechanic, but tier 1 alone achieves this.
-
Survivors can see the killer's shadow too, if anything it makes shack harder to play for killer
-
Surely that implies that everyone else is enjoying chaos shuffle??
-
Even if you have the time to heal, the killer can still come back to tunnel you even after that. And it would still be tunnelling.
-
What status effect are we talking about?
-
Are you on EU servers? I tried redeeming a code a few times and it said that there was a server issue, it's possible that the local server is just acting up.
-
Chucky or Blight, the hitboxes on their special attacks can be so lenient in their favour that I almost want to stop playing sometimes.
-
I'm a fan of a match against a PH, what I don't like about him is that the majority of the people that main him play in the most miserable way possible, a ranged attack that can injure multiple people is a tunneller's dream. Luckily he's not all that common of a killer to come across I suppose.
-
Post rework it was almost entirely survivor sided, post second rework, it feels absolutely miserable to play as survivor. The houses' god windows certainly needed removed, but BHVR seemingly decided that they needed to make every window on the map a deathtrap unless all the survivors brought BL, or they outright removed…
-
The game uses a class system with pre-determined builds I'm pretty sure, don't think you'd be able to have all survivors using the same perk/items
-
True as that is, the trails very often bug out and turn invisible if PH uses his power for a very short duration.
-
Not a good perk, but certainly an unhealthy one.
-
Idk how to break it to you, but the platform that someone plays on literally means nothing
-
STBFL was one of the most unhealthy perks in the game, putting non-ibsession survivors at a permanent disadvantage all match, all while the obsession can't force the killer to lose stacks outside of bodyblocking while the killer is carrying a survivor is not good design.
-
Tomb Raider has had plenty of instances where the title is horror adjacent. Uncharted on the other hand is an entirely action-based franchise. Although I do love the Uncharted series, I don't really see it ever being added to dbd.
-
I kind of am, I see overdrive as nothing more than rewarding players who are bad at using his power. Oh you missed 6 chainsaws in quick succession? Instead of encouraging you to get better at using his power, we'll just make it 10x easier for you to hit it instead.
-
I certainly hope not, the main problem with this event is the fact that killers have no time sink, they don't have to spend time breaking pallets or breakable walls, and they don't have to spend time hooking survivors, meanwhile survivors can, be quiet for a bit, spawn a party pallet, which can only be considered good if…
-
Recent map design, anything released post RPD/Haddonfield rework sort of time has been bad, and is still bad, whether it be full of God loops, or full of nothing but unsafe pallets and windows (the most recent version of Haddonfield included).
-
Honestly, the only nerf I can see being implemented is showing the aura of the item to the affected survivor and maybe reducing the duration of Oblivious by a little bit.
-
Because people are stubborn about hating her for some reason. Her current state isn't really all that bad, in fact the worst thing about her is actually the people that main her just because they know so many survivors don't like her, and therefore go out of their way to try and make people miserable. A SM that just plays…
-
THe day that my teammates stop throwing every pallet on the map before we even have 2 gens done is the day I rally for a Windows nerf
-
Idk about that, regardless of which country it is, it is always possible for nationalism to be used for bigotry. As someone else in this thread has stated, if I saw someone using the Israeli flag in any game atm, Iwould feel that the driving force behind them using that flag wouldn't just be simple national pride.
-
Tbf I am hating the recent trend of dead end pallets being added to the game. Haddonfield is full of them now, and if the killer forces the survivor to loop the pallet in a specific direction, even if they get the stun, they're still zoned into a dead end corner on an unsafe pallet, it's so dumb. (Edit: example pics so…
-
People found the remote pallet breaking annoying also (and rightfully so), preventing the survivor from vaulting the pallet makes it probably the best zoning tool ever added to the game.
