  • I mean I've noticed a major difference between the survivors that I get matched with (most of the time) and the survivors that I get matched with when I play as Killer. It's day and night and the difference is noticeable.
  • Personally, it's always nice to know that I have reliable help so I accept anyone that really excelled in teamwork.
  • Not to be disrespectful, but your comment just tells me that you didn't read any of my earlier comments. I'm not replying to any further comments under this thread because I truly don't think that most of you took the time to read why I DCed. Some people seem to get it and I'm not a fan of matches where someone DC's but…
  • Oh okay so what you're saying is that I should stay when I pretty much didn't leave the vicinity of the hook, gens aren't being worked on, and two minutes of my time was pretty much wasted? I'd rather be in another match at that point.
  • Meh I used to run it alot. Insidious and Bubba's "Broken" add-on tends to make short work of Survivors. I sometimes find myself laughing if I check a TTV's playback and they don't understand what "Broken" is or why they can't heal.
  • As a Killer and Survivor, I 100% LOVE the RPD. As a long-time Resident Evil fan, I memorized the map long ago. It's not difficult but you do need to learn how to navigate.
  • Bubba and Myers are the only two that I rarely ever use NOED with. Infinite EW3 Myers is an insta-down and Bubba can easily take down more than one Survivor. In a sense, NOED is similar to a crutch for some players. I've seen Killers take NOED, Devour Hope, etc. all in one match and sometimes it's just going a bit too far…
  • I agree and in this case, it's possible the Killer was farming with the Survivor because in both cases, the Killer ignored the dude unhooking me but kept hitting me. DCing was more about not letting the Killer have the final hook.
  • While I agree that SoloQ sucks (trust me, I feel your pain) I regularly camp with my Insidious Bubba and Insidious Infinite EW3 Myers. Depending on the Survivors, I sometimes lighten up a bit and resort to proxying (sometimes even leaving) the area. I camp more if someone is being "Clicky-Clicky" as a way of saying, "Yeah…
  • You and I are going to agree to disagree at this point. Context matters. Some matches just suck from the get-go. DCing mid-match is one thing. DCing because the match has barely gone on for two minutes and you somehow had the luck to be in situations like this are entirely different.
  • Context. Apples and Oranges my friend. And for all I know, the Killer was farming with a Survivor.
  • Really? Your definition of "Sore Loser" and mine seem to be completely different. I'm starting to think that none of you read my comment about SWF's DCing mid match... THAT is being a sore loser.
  • No need for the sass. In fact, you didn't read my comments. I said it wasn't as though I DCed after being outplayed like some SWF's do. In a case like this it's about poor matchmaking and getting the short end of the stick.
  • They could add a 6 month block or something like that. Something that resets every now and again.
  • The point of DCing at that point is because there is no point to remain if you've barely moved from the area. It's not like I was a sore loser in a SWF that DCed after getting outplayed.
  • You'll need to explain that. Sorry, but I'm not providing satisfaction to anyone by remaining in the match at that point, two minutes or not.
  • I agree. I suggested that they at least fix the Block function. Essentially, both Block and Report are worthless... all it does is block the individual from messaging you on that specific name. A more efficient use of Block would be if the function prevented you from being matched with that person again.
  • I agree. My MMR seems to be bouncing all over the place. I noticed 128 and all of a sudden it went as low as 30. It's always a joy when I meet Survivors that do their best to work together but lately it's just the opposite (UNLESS I happen to be playing Killer).
  • Haha Gameshark Pro was my favorite! I still have it. God those were the days...
  • Not necessarily. Anyone with half of a brain can take a loss... It becomes an issue when let's say you're playing as Doctor and somehow nobody seems to be affected by his special attack while gens in the next room are popping with no scratch marks. or even better... players (console and PC) who just happen to keep speeding…
  • Ahh I remember the days of Gameshark... trust me, there are a lot of cheaters in this game... many of them subtle. I've noticed that my connection starts going crazy whenever I get near someone cheating. They seem to gain bursts of speed (without the proper perks) and have this common habit of just vanishing after turning…
  • I think Reporting and Blocking could be much more efficient. The Block function at least IMO should allow you to block any and all players regardless of their platform. Yeah, I can see how the Report function might cause problems (I'm guilty of reporting entire teams out of anger) but the Block function should at least be…
  • Well let me tell you... my Survivor matchmaking has been absolutely terrible for the past two months. If I'm entering SoloQ, chances are that I'm bringing a key. I'm not going to run around single-handedly doing gens, unhooking, healing, etc. only to die on first hook.
  • When I play Killer, I always try to go to the RPD. Even as a Survivor I just like this map (not because of the Library) but because it's a nice change of environment. I tend to get 4k's with Doctor and it's all thanks to his Special. My build is: Corrupt Intervention, Dead Man's Switch, Lightborn, and Ruin. That build…
  • Thanks for letting me know. It's only started happening recently. Hasn't happened since yesterday but yeah the slowdown is very noticeable. Basically if I'm a Survivor, it looks like they're in an anti-gravity chamber walking. After Googling it I found really old posts about it but nobody ever seemed to figure out what was…
  • This is why I love my Tier III Myers. Infinite EW3, Insidious, and Lightborn. Kind of more fun than Bubba sometimes.
  • One thing I love is getting teamed up with Survivors that don't only rely on flashlight saves... they know how to sab hooks. Those are really good players that know how to cover their teammates. Always makes for an interesting match even when I play as Killer. Much respect to those people.
  • See I completely get that it gets abused by trolls, especially in the RPD... as a Survivor I run Tenacity, Boil Over, Soul Guard (or Power Struggle it depends), and Flip-Flop. I play a lot of SoloQ Survivor and it's more to avoid being left to die on 1st hook.
  • Yeah I mean I understand that BO was pretty OP but now it's basically just wiggle progression. Most Killers don't seem to struggle or feel any pressure from it.
  • They must have reworked Boil Over again because it's virtually unusable unless you fall in specific spots. The gauge barely fills and most Killers know to walk down stairs so yeah... and Tenacity is another one that hasn't been working the way it used to.
  • People are finally noting that there are console cheaters/ hackers. There are still people downplaying the issue but I truly enlightened myself after not only witnessing it on PSN, but watching actual videos of how people do it and are remaining undetected. I used Gameshark regularly when I was growing up until I realized…
  • When I say "Behaving Badly" I don't necessarily mean camping or tunneling. It's more about if someone appears to be locating survivors when they don't have the appropriate perk or survivors who seem to purposely ignore their teammates.
  • I would say that if they could implement this system and certain people get blocked/ reported enough, then maybe Behavior could look at those specific accounts. Nobody wants to get partnered with players behaving badly on purpose for an advantage.
  • My main has been Michael Myers. Build: Insidious, Corrupt Intervention, Iron Grasp, Lightborn. Add-ons: Fragrant Tuft of Hair and Judith Memorial. I tend to focus on one Survivor at a time unless I see someone is intentionally trying to get my attention.
  • I'm not sure what matches you've been getting into... but most of my Survivor matches end with me attempting to find hatch with maybe two generators completed. When I play Killer it's usually the complete opposite but I can generally get at least a 3k.
  • I lost count. I'm using map offerings in all of my matches because I refuse to go to Autohaven or Swamp again...
  • Yup exactly! Kind of like the lore they gave Ghost Face in DBD. He's a working guy by day, Killer by night.
  • I want to see more "Humanoid" Killers. Like a killer bride, next-door neighbor, the boss, etc. Humans are the scariest simply because it could be anyone you know.
  • Yep that's been SoloQ in a nutshell. I've been left in matches just because I was the "Random."
  • Trapper is fun to play but not fun to go against. I had a lot of fun playing him but I hate matches against him... unless I know the Survivors on hook or you've proven yourself to be a team player... seeya back at the campsite!
  • LOL I had a chill Nurse recently who I basically just stuck with for the entire match. It was SoloQ so as expected, the other Survivors weren't having anything to do with cooperation. Towards the end, I let her hook me as the other three Survivors watched... and then ran off. She just looked back and forth shaking "No" and…
  • Ahh yeah SoloQ is a different matter entirely... That build has saved me in SoloQ but it depends on whether or not the randoms decide to drop the pallet to save themselves.
  • Flip-flop, Power Struggle, and Tenacity. You're welcome.
  • Same with me. I'm noticing that either the Killer is just being really hardcore or the other three survivors just don't care. I'd like to think that some of my recent matches have been with much newer players but their skill sets are all tier 3 so I can't say for sure...
  • Same. Everyone is new at some point and sometimes people mess up. No biggie right? Then you have people that know exactly what they are doing and don't care.
  • That's kind of the point for a game like this... it's horror/ survival. As long as nobody is outright cheating to gain an advantage (and I mean hacking not camping) then it is what it is.
  • This is exactly why I turned into an Insidious Bubba/ Myers. I started to see things from the Killer's perspective and I've noticed that some Survivors, unfortunately, get their rocks off by harassing the Killer... and then have a tantrum when they don't escape.
  • It's interesting because I thought things were getting better, but once the event started, that took a 180. I was the random in a 4-man squad today and it didn't matter how well I played or how much I helped the other players. They left me to die and didn't even try to help. When I messaged them they each said, "Collateral…
  • I got them all. The best thing that you can do is to play as Killer because as long as you collect the invitation before the exit doors open, you are guaranteed a mask. It's more difficult for Survivors... if you die, no mask. If you get the invitation after the exit gates are opened, no mask. Again, you're better off…
  • "Tunnelling" is essentially chasing someone. In real life, Killers chase their targets. The goal of the Killer is to kill Survivors... that can't be done unless the Killer chases you. It's true, I don't like being the sole target of a Killer when I play Survivor but I've done the same exact thing when I play Killer... it…
