I'd wager there are enough survivor mains who'd not complain too much if the killer role got disabled. They'd just continue to play "GenRush Online". It must be that rewarding...
-
This is one of the main issues with matchmaking right there. BHVR being what they are, catering with this mechanic mainly to some entitled twats who can't be bothered to wait 2 minutes for a more balanced match. And the results of this are often pretty obvious on the post-match stats screens. Makes one debate to play less…

So, in consequence, you urge people to DC more in DbD. In order to "exit". Okay.
-
TBH, I rather feel more maps to be too small, like Hawkns' for example. Hardly any room to maneuver apart from a couple obvious oops.
-
The nerf threads got nerfed... obviously...
-
PS4 Pro with the 1TB HDD. And except for DbD I haven't encountered weird stutters, freezes and lag spikes like these. In any other game from my library. So despite reading about the "presumable SSD fix" it is not happening in my case. Because I don't need it for any other friggin' game. Thus I am not buying a bloody SSD…

The moon offerings weren't without issues, granted. But if the idea had been properly adapted for the game, it could have been a nice extra random element. Of course they'd have to be as scarce as the specific map offerings currently are.
-
And this is different than before how? When I started playing Huntress for a while (don't fancy her particularly), as soon as I got my third perk slot, I slotted three yellow perks (all I got). So I wanted to se how my new rank 17 killer would do. And this was quite a while ago, way before the MMR. Guess what happened - I…

Stuff like this is exactly why I'm a staunch advocate of the introduction of a blacklist for matchmaking purposes. There is simply some XXXXXXXX XXXX out there, I don't feel inclined to play with. And an in-game blacklist would be a real QoL improvement over having to note these player names down the old-fashioned way on…

You have the general iissue with Plague that the Vile Purge is highly susceptible to randomness in registering hits (especially on console). Now, depending on how exactly this bug/feature is influenced by these add-ons it could appear they do nothing. But this is more due to the broken game play of Plague which BHVR either…
-
That is indeed the major downside on this perk. It can't help you in your gameplay at all if the other survivors are beyond clueless. Like all other three hovering around nearby while I'm being camped on the hook. Has happened more than once to me. Almost makes me wish I could just turn the perk off in such a situation.
-
Maybe we just need a new forum sub section called "The whine cellar"? 😜
-
I'm not expecting too much at the moment, so it's kinda okay-ish. If the new MMR bases the actual (hidden) ranking on collected data from previous matches, I reckon it will take some time to collect just enough data. In particular for the many players who don't play several hours 7 days a week. For those I'd estimate it…
-
Likely falls in the same category as getting the same map to play on 4-5 times in a row. Happens, as to why it does...?
-
A classical dungeon could be something. They could start expanding on the already existing basement section of the temple.
-
So all this game is a playground for "content creators" and self-proclaimed "skilled players"? And the (casual) rest can rot in (matchmaking) hell or what? As chattel for this self-styled êlite? Let this entitled bunch then get their own (private) server and be done with it. And from my personal perspective also good…
-
Random guess: Annoy the survivors to death. Like the umpteenth Stinktrap post herein. 🙄
-
What makes you assume all players do take these devs seriously? Guess among those who stopped playing some aren't at the very least.
-
Easiest way to conceal the embarrassment that was and is current "matchmaking". It is actually a very convenient way to throw totally random people into trials now, who is going to complain about the result? Maybe next nix the perks showing in the final score table, so you have not much of a clue,, who you played with and…
-
Time needed for matchmaking will always be a hotly debated issue. Some are fine to wait 2 minutes or even more for better results, others want their "instant gratification" here and now and don't you dare deny it! Or they'll go back to Fartnite right away. But at the end of the day,, what good is one minute less rtime…
-
You yourself wrote, and I quote: "Breaths = toxic" Which leads to the logical conclusion that fixing toxicity would just require stopping to breathe? 😋
-
If we want all maps disabled someone has a beef with, we might end up with only Hawkins Lab as single map left or something. Then they could close down the servers as well. It's not like the variety is that big as is anyway.
-
You make it sound like an easy solution would simply be to stop breathing, right?
-
It seems you live in a weird neighborhood wirh such nightly stalkers..😂
-
Amen to that. I know a couple of people who stopped playing the game for good after a few weeks. Too unrewarding and unfun for newer players. And yes, in my humble opinion this joke of a matchmaking is one of the main factors there.
-
But that would be all his own fault for being dumb. But getting thrown into such a trial/match even though there was a considerable waiting time... is just shoddy game design.
-
Yet another unresolved technical ssue. That might or might not be "worked on". Just add it to the list. Not like it is long enough already, and has been for years.
-
Also, some people are just entitled crybabies who like to complain about each and everything going not their way. Don't like a particular map - go whine on the forums, don't like a particular killer, perk, whatever - go whine. And honestly, some of these complaints iare extremely trivial and short-sighted from just a…
-
Had a couple of fun trials with Pig, wasn't all that bad. Last time I played Plague though must have been... weeks? Months? Can't be bothered currently, nigh-unplayable on console with the still existing stutters and lag issues. Plus the still unresolved general issue with Plague's vomit sometimes magically just not…
-
And how is it not a waste of the killer's time as well? Unless you count wandering without purpose (aka getting anywhere near your objective) over the idyllic maps in game a meaningful activity.
-
Great, someone can't hack the map and thus asks for its removal. What's next? Someone can't survive every trial and asks for the removal of all killers perhaps?
-
Yep, all this game needs now w is a perk that lets survivor players pretty much teleport. Like these killers. /Irony overload
-
At least it is a situationally useful perk. Unlike its poor useless brother Shadowborn. Although I wonder if it might not actually make it easier to become flashlighted, as it supposedly extends your field of vision?
-
Reading something like this: "...Best loopers always know where they currently are in terms of map positioning, as well as the next safe spot to go to after their current tile gets used up..." ...makes me realize why I dropped and uninstalled this game on PC back in 2018. That is a ridiculous task for a casual gamer to…
-
It's just mere numbers. As 4 survivors have the fourfold chance of a sole killer to get these map offerings viathe blood web, thus the chance of them spending them (with or without reason) is also four times as high. What else are they going to do with them? Hoard them till Xmas 2025? For what reason?
-
4 exactly identical looking survivors. With the variety of survivor types/characters and cosmetics available, that smells too much of a troll SWF gang.
-
She is one of the most fun killers to play for me. And occasionally the most frustrating. In particular when early in the match BHVR's glorious design decides that the vomit produces mostly "ghost hits", meaning you get all the bell and whistle effects but no actual hit. I more than once lost the will to even attempt…
-
Yeah, maybe we can celebrate the 10th anniveraary when they finally did improve the matchmaking? Considering I took a break in 2018 and just came back this year... and the matchmaking is still as atrocious as it used to be...
-
In theory yes. In practice Kindred only works its magic, so to speak, if these other 3 Muppets you get randomly assigned as fellow survivors look at the auras shown and notice what is going on. And act accordingly. Experience shows the majority in (my) solo-queue don't.
-
Says a lot about the company that they can't be bothered to fix it after such a long time still. And for me it kills any incentive to get any new killer for the time being. After I pretty much got shafted for being dumb enough getting Plague.
-
I don't doubt CM. Winter does well with Pig, but in what way is that relevant for the rest of the community / player base? It is hardly sufficient for a killer to work for the "top 5%" of players and not really for the rest. What about that rest? On the odd chance they might want to play Pig occasionally as well?…
-
The too heavily RNG-based concept of pig is an issue. After all, the RBTs are a basic power/mechanism for her. How would everybody think it balanced, if any other killer's "power" would be changed to become this purely RNG-based? Let's say, for example, huntress' throwing hatchets having a merely RNG-based chance to hit at…
-
Machmaking has been an issue for like ages. Even back in 2017/18 it was anything but stellar. Considering how little it has improved since then... go figure...
-
You could ask BHVR to release data about the frequency of played killers. Not sure they'd do it, but apparently they like assembling their data, so they should have some numbers.
-
Because BHVR profits from the toxic environment their game creates. And thus foster the toxicity best as they can. In other multi-player games you get banned for purposeful griefing. In DbD you get a pat on the head for it (in terms of BP).
-
Day before yesterday, 4 times Hawkins Lab followed by 3 times Coldwind Farm. Guess they really wanted me to learn those maps well. 😉
-
You can't expect every killer to be like Plague, where you can first throw a coin, if your vomit attack wants to hit today or rather not. And then wonder if it did actually register or only play the hit animation/effects to troll you.
-
I'd like to distinguish between intentional and unintentional tunneling. The latter might be due to the killer simply not having found an attractive different target (if any) And at least wants to get a hook for the time up e has spent. That could feel like tunneling for the pursued, but might not be it. The former is…
-
This. Efff the BPs if the annoyance and/or frustration becomes too big. Apparently not all care about a purely virtual currency enough to endure more of what made them quit. And whatever some potential chestbeater is now going to claim, no, you can't force people to continue playing if they absolutely don't want to. Not…
-
Absolutely, it's more an ironic footnote aimed at all those who expected/claimed the reinstated penalty would fix DCs like a fairy waving a magical Wand. I personally expect player-induced DCs still occurring, just maybe a bit less frequently.
