The real problem with "skill-based" matchmaking is that they took 3 years just to implement a binary kill/escape check with zero nuance. All it encourages is playing incredibly selfish as a survivor and camping out a kill or two if you think you are outmatched as killer. I think everyone agrees this is not fun gameplay.

He is already worse than Huntress in his current iteration. Why anyone would pick him after this next patch besides wanting to RP as a cowboy is beyond me.

Is this not exactly what we had before and what was promised by the devs? Like I know DBD is a casual game with a revolving-door playerbase, especially after the last few chapters have increased its popularity by a lot but I'm always impressed by how the forums have ~2 weeks before they completely neglect facts.

Franklin's is one of those perks that is probably bottom 10 in terms of effectiveness but everyone on Earth just loves to obsess over. I don't get why people are so pressed about losing 1 yellow toolbox. Honestly you should be happy he decided to sacrifice a perk slot to inflict minor inconveniences on the opposing team.
