Get distortion and calm spirit, problem solved.
-
Let us compare her to a similar teleporting killer - Freddy. Freddy: 1) Can teleport to unfinished generators, fewer as the match goes on. reasonable cooldown. 2) Has in chase slowdown. Sadako: 1) Can teleport to any TV that has not been used recently. Short cooldown. 2) Can control terror radius. 3) Continuos corruption…

I dont understand this debate. Include an in game comms system like alot of other games and then balance with the assumption that all survivors are communicating. The counter i hear is "i dont want to be forced to talk to my teammates..." well you pay the price for hurting your team. Period, end of subject.
-
Distortion??? It is widely used these days and very effective.
-
I agree with everything mentioned here and I have been a myers main since starting dbd. I also play about 50% survivor side. I would suggest reworking the mori addons so that they do NOT involve insta-killing survivors and then buffing, perhaps, some items from this list: lunge length/stun time/vault speed/blind…
-
The problem is certainly more complicated than just bad survivor players. I would estimate at least half the time the problem is the information differential between swf and solo. Please include VC, those that don't want to use VC will either adapt or continue to suffer and complain.
-
What percentage of folks would be unable to benefit from this? Is your argument that we should not use something because it will not benefit everyone? Thats not the way the real world solves problems my friend.
-
Under what circumstances would someone be unable to use voice comms? And what percentage of people would be unable to benefit from voice? You can't fix the game for everyone, period. But you can help most people.
-
I dont get the issue. It's simple... add voice comms and balance the game around the assumption that survivors are communicating. Either folks decide to use it or continue with self inflicted punishment by getting steamrolled by killers.
-
You people don't read patch notes. If you don't like aura reading as a survivor put on the new, considerably buffed Distortion. With Distortion, even if a killer runs lethal pursuer, bbq, floods of rage, and im all ears, they will rarely see your aura-as long as they have a decent sized terror radius. Tokens build up…
-
Com'on man, have you not read up on the latest patch, Use Distortion. I love it. It now heavily counters ALL killer aura reading perks. I love it when killers bring builds like: Lethal Persuer, BBQ, Floods of Rage, and I'm all Ears. If the killer has a 32 m terror radius, you are regularly building tokens of Distortion.
-
Well said, I agree with this 100%.
-
As a player that prefers to play killer, I see things are a bit more nuanced. Previously survivors were entitled to make several mistakes and still perform well. Now survivor and killer both feel stressful to me because survivors now work gens as if their lives depend on it, but one moderate mistake and there is a high…

I agree that solo needs something (probably not what the post creator says), as a killer main who likes to play solo survivor, solo queues are deeply in trouble. When i play killer, I can utterly destroy a solo team, while SWF's still have a great deal of strength. My suggestion, which is not new, is to add voice comms to…
-
Yes, my experience has been the same. Having played both killer and survivor and being decent at both, I feel that solo queue is suffering tremendously from these changes - even though I like many of them. SWF on the other hand, from my killer perspective, has somehow been strengthened. The only explanation i can come up…
-
Do we really know that? Or have people been conditioned to play that way by the way people have played in the past? I have found that I regularly end up in matches were everyone ends up on death hook and I have not been hooked at all. As a result I end up changing my build to include chasing perks so that I can share some…
-
I disagree. The whole reason I started playing dbd was I was looking for a horror based stealth game.
-
It recharges during chase and in the terror radius. It is nearly always available. Very strong perk against aura reading killers.
-
Hate to break it to you Dead_Harder but the new distortion can nullify all of those perks and very effectly i might add...
-
Interesting.
-
As a player who prefers to play killer i agree with the post above. It is a good thing that the stress level of survivor has increased. Every time I've played killer over the past years, I have found that I was stressed out very often. If survivors have time to teabag and goof off, then there is no anxiety in their match…
-
I disagree, but ok.
-
Forget about them, they are gone.
-
Not sure if anyone has made this suggestion but here is a quick idea: Split current Dead Hard into 2 perks, Perk 1: 0.5 second immunity activated like current Dead Hard. Perk 2: short speed burst like current Dead Hard. Each should be an Exhaustion Perk. Just a thought.
-
Same problem here. This occurred, I believe, after a boon totem/healing crash.
-
I can confirm this. On various maps, I can be standing right in front of a window or down palette (right up against it) and not get the prompt to vault (and of course unable to vault)
-
Absolutely, behavior should make that happen!
-
You might miss them when survivor queues are 10+ minutes.
-
I appreciate the feedback folks. Also, I agree that using in game resources is not toxic and does not justify nasty treatment. On a related note I've seen some of these memes about "The Survivor Rulebook for Killers" or something like that. Those are funny but so true. "Killers should never camp survivors under any…
-
I run surge and pop together because I hate the rng involved in hex perks. I would rather not run 2 gen slowing perks but find that I have no choice because of gen speeds. I'm thinking of going ruin/undying with pop and tinkerer (Use pop if ruin goes down).
-
Hmm, good question. It took me about 6 weeks of regularly, almost daily gameplay as killer to get to red ranks (rank 1-4) from my very first attempt at killer. What helped me? YouTube. I recommend Otzdarva and Tru3Talent. You can learn a lot from these two guys. Good luck, you'll get better but it will get more…
-
Fairly sure I was playing swf on comms yesturday afternoon. I had just reached rank 1 killer for the first time ever, with a total of 600 hours in game with more than 400 hours on survivor. After I managed to death hook one of them, the other three got out. The only comment in chat was "i can see why you can't stay rank 1…
-
Lots of multi-player games have in game comms. Ie battlefield series. Put in an option to turn it off for those that want game immersion. Balance killers around the inclusion of comms. This will end the swf debate.
-
Nice, I like that, but hard core survivors will then just use discord.
-
This is a possible solution. I would advocate for instituting in-game comms for survivors, then balance killers around the assumption that everyone is on comms.
-
The easy fix for SWF on comms is to implement an in-game comms and balance killers around the assumption that comms are always being used.
-
There we have it from a solo survivor. Thank you for you input. As a roughly 100 hour rank 3-5 Myers, i find this perk destroys by game most of the time. chasing the OoO completely wipes out gen pressure and when I am not chasing OoO, they are calling out intel, so i go to a gen to find it abandoned with no scratch marks.…
-
Implement in game comm system then balance killers around the assumption that in game comms are being used by all survivors. Period. Problem solved. End of subject.
-
Agreed I love the myers design but he needs some kind of buff at higher ranks.
-
I'm seriously thinking of putting the game away too. I play killer and survivor 50/50. I would play killer more often but the killer experience is so nasty and toxic from survivors. I make it a point to play nicely as survivor because killers have it much harder. It's no wonder queues for survivors is long. It is going to…
-
Agreed with Oni being better in every way. I main Myers because I've been a huge Halloween fan since I was a kid. With that in mind Myers needs a significant buff. I hope it comes soon. Do we have any confirmed developer comments of upcoming killer changes?
-
integrated voice comms then give killer additional perk.
-
Integrated voice comms and rebalance killers around this.
-
I play killer and survivor. As a survivor who solos about 50% of my survivor time, I believe the devs should go ahead and include a proximity based in-game voice chat and give killers some kind of general buff to offset.
-
it could have been a bug. I was personally in a match with a friend, whom I can confidently say was not cheating. He was hit by the killer and was somehow given a roughly 2 minute speed buff, we were both surprised, but i do think it was a bug. The killer was Hag.
-
Can we be a little more clear on what this red light is? I'm not on the ptb. Where does it appear? My perspective having played both killer and survivor (mostly survivor): the strategy of 20%ing one or both gates then waiting for a patrolling killer to walk away from one gate roughly garrantees escape for a lone survivor.…
-
Thank you for the guidance. Apparently I wasn't holding the button down long enough. I apologize for the wasted bug report.
