Yeah it gives them a massive advantage. A massive advantage the game isn't designed for. And at red ranks every other game you play the survivors have that advantage. Since they can't stop people from using discord, they have to give all survivors coms, and then buff killers to be able to deal with it. Otherwise we're…

Honestly, the killer cosmetics kinda suck. I’ve spent a lot of money on video games in the past and would do it with this one too. But Hilbilly? I don’t want to be a park ranger with fireworks on my back. Legion? Wow a different color hoodie. Demo? Chains lmao. Nurse? Another 1800s outfit. Give us cool skins and I’ll pay…
-
OP its my understanding the average skill level on console is significantly lower than that on PC. I mean I'm a rank 1 killer on console too and I don't remember the last time I didn't 3/4k, but I don't see all that many SWF death squads or survivors who know how to loop every tile.
-
They're aware of the issue, they're not going to fix it. Hopefully the new elo system will have this type of survivor only going against the best killers, but unfortunately I don't have faith that elo will be much more accurate than rank. The crux of the problem is that every killer except nurse and spirit rely on…

Yes, the help a lot for everyone who doesn't regurlarly DC.

Solution: Ebony Mori
-
As far as I'm aware, yes, they do stack.
-
They shouldn't be punished for playing with their friends. The game should be designed in such a way that minimizes the impact of playing with friends in a reasonable way. If survivors want to practice with their friends and come up with strats and stuff, I'm all for that. But the vast majority of SWF don't, and its not in…
-
If they dare touch billy I will make it my life goal to make every game absolutely miserable for every single survivor
-
Learn how to loop and no one will tunnel u baby surv
-
I have said it a million times. The only solution to fixing SWF is to give everyone coms and buff killers accordingly. Devs refuse to do this and idk why.
-
I don't follow any rules beyond those of the game. I don't go out of my way to ruin someone's game, but I try to make the best choice possible to win. That usually means tunneling but not camping. Lets be honest though, it's not like survivors are restricting their gameplay based on the killer's fun. In fact I expect them…
-
He is literally one of the most balanced killers. Everything he does has counterplay. If mean at this point we already know they're ruining high level competitive play for money, but if they touch billy its confirmed.
-
The importance of tunneling has skyrocketed since the ruin nerf. If you're applying appropriate pressure as killer, 3 survivors do generators literally half as fast as 4 survivors. So getting that first person out of the game is huge. I can tell you personally I've incorporated tunneling into my playstyle much more since…
-
I think he needs some form of buff- various streamers have suggested plenty of good changes. I think for him to be playable in his current state one needs to make use of the fact that he can instadown exposed survivors with his power. This is one of the only advantages he has over huntress. So make your choice, noed, etc.
-
The fix is very easy and is the same fix every other game uses: give everyone coms, and balance around that. But the devs are too lazy to rebalance killer and don't want to have to deal with survivors whining about the buffs, so it's never gonna happen and they're gonna keep insisting coms don't give SWF a massive…
-
I agree with OP. It's not about fun, it's about completing the objective.
-
While normally I despise justice warrior characters in video games, in a game where I'm a killer I don't mind too much 😂
-
Obviously I would prefer to have everything transferred. But I got the game on console and have invested a huge amount of time, and I want more than anything to switch to computer. I would be perfectly happy to buy everything again if I could just not have to grind the tens of millions of bloodpoints. DO YOU HEAR THAT…
-
The point? Because for most (non-toxic) players it ruins the game for everyone when you DC. Survivors most certainly lose, killer probably won't pip. It becomes pointless. So, DC penalties exist to prevent people (like you) who frequently leave from ruining the game for others.
-
Definitely not impossible. Maybe a bit slower than other platforms. The main thing about switch right now is the average skill level is significantly lower than PC and other consoles, so it's really easy to rank up on both sides. Although that's definitely starting to change.
-
I was red rank on killer before reset, purple now, queues are instant. I haven't played survivor much since ruin nerf, but I was red rank before that and queues were usually 5 minutes at popular times of day. Probably worse now.
-
Yeah I was gonna say. I almost wonder if the person is intentionally trying to sow discord.
-
No it's very alive, I play all the time. It's usually dead between around 4am-10am PST for me. Might depend on where you live.
-
These hit post make me so angry lol. EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT YOU'RE DOING Stop being whiny and get good.
-
Keep in mind that basic attack perks work with his power. That in itself is a big advantage over huntress.
-
Just stop asking for nerfs. Please. It's so annoying and makes you sound entitled.
-
Ways to counter? Give all lobbies coms, and balance around that. Give killers a progressive buff based on the # of SWF in the lobby. There's lots of different options, they're just not going to do any because of whiny survs.
-
I feel like they're just recycling the old killers and slightly changing mechanics, but changing them in a way that makes the killer weaker. Oni is literally Billy but worse. Deathslinger is literally huntress but worse.
-
This is obviously bait guys. He's saying he's new because devs have emphasized they want to improve the experience for new players.
-
I think most killers don't necessarily think survivors are OP more than they think killers are currently underpowered. The recent nerfs have just made the killer experience horrible, and people are mad. Go back say 6 months or so and it was much more even on both sides. Killers are asking for nerfs in retaliation for…
-
First of all, killers objective is to kill all 4 survivors. It is 100% okay to slug for 4k if the killer is so inclined. And are you really that entitled that you think someone making you wait 4 minutes should be bannable? Sure its a dick move, and the killer loses points for it. But its 4 minutes. Grow up.
-
They would make sooo much money if they did. I bet at least half the playerbase would buy the game again on a different system.
-
Trust me, if you disconnect frequently everyone is glad you're gone.
-
The Brute
-
It's interesting because the meta is changing to find new ways to slow the game without old ruin. In addition to what others have said, I would add infectious fright is very 'meta' right now to help slugging. Discordance and surveillance are popular, with and without ruin. Surge and pop are popular on non-ruin builds.
-
The fact you think they buffed ruin tells us all we need to know about your biases
-
Switch is just really poor hardware. Even games like skyrim and doom that came out quite a while ago have to tone things down alot. But the advantage is portability and price.
-
What are you talking about? Every serious online game has much, much more severe DC penalties. In CSGO you DC once you're banned for half an hour, 4 DCs and you're banned for a week. League of legends does shorter bans more on the scale of DBD (but still longer), but you lose an increasing number of rank points and can get…
-
Before ruin nerf I tried not to tunnel because 'ethics'. Now I do it whenever it's the best move because I'm pissed. That said, there are a lot of times where it isn't the best move.
-
I've always hated arguments like this. No one cares that you can't afford better internet, and no one is shaming you. But here are the facts: (1) When you DC you ruin the game for everyone else. (2) You're not taking the necessary steps to stop DCing. Your ability to play the game while being unwilling to invest in the…
-
If its licensed its gotta be pinhead right? Can't think of any other chain killers
-
I honestly thought it would be a lot worse without ruin, although it's definitely different. I usually at least 3k against red rank solo q but where it seems to really hurt is red rank swf. Haven't had a good game against a coordinated team in a while.
-
Okay, as killer, as soon as you know a person has a key why would you not kill them? There's literally no good reason not to. Especially if they're SWF, they can end the game as soon as hatch spawns. That's why they make the keys look so discrete- to work they need to be a stealth play. And honestly, there's lots of ways…
-
Every time I've watched him he's playing in like green ranks. Maybe I just dont watch him enough though
-
I'm killer main and as soon as I know someone has a key I make sure they're dead before hatch spawns. I'm all for nerfing survivors but this doesn't seem fair and basically hard counters keys. Personally I like the game-changing mori/key dynamic.
-
They do play but have you watched them? Even the 'good' ones kinda suck. It's like that in a lot of multiplayer games but usually they listen to their best players about the direction the game needs to go. Instead, BHVR has decided they want to make their game 'fun' instead of 'competitive', so they actually take their own…
-
Dude are you just really bad? If you can't figure out how to counter him, watch OhTofu's guide. Yes, Billy is one of the better killers, but he's very balanced. The things 'most' Billys do are pretty easy to counter. If he's revving his chainsaw at every pallet, punish him and loop it again before throwing. If not, force…
-
I really like the idea for the new hidden elo system, but there needs to be a way to have at least a general idea of the skill level you're at/playing against.
-
I just truly don't get it. The obvious (and only) solution is to add coms for everyone and balance around that. Currently, the game is clearly not designed for survivors to be able to communicate, and when they can they're overpowered. Benefits of adding coms: -Fewer balance issues -Average survivors get better faster by…
