VPN Players are killing this game.
Not sure what percentage of people that use these forums played back in 2019/2020, but a strategy that was commonly used was 'lag-switching'. For anyone that doesn't know what that is, its when you purposely play when your internet is unstable, or use a VPN (which can make your connection to servers unsecure). If memory…

Toxicity within new event
Why are people being toxic during this event? Wanted to do a game session with my friends, we are not toxic or anything.. But are getting super try-hardy killers that are being bad sports about the snowmen, and slugging at 5 gens.. No chance to explore or have fun with the event whatsoever. I'm not making this a killer vs…

Aggressively playing Anti-Gen builds with no intention of downing
Is throwing the game and holding it hostage. Please stop it. I've had 3 games today where killers ran oppressive anti-gen perks and camped a three gen with absolutely no desire to secure any downs (two survivors were dead on hook, and at times injured trying to fix the gens).
-
No one is talking about the new trailer?
Did people miss it or did they not like it? IM seeing little to no discussion about this.
-
Tome Conspiracy?
Not sure if anyone has experienced this, or if it is just my luck for over a year. Whenever I equip a specific challenge, if it's something to do with healing, stunning or whatever - I get killers that kinda directly counter that challenge. Yesterday night, I equipped a stunning challenge and got Nurse, Spirit, Huntress…

Can we stop weaponising the community? (flashlight changes)
This isn't the first time. Don't get me wrong, I don't care for the flashlight changes, I use them too infrequently to be too impacted. But can we stop using people as an excuse to nerf things in the game? If you want to nerf flashlights whether to prevent BM or to just nerf it, just say it. Don't give a lame excuse about…
-
The Flashlight change's reasoning shows the glaring issue of willful ignorance and PR stunting.
Just a disclaimer: I am not against the flashlight change of itself, I don't care for it and I am happy for it to be implemented. For anyone out of the loop: The developers have randomly decided to add into the PTB flashlight changes, that disallow flickering the flashlight really quickly as there is now almost a…

Can we get a city map?
I was hoping that we would've gotten it with the release of Yui/Oni Chapter. Yui's theme was far more advertised, than the traditional/temple-esque and I was honestly under the impression that we would've gotten a city-theme map, even the camp was city based. My second time hoping for it was the Yunjin/Trickster chapter,…

Killer toxicity is through the roof - Why are you not fixing the problems?
I am, by no means one of the best survivor players, I'd like to say I am above average though. When the big update came, I was largely unaffected as the only 'META' perk I used was BT, cool. But with all the favourable changes to killer, the game has become so lopsided, that I lose my appetite to finish my games nowadays.…

Unbreakable base-kit won't destroy the game.
If you are to ask for my honest opinion, I think this patch (If it is to go through to Public Servers) is a form of in-game penalty. The same way that DH was a crutch that allowed Survivors to greed a loop/pallet/window, the same way that Hatch was. This change will disallow players the opportunity to hold hostage a game…

Streamer Mode is making reporting hackers more difficult
I get the intention, really, I do but I just don't agree. Had a few games, and ran into 2 different cheaters, both of which were using Streamer Mode, and since Streamer Mode protects the user even in end-game, making them harder to report than necessary. I know there is a way to go around and find the person, but…

Wesker is free MMR
I understand that Wesker is still relatively new to the game, and that because of that, the chances of seeing him are tremendously increased. But it just seems like he’s easy MMR. Most of the Weskers I run into, absolutely struggle with his dash, one would literally wait to get face to face with me before using it (just…

My thoughts as a survivor on the patch.
Hiya! Before i get into the nitty and gritty, or anything particularly serious about this patch. I do want to give a little disclaimer: I am not someone who ever used or relied on Deadhard (Unless for a challenge), Decisive Strike, Spine chill, Self-Care, Iron Will. The reason I am stating is, is to establish that I felt…

Am i the only one that thinks the hooks are too close?
Sometimes even whilst hitting the great skill checks, you barely reach half way on the wiggling meter. The only times that I've genuinely wiggled off without interruptions (eg, flashlight, stun, bodyblocking) is if the killer is being silly with where they are going, or being OVERLY greedy. Feel like especially with the…

I doubt we will get through the first two community challenges
I've played potentially about 15 or 20 games since the event has started, and hardly seen killers kicking generators, experienced significant increase in tunnelling. I wish this community worked together on these challenges
-
Why do some of the anniversary challenges literally want you to mess up your chase?
Hide within a killer radius whilst injured, get hit from healthy to injured mid vault, break walls WHILST in chase (has to be completed in a singular trial), get stunned and down a survivor 30 seconds after being stunned. Why are we encouraging people to play poorly for a challenge?

Do better BHVR - The Baba Yaga skin
Watching this skin get released is sad. As an Eastern European (Who lives OUTSIDE of Russia), I feel heavily conflicted about the Baba Yaga skin. It makes me happy to see a bit of acknowledgement towards Slavic folklore, as Baba Yaga had some significance to me, especially with my parents warning me to behave or they'll…

Survivors need more physical resources in a match
The last four killers that have been released, have all had a focus on anti-looping and range. The two killers before Twins also have anti-looping and range. But with each release, the powers are tweaked a little, to give some glitz and glam, but it's copy and paste. Playing against most of these killers is either…

Bring back the older system
SBMM is so terrible. Back to back, face-camping, tunnelling, noed and etc.. With the old system, killers were at least discouraged somewhat as you got a penalty for face camping, and it affected the 'ranking', what we have now is just awful.
-
Opinions on the new map?
Personally, i feel like the map is awful from both sides of the spectrum
-
As a survivor main - SBMM is concerning
Before anyone says anything - I am exclusively looking at it from a survivor side due to me largely being a survivor main rather than a killer main - no other reason. Out of everything that could've been tested, I think they have possibly gone the worst route that they could've. I've watched videos from other creators,…

BHVR, DBD and Representation
So, for anyone that still doesn't know, BHVR tweeted out about LGBT representation in their game, how in the past they stood with the stance of sexuality being determined by the player - but with the recent addition of tomes and focus on lore - they had shifted towards heterosexuality when it came to their characters - and…

Not to burst the bubble...
But as someone who spends more time playing on console.. cross-play?? Graphics update?? really? When we still have issues with the game randomly freezing/stuttering can we get the basics fixed before adding in more problems to the game?
-
All i learned from this forum is:
Most killers manage to sustain 2k-4k games yet find something to complain about because the game is so unfair to them! ive also been recording my games, perks and etc, and out of the 20 that I played so far, only two games have been 0k-1k. whenever I click on threads, it’s literally killer mains showing off their games…

People complaining about killers..
I’ve seen arguments about iridescent head, NOED, Moris... but why is no one talking about the two ultra rare addons for Myers? One gives him tier 3 infinitely, and the other allows him to instantly Mori healthy/injured survivors - the only counter being vaulting/lockers to make him swing. am I the only one that thinks his…
-
So why do some players feel the need to do this?
We were playing against a rank 1 Ghostface, who put on Meat Plant, using NOED, Brutal Strength, POP and BBQ. Who was also camping and tunnelling. Why would anyone even play like this?
-
Name one time you clearly annoyed a survivor/killer
Me and my boyfriend were duo queuing and we loaded into this game. We were up against a spirit. The game went quite well, but the spirit was terrible at doing chases, getting hits and etc. For 4 gens, she didn’t down anybody. Me and my boyfriend always note this behaviour as a “NOED alert” where the killer is relying on…

Why are killers allowed to take the game hostage but survivors aren't?
So, with the new patch, survivors can no longer take the game hostage by struggling on hook (Also denying the last survivor/s from their struggle points). Another way that survivors have been denied of taking the game hostage is by having a timer on when gates open. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of denying people…

Grinding is killing this game faster than anything.
This game is just not player-friendly. This game, at it's core value costs £30 on the PS4 store (Forces you to buy the deluxe edition), and on steam it costs £15 (normal), £23 (deluxe). You'd think that considering the pricing and how on some platforms it forces you to purchase the expensive iteration, that you'd get…

Some fundamental issues regarding the game
Killer v Killer Balance: Now, I'm not talking about the general game balancing but the way that killers have been changed/modeled. As a player, it is entirely up to you to pick which killer you want to pick up and play. Some killers, in this regard, are very easy to pick up and get value out of in your games. Other killers…

Has a killer ever left you in awe over their gameplay?
In the last two days, I've had two games where the killer has left me in awe at their playstyle and control over the map/match. Both of them were rank 1. The first one was Oni, running infectious fright, corrupt intervention, B&C and another perk that I don't remember. We only managed to pump out two generators throughout…

Are huntresses suddenly boosted?
I don't know if it's just my experience currently, but there's been an increase in Huntress players and all of them seem incapable of playing Huntress. Just to give some perspective, we were on lampkin lane, and the whole survivor team except one was standing on this 'balcony' platform in one of the houses. This balcony…

Overrated meta perk?
personally: Deadhard - I wouldn’t even argue that it’s a true exhaustion perk, I mean why use it when you can have perks that take you further by 3x more the distance? It’s currently also still glitchy and faulty at times where it doesn’t work properly. I’ve only ever seen deadhard being used to temporarily create distance…

Keys and Moris are not comparable.
I often see Killer Mains make the argument of, “if survivors can have keys! Then killers can have Moris!” but those two aren’t comparable like at all. Killing survivors is the killers objective - that is a fact, as killer, you’re hoping to kill all the survivors in the game. As survivor, your objective is to do gens. Keys…
-
Gen-Rushing isn't a problem, your playstyle is.
As a killer, you're the boss of the match (or meant to be), you have to figure out what type of survivors you're going to go up against, altruism freaks? blendettes? swf? the ghost survivors that you never find until end game? or the separate but together team? Truth be told - Most SWF lobbies won't communicate for…

Wishing that Developers did monthly releases on statistics..
I really want to see how the patterns within the game have changed with each stat release, and having one from 6/7 months ago isn't as useful because things have changed and things have been added/removed since then. I want to see how different killers are performing, what maps are falling in/out of season, what the…

Remove speed from NOED
Survivors in their default run can't outrun any killer - killers are faster and get faster if they become bloodlusted. The effect of haste only creates distance, isn't permanent and has an after-effect which requires for the survivor to stop running to even wear-off the survivor. Wouldn't it be ridiculous if Adrenalin gave…

Devs, you messed something up
I’ve witnessed and experienced an increase of situations where you get stuck on vaults, gens or even pallets. ive just had a game where this Nancy threw the pallet on the trapper and he glitched above it and was stuck for the entirety of the game up there - all he could do was hit us if we were vaulting the pallet but even…
-
Anyone else notice this?
in all my games since the update when the killer has NOED, the NOED spawns in the totem closest to the gate/s? I don’t know if this was just a random coincidence or what lol
-
Anyone else really hate the new map changes,
They feel super small and some maps feel like they’re entirely a dead zone lol also if I get Macmillan one more time today, I swear to god, it’s like my game is stuck on choosing that map today
-
Devs, fix this quickly!!
I’ve seen people mention this, and my boyfriend had shown me a glitch caused by the new patch, In endgame (being last survivor) - if you do an action such as vaulting, you can run into a glitch where your character gets stuck on the action and you have to wait for the killer to come and pick you up. please fix this - I…

So maps are becoming like Meat Plant?
I just want to get this straight... Meat Plant, easily one of the most killer-sided maps that is possibly most hated and complained about because of: How ridiculously small the map is where 80% of the game is spent in killer’s terror radius and not knowing if the killer is on the same floor as you. There are essentially no…
