It's too early to really have a feel yet, but...
All of these changes seem like massive wins, overall! A few points of concern: I think the medkit and CoH nerfs are pretty fantastic! I think the differences between the tiers of medkits are so little that it makes them practically all the same, which is quite boring, but maybe also not a bad thing since getting any rarity…

The rework to Background Player is genius
Feedback leans negative for obvious reasons, so I just wanted to say that this rework is freaking brilliant. Originally I wasn't going to be getting any of the characters with this chapter, but now I will be getting Renato. It'd be nice to see most of the other perks get some minor buffs as well, I will say.

Matchmaking Incentives (Glitched or Broken?)
My partner and I live in the same apartment. At the moment, I see +50% bloodpoints gains for survivors. They see +100% bloodpoints for killer. Just wanted to share because that's pretty hilarious.

What do you guys think about "The Perk Process Explained?"
I just read it because perks are always one of the most interesting factors of gameplay for me, and I was particularly interested in this part: "When you’re in that situation, you use the elements I mentioned before: does it have good synergy? Is it good by itself? Is it thematic? Does it allow for interesting gameplay…

Rather BHVR stick to individual character styles, or have more outfit styles per character?
Personally, I find it rather annoying how, imo, certain characters (mostly survivors) get multiple really good cosmetics, and others repeatedly get the same cosmetics that are lame and interchangeable. For instance, imo, Kate, Mikaela, and Feng, all get amazing cosmetics one after another, while Meg gets boring track stuff…

The Consequences of No Second Chance Perks in Endgame
We all know that Decisive Strike won't work in the endgame anymore, and it seems likely that Off The Record will be changed to not work in endgame either, but is everyone aware and approving of the consequences of that? Genuinely asking, not implying it's good or bad. Right now, survivors really like to go for the save…

Med-Kit Nerfs/Changes Suggestions
My thoughts for how med-kits could be nerfed/changed. All items and add-ons covered. If something is not specified, it is unchanged. Med-Kits Camping Aid Kit - +50% altruistic healing speed, -35% self-healing speed. First Aid Kit - 16 charges, +75% altruistic healing speed. Emergency Med-Kit - +100% altruistic healing…

Devs, are the 39 perk adjustments the only ones we will get this year?
Topic. Just wondering if other perks might see adjustments later on. I'd still love to see perks like Solidarity and Poised matter. It just hurts to hope for perk adjustments in patches that have none at all, so if this is it for the year, it'd be lovely to not feel disappointed later.

The Dredge is the best killer you've made since Blight
No suggestions (except to not nerf him), he's extremely fun to play, and no bad meme addons. He's got map presence, scare factor, anti-loop, and mindgames. And Nightfall is incredibly fun to play during. This killer is a resounding success to me so far. Great job on this one, BHVR!

NVM, NOT A BUG. PC - Crash when spectating Cybil Bennett (or Ormond, or Pyramid Head)
WHAT TO ADD IN THE DESCRIPTION Example Step 1 : boot the game Step 2 : Play as survivor Step 3 : Click on spectate, then crash (possibly only if spectating Cybil). Step 4 : Notice the game crashes after spectating Cybil. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It happened for both me and my friend in the same match. Both crashed when…

Multiple options for Frank's Mix Tape buff/rework
Currently, Frank's Mix Tape wants you as Legion to use Feral Frenzy to not chase survivors directly, and this is just a bad idea, even if you build around the addon. Here are some ways to either change the playstyle of the addon, or make it a more viable tactic. Double the numbers on both current effects: 40% faster gen…

The secret (not great) usage behind the new Frank's Mixtape
If you're like me, you don't get the point of this add-on beyond meme builds, because it doesn't do anything amazing and it doesn't combo with any other addon in any obvious way. Well, there is a small benefit I never realized. If people are already playing against Legion badly and mending before you are out of your power,…

You ever just have a perfect night of DBD?
Most of us know that feeling of "chasing a good match" that makes this game addictive, but I just had 3 very fun games in a row. A Trickster that never tunneled and played well who I died for, a Triangle Head that actually used their power rather than faking all the time, and a really ######### good Hillbilly that destroyed…

Cooperative Healthcare (abysmal challenge)
"Heal a total of 4 health states while cooperating with other survivors." This challenge requires either a lot of luck or a lot of patience or a lot of game throwing. Not only that, it doesn't inspire a unique build because there are no perks that really help this challenge get done. It should not appear again. Thanks for…

Can Boil Over get another slight buff? Here's my suggestion.
Right now it's just a bit too weak to really be usable. It had 3 problems with it's buffed form: No viable hooks in problem areas. It triggered on too small a fall. It could be triggered twice during one carry (This was mostly a problem because of 1). New Boil Over has a 2 major problems: It basically requires Flip Flop to…

Complete 5.5.0 Patch Feedback
General Changes The hit validation fix has been awesome. I've not noticed a single bad feedback hit since the patch went live. A very feel good change. The toggle function and Run To Cancel options have been life changing for me as someone with RSI in my hands. Thank you so much! However, this option probably shouldn't…

Blast Mine Buff (to near-meta)
Allow it to be used on dropped pallets and breakable walls. It'd be near useless against certain killers, but it would actually be a decent perk worth bringing, and more fun than it currently is. If coded right, it could make for a REALLY fun combo with Any Means Necessary.

Players, please make sure you aren't overreacting to perk buffs.
As someone who's secondary complaint about this game is how many borderline unusable perks there are in the game, it's frustrating to see the player base react poorly to terrible perks being given a viable use. There are cases where perks are genuinely too strong, but you can tell what perks these are because they start to…

Secret chest in Midwich contains nothing
PC - As title says. The compartment that opens in the middle of the match after certain generators are done contained nothing. Both when it was first opened, and when it was Appraised/Rummaged. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Character played - Ace Perks played - Ace in the Hole, Plunderer's Instinct, Pharmacy, Appraisal Map -…

Would you like a survivor perk that *at least partially* counters the Exposed status effect?
With the rise of Wraith, Undying + Devour Hope, and Starstruck, would you be interested in a perk that is meant to address these in any way? Assuming it's 'balanced,' it seems like a great time to introduce or rework a perk that deals with being Exposed. It feels like an empty space right now in a world of redundant perks.…

If all three of these were the same perk, would you use it?
Hangman's Trick, Mad Grit, and Forced Penance. If these were all worked into the same perk, how likely would you be to use that perk instead of others on matches as killer where you were trying your hardest to get a 3/4K?

I believe this game has caused me to develop Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or something similar.
This is partially or even mostly my fault for rebinding it to middle mouse scrolling (like many people suggested) and not realizing the damage it was doing until it was too late, but I believe the second-hook struggle mechanic caused or severely sped up me developing problems in my hands. It may be too late for me, but I'm…

This game can never be what some of us want
Earlier in the development cycle of this game, there was a decision that problematic gameplay elements would be solved with perks, rather than the more intensive work of solving problems with the base game mechanics. Additionally, the devs have made it clear that they don't want previously released perks to become…

How you and 2 friends can make yourselves nigh invincible to the killer

3 Perk Ideas for each side
Survivor - Batten Down: You know how to keep yourself and others safe when it counts. Press the *Active Ability* button for 4 seconds while standing beside a breakable wall to reinforce it. That wall must now be destroyed twice before it will break. *Batten Down* has a cooldown of 60 seconds. *"We have to keep that thing…

New Slippery Meat Percentages or Chances Info (AKA luck stats)
Provided for the community's information/reference, assuming I did my math right: All %s are the chance that you will unhook yourself at some point if you attempt all 6 possible escapes. All percentages are rounded to the nearest single digit. Slippery Meat on it's own: 39% Slippery Meat + Ivory Chalk Pouch (additional 3%…

An Effort to Balance All Perks More Closely
This is gonna be a long one. You're gonna wanna open the Perks page of the Official Dead by Daylight Wiki for this. Some perks are just going to have to be somewhat better than other perks by their nature. I'm open to suggestions, so if you think I miscalculated on a perk, voice that opinion below! SURVIVORS Ace in the…
