Also I never said "don't complain about the matchmaking." I'm saying that using it to justify your lazy, entitled behavior is pathetic.
-
What a terrible comparison. Overwatch has an infinitely higher skill gap than DBD does, and based on Blizzard's stats, nearly 70% of the playerbase sits in-between those ranks. Grandmaster, for example, is less than 1% of that playerbase, whereas anyone can hit ranks of they just play enough. Not to mention the ranking…
-
So you're just trying to make excuses for your entitled behavior because it's easier than trying to get better at the game? Got it.
-
I don't know if it counts as meta or not, but I pretty much always run Bond. The information it provides is just so useful so often.
-
Agreed. There's no point in running a perk that's either seriously bugged, or is just non-functional with the disastrous state of the servers. At this point Balanced Landing is a better exhaustion perk lol.
-
No, it's not an automatic win, because you had an entire match that you could have played better up until that point. As someone else said, if you did your job better beforehand, you wouldn't have to rely on hooking the same person twice in a minute at the end. Besides, almost every killer runs NOED these days, and there…
-
First of all, imagine talking about the "easy way out" while defending DC's. And no, reporting DC's/suicides isn't childish, it's the right thing to do. There's literally a report category for people who afk, quit, etc. Second, having DC penalties doesn't encourage camping, that's a Herculean leap in logic. If garbage…
-
You never "have" to tunnel or camp. You choose to, to supplement your own lack of skill and effort. A good killer doesn't have to play like that to get 2+ kills the vast majority of the time. "If I leave the hook I'm doomed to a 0-1k." That's exactly why you'll never improve at this game. More importantly, what could…
-
Mori's will be addressed the same day that keys do, although it seems like both sides would be okay with that at this point.
-
And if they immediately suicide on their first hook, report them, since that's almost as bad. More importantly, suicides are far less frequent than DC's used to be. It's a fact that people stick around for the majority of a match far more often than they used to, and that's a good thing.
-
Let me be clear: DC'ing in general, is a ######### move, and I report almost every person who does. But saying that a necessary mechanic like hatch should be removed, simply on the off-chance someone DC's at the end to give another person hatch, is just childish. Should we get rid of one of the hook states just because some…

While I agree that this game feels like it's becoming way too Killer-sided, the idea that simply using a killer or a specific perk is "toxic" is ridiculous. I hate Freddy as much as the next guy, but simply playing him doesn't make someone toxic. Irrational statements like that only hurt Survivor's credibility.
-
Yeah, I'm gonna call b.s. There is almost no excuse to DC, period. If you chose to go into a game with 4 other people, to essentially ruin the experience of everyone else there because your feeling for hurt, is just plain pathetic, regardless of which side you play. Do you want to go back to the days when Survivors DC'd…
-
In other words, get a report?
-
Pretty sure this is just a PC thing. I'm a mostly solo queue player at red ranks on PS4 and I've almost never seen my teammates running it. If a solo queue player DOES run it, it's usually just to take the aggro to make the game more interesting for themselves, since many feel that the chase is the most entertaining part…
-
My God, the entitlement in this thread. Imagine complaining about the extremely rare circumstance where someone willingly gives up all their points and their time invested to give someone else hatch. Someone makes that sacrifice, and they're "abusing the game?" It's not like they're receiving no punishment for it, it only…
-
Yes, it is. I agree that the argument of "if you don't tunnel, you'll never eat it" is objectively wrong, but it IS primarily an anti-tunnel perk. Just because some people use it outside it's intended purpose doesn't mean that it's not. As long as so many killers camp and tunnel, Decisive and Borrowed are necessary. There…
-
Okay, but that's not the point you were making before. You attacked me for playing with friends, referring to it as "abusing an advantage." Then you implied that saying that it's a casual party game, which it is, or at least was originally meant to be, is hypocrisy and compared it to wanting unfair loops. These kinds of…
-
Funny, every time someone disagrees with you on this thread, instead of trying to have a rational debate with them about game balance, you instead spend all this time looking at our profiles and combing through our old comments, and take them out of context, in some desperate bid to discredit us instead of trying to…
-
This kind of commentary is where we get the idea from. You literally equated me playing a casual party game with my friends, the 10% of the time I do, with "abusing an advantage." That's what I reacted strongly to. And you're far from the first. If you, or anyone else, wants to debate game balance in a calm, rational way,…
-
What are you talking about? I've played plenty of actual team pvp games (Overwatch and R6, for example) and plenty more PvE games that happen to have a pvp mode (Destiny 2, Last of Us), and I've rarely seen lobby restrictions of any kind, especially not limiting how many people you can play with. The only kind I ever see…
-
It's hilarious that you call Survivor players "victims" when it's the killer mains that have been drowning in their own victim mentality for years. And I'm sorry, who's been getting freebies? You've been given practically everything. Meanwhile for Survivors it's been years of nothing but adjusting, learning, and having to…
-
A queue limit is a bad idea. I have three friends who I enjoy playing with, on the rare occasion we're actually all online at the same time. Not to sweat it out, but because we just enjoy each other's company. If I couldn't play with them anymore, I'd objectively play less DBD, and so would many others. It is supposed to…
-
People seem to forget that a voice chat system wouldn't mean you're required to participate in it. Like Overwatch, or almost any other pvp game with a team chat, you can choose to join or leave said chat. And yes, it would be helpful long term. Yes, the 5% of games that have 4-man SWF's are cancer for one side, but solo…
-
I'm sorry, an "Uphill battle?" Really? Is that what you call three years of getting nearly everything you ask for? Three years of almost every balance change being in your favor? What an obscene sense of entitlement.
-
Funny, meta Killers who use crutch/"second chance" perks aren't fun to go up against, either. But you're just gonna focus on complaining about one side cause you're a hypocrite.
-
This is BHVR were talking about. Anything to reduce the number of rainbow games (a person of every rank color) I get on both sides would be great. Or games like a couple hours ago when I went up against two red ranks, and two rank 20's. As a rank 12 at the time. I hope to God well see an improvement, but I don't have high…
-
It's because he can do just about everything, and he can do it all with minimal skill or effort involved. Others in this thread have gone into the details already, but the way the game plays out as/against Freddy is just boring. I don't mind most strong killers. If I go down to a Nurse or a Billy, I feel like they actually…
-
I won't know about Xbox, but making new accounts is extremely easy on PS4. If it's as easy, then just make a new account to practice a new killer on, it's what I've been doing for Billy.
-
Imagine thinking the infinite mend exploit that blatantly took games hostage and the hook tech that's not even that useful are actually comparable. Lmao some of you people are seriously out of touch with reality.
-
They should remove the ranking/pip system that we can see, and just keep it as an invisible matchmaker. They don't even have to change how it works, just make it more precise, and stop us from seeing it. Plenty of other games have an invisible MMR, after all. That way people can stop being toxic about rank, and actually…
-
I haven't seen a difference in wait times, at least not when I'm solo queueing or playing killer. The matchmaking did change for SWF's though. The only difference I've found is that sometimes I'll get hit from a mile away, or that my frames sometimes go to s*** when I'm playing Doctor.
-
I don't know what's funnier, someone pretending that one salty player represents all survivor mains, or the people in this thread who are so out of touch with reality that they think survivors are being catered to by the devs, despite the fact that the majority of balance changes since this game came out have been in favor…
-
Have you...have you heard Jane?
-
Are you...are you actually serious? Killers are so much stronger than they were two years ago, it's not even funny. The vast majority of balance changes since this game came out have been in favor of killers. While survivors might be stronger atm, it's not by much(the average survival rate is 40%, after all). And as…
-
Imagine actually believing Survivor is that much easier to play. Especially when they've released the stats, and the average survival rate is only about 40%. And that was months ago, it might be even lower now.
-
I do hate Ruin in particular, but the other perks I'm fine with. Cause it feels like you need some skill to get good use out of the others. Whereas Ruin is just "here you go, free value for doing nothing." It's bad game design. I wish Ruin was weaker and perks like Thanatophobia were stronger, tbh.
-
It is incredible how after the absurdly long wait, that dedicated servers have somehow made things worse. I thought the hitboxes were bad before, but dear God, it's been out of control lately.
-
I'll call b.s. Only 5% of all games are 4 man SWF's, and another 10% are 3 man's. Which means that 85% of the time, your matches have only solos and duos. Stop pretending that every time you do poorly, it's the "evil SWF players." I mean, wanting to play with your friends? How toxic lol.
-
Only 40% average survival rate. At least, it was a few months ago. I imagine it's a little lower now.
-
"Half the games are swf using voice chat." I'll call b.s. Only 5% of all games are 4 man swf's, and another 10% are 3 man's. That means that 85% of the time, you're going up against a mix of duos and solo's. It's really not as bad as a lot of killer mains like you want to believe it is. Sometimes you just get outplayed,…
-
Why is it so hard to understand that when survivors have been nerfed so many times, that the strongest killer in the game will look stronger and stronger accordingly? Also, it should be common sense that a character with a high skill ceiling like Nurse's will feel stronger and stronger as everyone continues to get…
-
You realize the vast majority of those are 2 man's, right? 4 man swf's are about 5%, and 3 man swf's are either 10% or 15%. On top of that, they've shown that the average survival rate of 40% only goes up to 50% for those playing in swf, so not really the impact you want to believe. People enjoying some games with a friend…
-
Only if it's something extreme, like 3 rank 1-3's and a 20. Then it's obvious they're exploiting. But sometimes friends are different ranks. In my main group of friends, for example, I'm currently 7, but they're something like 11, 13, and 16(they don't play DBD much these days). So last week, I probably ended up facing a…
-
Agreed. If the devs spent more time fixing the weaker perks instead of just nerfing whatever the crybabies are posting about this week, the game would be a lot more fun. The biggest reason why we have such "meta" perks, is because there are so many perks that just don't compete in most scenarios.
-
How do those anything to do with the topic at hand? Nice Strawman though.
-
Personally, I'd gladly give up Adrenaline if it meant giving up NOED.
