(Image) If you're here looking for proof that I'm just an entitled killer/survivor main who doesn't really care about balance, here, proof that I do in fact play both sides. :)

  • Quoting directly from my post since you can't read: "Please note: I'm not complaining about killers running meta perks." That said, it's irrelevant anyway because I've uninstalled.
  • But if killers were leaving the game in significant numbers, their queues would surely still be short regardless of SBMM. Low MMR survivors would have extremely long queues if what you're saying is true but I haven't seen anything to suggest that that's the case.
  • Why do you think that I'm upset? I'm not upset, I'll just stop playing the game, it's no skin off my nose. "Do totems" also does nothing to address my issues with solo queue so I'm not sure why you would think that's remotely helpful.
  • Wouldn't long killer queues suggest that the shortage is on the survivor side, not killer?
  • My post was talking about the frustration of playing survivor solo and you started talking about pips, I honestly assumed you were joking. I don't think I know a single person who even notices whether they pip or not after about 100 game hours. I also didn't say anything about winning or losing in my post, my issue isn't…
  • you keep talking about emblems like they actually do anything.
  • But then if killers are nerfed so that uncoordinated teams can win more often, how do you address SWF and the advantages that coordination gives? Because a half decent SWF has a decent advantage over solo queuers and they would win almost all the time, which isn't fair either. I'm not asking for killer nerfs, I think more…
  • I don't main any in particular, I rotate and play most. Used to play a ton of Hag, then a ton of Trapper, at the moment I'm probably playing more Ghostface than anything else. But I try to play all the killers. :)
  • Nah it's cool, this thread got a bit heated for some reason so I was probably just being more defensive than I normally would be. I'm just playing killer now tbh. I don't think the devs will ever do anything about solo queue because it's probably the reason killers even have a kill rate above 50%. If they ever did anything…
  • Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer is multiple slowdown perks. Corrupt/Ruin/Pop is multiple slowdown perks. The Ruin/NOED Spirit was more just for the hilarity factor of a Spirit running Ruin/NOED with Mother-Daughter Ring and Dirty Uwabaki.
  • LMAO okay dude. You’re telling me that if a survivor was running DS/UB/DH and We’re Gonna Live Forever you’d shrug it off because they’re running one perk that isn’t 100% meta? Sure thing.
  • Sounds impressive that you win every match easily as survivor. You should stream and show us your amazing "4 man escape every game" survivor streaks, I know I'd like to see it.
  • The mods and devs can only police what goes on on these forums or within the game. What people say on Reddit, YouTube, their personal Discord server, real life, etc. isn’t for them to monitor. Obviously some things are different, for example I know people have been banned for witch hunting in the past, but as far as I know…
  • I can’t pick your personal build because for all I know you run meme or off-meta builds every match. But in my experience 99% of Huntress players run some combination of the following: Corrupt/Pop or Ruin/Undying BBQ Some random perk that only Huntresses run, like Iron Maiden or Bitter Murmur Every once in a while Blood…
  • I don’t think this is the issue. Solo queue just needs many quality of life improvements.
  • Making friends isn’t the problem. I have friends and most of them have no desire to play DBD. The friends that I do play DBD with aren’t available to play every time I am. I’m a bit bored of people trying to derail the thread by saying “well just play SWF then”. SWF is irrelevant. It isn’t the point. It has nothing to do…
  • I’ve been playing more single player games lately actually! Greedfall and Planet Coaster, and some old classics like Fallout: New Vegas. I’d love to give VHS a go when the beta releases, it looks like it might scratch the DBD itch without having some of the biggest frustrations I have with this game. What’s Pokemon Unite…
  • You can usually tell what the survivors want. If they stand still in front of a hook or point at it or spam some fast vaults near a hook, they want you to kill them so they can move on. If they try to Kobe they want to die so they can move on. If they try to keep playing, they want you to try to keep playing. If they…
  • I've tried but most of the people I've met on the DBD discord were kids, sexist jerks or toxic so I'm not in a rush to try again. If the devs have no desire to do anything about the frustrations of solo queue I would honestly prefer to play either killer, or something else entirely.
  • Same reason killers run meta perks. They extend the match for the person running them and increase their chances of winning.
  • Yeah I think this is the answer for me as well. I enjoy killer and I have people I play with sometimes, but otherwise I think I'll just do something else.
  • Have you ever played with a group from any of those channels? You're lucky if you join a party that isn't either kids or extremely salty people that shout down the mic about the most stupid stuff.
  • Man, the people who don't go for unhooks. I feel that pain. There'll be one healthy, completely unhooked person on the team and two injured, and instead of looking at their HUD and thinking, "oh wait I should probably go for this save because in the worst case scenario I can at least trade" they just decide that committing…
  • It's nice that you would play more chill against non-SWF, but I think you're being naive if you don't think that a lot of players would use the opportunity to go harder instead. Putting on mass blindness or slugging builds against solos for example, or only playing certain killers (e.g. Twins) against solos, or just…
  • If their choice is running meta perks or being tunnelled out of the game as early as possible against a Ruin/Undying/NOED Spirit, then I doubt it.
  • So if I'm climbing MMR, how do I get games like the one in my post where everyone was dead at 5 gens? Why am I getting teammates running meme builds against killers with the strongest possible thing they can run?
  • It really doesn't feel fresh at all to me. Unless you consider guessing whether the killer is running Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer or Corrupt/Pop/Tinkerer to be fun and exciting, which I don't, personally.
  • Because if you don't run DS you get tunnelled straight off hook back to back and don't get to play the game. If you don't run BT the killer can smack someone straight off hook and again, they don't get to play. I think multiple Unbreakables is kind of pointless to be honest but slugging is powerful and there are several…
  • Yeah I mean killers are running way more diverse builds these days, I can predict their build chosen from a pool of 7 perks rather than the 5 that survivors pick from.
  • Right, and every survivor game I play it's the same 5 killer perks over and over again as well. I don't see your point to be honest.
  • Those are just ones from today, and only because I got so fed up that I started taking screenshots, lmao.
  • Right, "just play in a SWF duh" as a solution to the issues with solo queue. You don't see how that might signify that there's a massive balance (and fun) issue here? If one game mode is just superior to the other in every single way, you don't think that might be something that should be addressed by the devs instead of…
  • Yes, I used to main survivor when I started playing way back and I play far more killer these days because killer is actually a fun game experience.
  • I really don’t think that nerfing healing across the board would end the way people want it to. If you nerf healing significantly enough to discourage survivors from doing it then guess what will happen? More and more survivors will start running Adrenaline and just play injured but split up to prevent snowballing. If you…
  • Ghostface players have literally been asking the devs to reduce his basekit power cooldown since he released. They do exactly what the community has been asking them to do for 2+ years and that’s a bad thing? Lol. I was hoping for more and I think they need to change his add ons further in the future but people really do…
  • The ping you see in the lobby is your connection to the server, the killer’s ping is entirely separate and there’s no way to see it. Hits like that are usually down to a connection issue, either on your side or the killer’s. It’s hard to say for definite which caused the problem because you could have had a temporary issue…
  • The change they made only applies to hits after pallet stuns. You can still get hit from miles away at windows, undropped pallets, in the open, etc. because the game uses data from the killer side to determine whether something hit or not with no verification. That’s why some unscrupulous people VPN for an advantage.
  • Can you reread my initial comment please? I didn’t say it has no meaning, I actually said it was rude, immature and intended to be annoying. But that isn’t the same as toxic.
  • Except that there are no ballsacks in DBD and even if there were, they wouldn’t be anywhere near the killer’s mouth because you can’t knock a killer to the ground. The only thing they’re dunking their hypothetical balls into is the grass. Teabagging is only a thing in DBD because it’s one of about 4 things survivors can do…
  • He still streams? I thought he went to prison.
  • I’d rather they just address the grind directly to be honest.
  • Being annoying is not toxic, it’s being annoying. People really weaken the definition of ‘toxic’ with stuff like this. Something toxic is something poisonous and harmful, it’s behaviour that harms others, not just behaviour that annoys. Toxicity is people saying horrible things, people harassing you, etc. Smacking someone…
  • I don’t think people having complaints about the map is “crying”. Some people are excessive with their complaints (as always) but most people seem to have legitimate criticisms about the gameplay of the map, and interestingly those criticisms aren’t just coming from one “side” either.
  • I really hope they rebalance it, because it’s pretty miserable to play for everyone except RE megafans. But considering that Haddonfield has remained the same way for so long, I don’t think they will.
  • You could just answer the OP’s question without making your response about how hard done by killers are. It was a straightforward question, not an invitation to a self-pity party.
  • Trapper, Myers, Plague got considerable buffs, basekit Ghostface, Blight got some fun add ons buffed, and Pig didn’t get nerfed overall she got several buffed add ons. If you used TT/CoG every match before this I suppose that got nerfed but I didn’t think that combo was particularly healthy for the game so I’m glad to see…
  • I play a lot of killer and I like most of the changes from this patch. Anything to shake up the meta and the way people play is good IMO. I’ll be happy to face a team of boon totem warriors just as I’m happy to face a team of flashlight warriors. Either option is more fun than the prospect of a team of gen warriors. Plus,…
  • When you first started playing survivor, were you immediately great at it and winning most of your matches? I doubt it. It’s the same thing here. You can’t expect to win all the time when you first pick something up. You have to learn how to do it. Practice, learn, and you’ll get better and start to win more. Stop caring…
