Thanks for letting me know, I took a long break from this game and it is still plagued with the same issues.
-
Considering this is BHVR, they are more likely to remove the pre-game lobby (to prevent lobby dodging) than do anything else.
-
Nurse with Bubba's chainsaw
-
For the PS4 I would suggest Pyramid head or Oni if you want more of a challenge (skill wise) whilst still being a threat.
-
If you know how to play against small terror radius killers (or M&A) then tinkerer isn't much of an issue. It should only catch you off guard the first time - or just use spine chill.
-
Have you seen Dragonball? Same deal here.
-
They are stuck in a cycle - same thing every few months (SSDD). There is little to no innovation besides the new killer they release (and even that is bugged as hell and usually shares mechanics borrowed from other killers). The lack of competition breeds complacency. Why put more effort in when there is no real…

Only time it is worth it is when a survivor is hooked in the basement. Trails in the shack can lead to multiple people being tormented if you 'proxy camp' - works best against altruistic survivors or SWF.
-
@Almo I implore you to make reasonable changes to PH. The one common complaint is his ability to fake his M2 and hit you with his M1. This should be addressed - perhaps also make his M2 not as punishing so that players use it more often instead of having to fake it. Neutering him would be horrible and will just make…

This is actually a buff to the DS + Soul Guard combo also but of course they aren't going to mention that.
-
If its such an issue for you then maybe run small game, detective's hunch or a map to find the totems. You can run distortion for the aura reveal block I believe.
-
There may be a case for stairs, but not objectives. He is in a good place already.
-
Ah the extra 'small PP' build. Jokes aside, I feel soul guard is overkill. DS and UB are already good enough together.
-
How many threads are you going to create moaning about DS,PH and Spirit? (You already have this still open.. Close this.)
-
Its as if dead hard, sprint burst or spine chill don't exist.
-
FPS issues on console since 4.10 have been really bad. I get aim dressing and strange whiffs even at close range too - Its not just you. There is a 22 page thread (BHVR, can we acknowledge fps on console is AWFUL since 4.1.0?) discussing this. I haven't noticed any issues solely because of crossplay. I play on PS4 pro.
-
So according to Scott, Spirit and DS have no real counterplay. As the killer (DS/Spirit) has to make the mistake for the survivor to not get hit. However at 3:55 onwards he says 'other half' of the killers require survivors to make mistakes. Do you agree with this? Does that imply that people playing the 'other half'…
-
FPS issues on console are really bad atm. Especially with certain killers.
-
I find prove thyself and bond the easiest way to do these. Bond to find teammates and prove thyself to incentivize them to stay with you.
-
FPS issues on consoles are my biggest gripe to be honest. Killer feels horrendous since patch 4.10 - the devs have acknowledge this after a 9 page post. Enjoying the crossplay survivor experience so far.
-
How so? They already have this for Killers (such as Plague and Freddy/Legion). What benefit does a male survivor have if there is a balance? Because Iron Will exists so making less noise (not always the case as well) isn't a positive and no perk shrinks your frame.
-
I am on PS4. Interesting didn't know Xbox had this option. To be honest the FPS is the main issue here. Since patch 4.10 the game has been a nightmare to play (especially as killer) - the thread with a response from a Dev has nearly 4k views and 250 replies which is a lot compared to the average showing how much of an…
-
What people need to consider that is not just a mechanical (KB&M) advantage PC players have over consoles. Their version is far more optimized than console - a recent thread on FPS on consoles took 8 pages to get a Dev response so that they would just look at it. They also have more tools to that give them an advantage in…
-
Phase 1: Get response Phase 2: Lobby for Console only crossplay?
-
Its been worse recently on the PS4. Patch 4.10 has caused serious FPS issues in-game. Especially for Killers.
-
Yeah, I am with you. Only Billy's addons should have been touched - same should have happened with Nurse.
-
Being a 'POC' - I rather have some shorter male/taller female survivors in the game.
-
Ashy Slashy as the killer. Seriously though, Evil Ash with a chainsaw would be lit.
-
P3 Ash main here - would love more cosmetics for him, though it would be down to licensing which I don't see happening. I play him because of Bruce Campbell (Evil dead and Burn Notice) and he has done the voice acting for the in-game model. Only thing he does need is Iron Will though. As he is loud AF when you play killer.
-
Thank you Mandy for the response. We are concerned because we haven't received a response from any of the devs for something that is seriously ruining the experience of console players - to the point where I don't feel like playing killer (in particular - though survivors are also affected) until this is resolved.
-
Hi @MandyTalk - is anyone going to address this? recent changes are making the console versions near unplayable.
-
Just revert whatever they did in the 4.10 patch. At least make it playable - I don't expect anything groundbreaking for this generation of consoles especially with next gen around the corner.
-
How many years before they 'fix' it and bring it back?
-
'Gen rushing doesn't exist' then neither does hook rushing (aka tunneling). Enjoy.
-
Something like that yes. Though ranks aren't considered in this MMR - so the rating equivalent basically (i.e. base rating has a higher floor).
-
Yeaah hopefully, with PS5 around the corner. It 'feels' like they have downed tools on the PS4 version. Billy will remain as is it seems unfortunately. He was my first main too so I feel for those who main him now - though I don't know the extent in game (not numbers) as to how much this affects things.
-
Its (framerate - lag too) gotten worse on console recently. To the point that I get weird whiffs at close range or survivors vanish somehow plus aim dressing becomes really apparent when the survivor moves even a little to the side.
-
Perhaps you should read the original post properly then. The poster only joined yesterday - you expect them to know all your terminology? or the strength of every killer in relation to one another. Even then the title was phrased as a question not a statement.
-
You will find some people on this forum are quite divided and biased unfortunately. If you say anything about their preferred side then the pitchforks come out. Best way to learn the game is to play both sides and pick up what you can from content creators. The game can be tough for new players as extensive…
-
Framerate on PS4 is so janky after the last patch. Sometimes they change things that are not on the patch notes - so I will need to test after I install.
-
Asking for help isn't complaining - btw there is a question mark in the title.
-
No worries, he has one of the best killers perks (Pop goes the weasel). I would suggest Leatherface too (as he has BBQ and Chili which is a solid tracking perk that gives extra bloodpoints). I also like the fact that you are assigning roles to your survivors.
-
I'm sure @SpaceCoconut called it in one of his videos. The cooldown rarely occurred if you knew how to use him and the devs wouldn't want to waste all the 'hard work' they put into him. I just wish they changed his addons only and spent the rest of the time fixing bugs and game issues.
-
This. Fungoose is a good educational content creator in general. Also playing the killer (if you have him) is a good way to learn their strengths and weaknesses.
-
The person is asking how to 'get gud' perhaps be more constructive. Even worse is people are upvoting your comment.
-
Time played needs to be factored in - new players shouldn't be matched with rank 1s on either side. Ranks needs to be a sort of progression system with smaller rewards than the rift.
-
Depends on the SWF, not all are death squads. Generally more frustrating as killer to play against though.
-
To be honest, this is the type of answer I prefer. Acknowledging necessary changes for both sides.
-
The base MMR for killers needs to be raised if the player is skilled at playing killer (even if its one). So when switching killers you aren't playing rank 20s. I am not sure whether time played is factored in or not. But if it isn't then it should be.
