Does anyone else feel like time-limited events make them way more burnt out?
I don't know what it is, I took a break and came back and have been really enjoying the game. However, since blood moon started shitting out half a prestige level every match, it's like I feel like I SHOULD be playing, which pushes me more and more into the camp of not WANTING to play. Anyone else feel the same?

Please stop making tome challenges that require actively throwing the match.
"Dodge 3 basic attacks" is downright impossible without a killer who is willing to play friendly, or someone who is absolutely garbage at the game. There is no way to get this challenge without actively going for it, and there is no way to go for it without being a liability for your team. It's utterly hypocritical to…

The mechanics of this event are atrocious
Whose idea was it that the only interactive part of the event is doing things inside a tiny circle, but then also making it so those circles are near, at most, one single generator? Also, I really miss the days where events meant EVERYONE got points when an event gen went off.

The changes to mangled/haemorrhage were excessive, the statuses have basically been deleted.
Putting mangled and haemorrhage on a timer has gone beyond reducing their effects, they are now entirely absent from the game outside of playing very specific hit-and-run, which still isn't a brilliant strategy. The bulk of the sources of these debuffs limits them to 60-70 seconds. It sounds nice in theory to have…

Are these meant to be two separate things?
These seem to be saying there are two 1,000,000 bp login rewards, the first to make up for the poor bp gains in a bp centric event, and the second because of issues with the event offering. It even says "EXTRA bonus." I can't speak for anyone else, but I've only received 1 of these, not 2.

The backtrack on Pig nerfs was good, but it's time she gets a real add-on pass.
Some of devs' comments have been along the lines of "we want to shift focus from the RBTs to the ambush." Ok, cool, most Pigs I've seen have been asking for that for roughly 6 years at this point. However, despite add-on passes in the past, countless nerfs, and a handful of buffs, Pig's add-ons are still heavily at odds…

It's been way too long, it's time to unlink outfit pieces that are unnecessarily linked.
No killer weapon should be forcibly linked because their body and head "need" to match. A survivor wearing a dress, or other long coats etc, should not be forced to use the associated head piece. Likewise for legs on a hoodie. We all know that the reason that this wasn't the way from the START of the store: They get more…

I actually like Lights Out. Sue me.
Is the balance perfect? No. Does it need to be? No. It's a silly game mode for a week, not some hyper polished competitive mode. I've had some decent killer games, they were fun. I've had a few survivor games, all of which I've escaped as a solo player, they were fun. I like the experience of sitting on a gen actually…

Can we PLEASE put an end to the Tombstone add ons.
There's a lot that's unbalanced in this game, but nothing is so ridiculously broken as the tombstone add ons. I recently moved to Japan, and playing survivor I run into AT LEAST one Myers running tombstone piece MINIMUM daily. I'm so sick of these games where I play well, I do what I should, I avoid feeding the Myers, but…

Create your own Ultra Rare add on
Basic rules; if it is a significant increase in power, it must come with a significant drawback as well. Examples: Pyramid Head - Hitting a survivor with Punishment of the Damned will now apply Torment. Punishment of the Damned's range decreased by 1.5m Nemesis - Increases the number of zombies by 2. Auras of zombies are…

It was a terrible idea to change base killer mechanics in the same patch that hit 2nd chance perks
This isn't a matter of whether the game is balanced now or not, just a simple opinion. It was a bad idea to make fundmental buffs to all killers in terms of pallet break speed, attack recovery time, etc in the same patch that also made most second chance perks far less guaranteed. It's basically impossible to have any…

Removing bloodpoint bonuses from perks excessively punishes new players
The dev post says that removing the bloodpoint bonuses from BBQ and WGLF is fine because the overall grind is lowered by 75%. That's all very well for veteran players, because we now just tick our characters over P3 and never need to level their perks again. However for new players, the main initial grind is completely…

Since there are going to be perk charms, charm slots should be increased to 4
I mean, I personally hate charms and everything they stand for, but if we're going to have access to perks as charms then we should at least be able to fit a whole 'build' on one loadout. It could be an option for survivors who aren't in SWF to communicate more subtle perk builds, or even by killers to mindgame survivors…

Legitimate Question: Why couldn't they just improve the grind?
I'm not saying there's not improvements, I'm not saying all their choices were bad, I just simply don't understand why BHVR seems completely enamoured by the Monkey's Paw approach to improving their game. We made it easier to get all the perks on every character buuuuut it doesn't address the massive problems with the…

An analysis of how a new player's grind is impacted by the grind 'reduction.' (It increased. A lot.)
Preface and Assumptions I'm firmly within the group of players who benefits most from the grind changes. This isn't complaining out of self-interest, this is sheerly to point out that the new player experience is going to be significantly worse. I am going to analyse as accurately as I can how the grind has changed over…

Does the Self-Care nerf affect Circle of Healing?
As far as I remember, Circle of Healing gives everyone an invisible Self-Care perk while in the radius, which is why its description says it increases healing speed, but it still takes longer than 16 seconds to heal. The current Self-Care speed penalty of 50% is already present before CoH's speed boost is accounted for,…

4 players using OTR will now be the equivalent of quintupling the current effect of Borrowed Time
Mentioned it in another thread, but this reworked OTR is severely overtuned, and is a direct quintupling of an existing meta perk. Currently survivors run BT to protect others, now it will be expected that you bring OTR for yourself, as your teammates will be doing the same. Similar to the old trial of "selfish care" where…

The intentional lack of information about current events is a really gross move by BHVR
There are a lot of events currently occuring and being slowly revealed, and the way they've generally been handled has been an outright middle finger to the players. What should be some exciting changes have been tarnished by bad PR decisions and I can see from the stream of threads on the issue that I'm not the only one…

Hook spawns seem bugged at the moment.
I know I've seen screenshots of two hooks spawning right next to each other, but I just had a match on Ironworks of Misery where I had one hook on half the map. I didn't realise until I went to hook someone that I'd killed someone on the only hook on at least 50% of the map, and it was basically a giant safe-zone. Just for…

From the Deep achievement 'fix' should be reverted.
It now doesn't count Dredge grabbing a survivor who interacts with his current locker as a locker grab. What is even the point of a locker grab achievement coming with with Dredge's chapter then? Hell, it's even called "From the Deep" not "From the Outside where it's nice and bright." For fun bonus points, the description…

The shack should have the breakable wall on more maps
The shack is on basically every map except indoor ones, and it's braindead-easy to run for how much time it wastes. It's basically impossible to mindgame if the survivor doesn't make a mistake, and banking on the fact that they will is a good way to hand them an extra 10 seconds at the loop. Rather than nerf an excessively…

Loading into Garden of Joy as killer may as well just skip to the "Entity Displeased" screen.
Honestly, why do the people who design maps keep unlearning lessons from the past? Huge map rebalances from years ago which made strong buildings' windows conditional, ie, if strong window 1 is open on the Wretched Shop, strong window 2 is blocked. Garden of Joy: All windows are obscenely strong and unblocked at all times.…

What are your suggestions for the upcoming large perk rework?
What we've heard so far about the upcoming 40+ perk reworks are: The perk changes will focus on nerfing/reworking overused perks on either side, notably second chance perks and slowdown perks The goal is to shift the meta They are considering why a perk is run so much, more than just the fact that it is run a lot So here…

Autodidact need to be changed, especially tiers 1 & 2
Over the last few years there's been a shift in perk design to ensure that tier 1 and 2 perks, while still worse than tier 3, are still useful perks. Essentially so that tier 3 of a perk is beneficial, but not mandatory in order to make use of that perk. The one glaring exception to the rule is Autodidact. You start the…

Sadako with "Well Water" add on doesn't count for "hits with your weapon while undetectable."
Got around 20 hits in a match just after manifesting, all while undetectable and running Tinkerer like the challenge said, did not count for 4 in a match.

Someone should speak to whoever makes achievements, and have them never make another "Triage."
Seriously this thing is an absolute nightmare for any of us who don't exclusively play in SWF. You can run Empathic Connection, Blood Pact, whatever you like, and it will still be like beating your head against a brick wall trying to convince random teammates not to do literally anything except come get healed.…
-
A permanent solution to the grind.
As we know BHVR has said perk tiers will not be removed, as despite this meaning the grind wouldn't be its current size for another 5-10 years, it isn't a permanent solution. As far as I can see, there are only 2 ways a grind like DBDs can be permanently reduced: * Bloodpoint gains or costs can be adjusted every chapter to…

Does anyone actually fall for the transparent PR ploys?
The new chapter dropped and the first week was filled with posts about how little impact it had on getting new players or bringing old players back. Then suddenly we get a "rAnDoM" event which encourages everyone to log in daily for 1-2 matches worth of bloodpoints, and wow, we're probably going to see the player numbers…

Boons are seriously ridiculous.
Seriously, whose genius idea was it to add a boon so that now the ENTIRE ironworks of misery grants haste, and it takes a solid 30 seconds out of your game to go kick it, only to have it back up again the second you turn your back. I'm very over every single game being dictated by boons, and 6 months later killers have 0…
-
Why still needlessly link pieces of sets that in no way need to be linked?
By all means, lock the body and head together, but there's no reason whatsoever to prevent us using the red prestige curse. It's honestly insanity to me that an outfit that costs more than the entire chapter put together has less functionality than the crappy common recolours we can get for free.

DBD twitter giving terrible advice to new players.
DBD's official twitter posted a basic Pig tutorial earlier in which they advise new players to "save some traps for the end!" If anyone actually looking for advice on how to play Pig reads that and tries it, they will flat out lose uses of their 4 traps because they don't activate in the end game. It's important to note…

"Cooperative Healthcare" is basically impossible for a solo player.
Requiring you to heal others with another person is basically impossible. The coordination that this requires is already ludicrous, but on top of that we're in a meta where self-caring and bringing med kits is higely efficient, so expecting anyone will stay injured long enough for a third person to rock up is just an…

Since Pyramid Head's daily got an update, can some other killers see the same treatment?
Pyramid Head's daily got dropped from 4 cages to 2. There are some other killers who could definitely use updates to their daily challenges. Twins: Before: Down 4 survivors using Victor's Pounce. After: Hit 4 survivors using Victor's Pounce. Or: Down 4 survivors using Victor's Pounce, or while Victor is latched on them.…

Demogorgon should get the same QoL change Plague got
It's incredibly frustrating to have a small window where you can shred someone, and pressing the shred button cancels your charge and swings for a basic attack instead. Even when I've very consciously tried to hold onto the charge for an instant longer on purpose it still seems to cancel after a significant charge. There…

The current "Swish's Tourney" shows why this game will never have a legitimate competitive scene
I want to preface this by saying none of this is a case of "I could do better," or "the players aren't good," etc. I'm just saying that this game is not built for any form of competitive/esports level of play, and the notion of the devs devoting any time to competitive features would be a complete waste of time. First,…
