Hmmm... this is going to get interesting.
-
I'm 47 and I never see a time where I stop gaming, it has brought me joy throughout my life. This is one of the best horror games out there and it is aimed at adults. I've never cared about the ages of players in games, only how they play in the game.
-
Yep playing against a talented Doctor is an ordeal. It sometimes feel like there is no time to just relax and get a gen done with the Doc. He would be my pick also.
-
As a survivor I've been killed ten times in a row, and about half that when it comes to escapes in a row.
-
How is the solo experience in this game? There is a way to make the game more fun for everyone, and I try to follow that rule. It is don't be an #########. Meaning don't drop the killer on other players, lead the killer away from those doing gens, or someone on the hook. And try save that person on the hook before they get…

I used to buy lots of games a year, now I buy far fewer. The main reason is that some games I keep returning to and new games just don't match the level of fun. Dead by Daylight is one that I keep coming back to, and it's simply because I love it. There is a thrill in this one that other games just don't offer.
-
I play rather a lot, it depends on how much time I have for gaming each week. At the moment I'd say I spend about 80% of it with DBD. I take breaks from the game, sometime for a few months. Every time I return I'm reminded why I love it.
-
I love 10 Cloverfield Lane. I've watched it a few times and it is just fantastic. The music is great, characters are well crafted and believable. I will not spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but it delivered for me on the horror front.
-
They are my fave killers to play as at the moment. I don't have to try that hard to well. Although I haven't played against teams working together yet. It is fun chasing someone towards Victor and then switching to him.
-
The Trickster looks crazy and Yun-Jin Lee looks resilient, I love both appearances. This is the chapter I've been most excited for since Silent Hill. At the moment I'm pretty busy but I should be able to get a few hours play in.
-
I mentioned in another thread how I am a fan of the creative people who make this game. I find these original chapters just as fun as the licensed ones. I've been thoroughly enjoying playing as the Twins. And Elodie is amongst my fave three survivors, currently she is the only one I'm playing as until Yun-Jin. Other people…
-
These should work.
-
Love the look of both Trickster and Yun-Jin, can't wait to try them out. Both attires are very well crafted, the characters themselves look phenomenal, they totally fit into the atmosphere of the game. Whoever designed them, great work! The only thing lacking is some neon filled cityscape map, but I understand the whole…
-
Fave killer is the Twins, I've had a lot of fun with them today. Fave survivor at the moment is Elodie. But I am really looking forward to playing as Yun-Jin next week or whenever.
-
Cheers. I found as a survivor that I really enjoy facing the Twins, that is part of the motivation to get good with them. Thanks for the tips.
-
Thank you. That's perfect.

Lost in Translation (2003) The Rest of Us (2019) The Journey of Natty Gann (1985) A Country Called Home (2016) The Miseducation of Cameron Post (2018) 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) Short Term 12 (2013) The Fundamentals of Caring (2016) Wild (2014) Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

I have played DBD a lot since it came to PS4, so for the enjoyment I have got out of the game, yep it is worth a 9/10.

Certain horror movies have this almost mythical status for me. I recall walking by a cinema when I was young and older sisters talking about the movie Nightmare on Elm Street. This was the poster: The whole concept of the film terrified me. When I eventually watched it on video when it was released, it lived up to…

Thank you for the response, I shall address your last point first. Yes it is only in regards to the story that having a gay character could improve the game. But it is subjective, meaning it is personal feelings that are correct here rather than some fact that is true for everyone. So if someone hated gay people, then the…
-
The reason it matters is because representation matters. Does Ellie's sexuality in The Last of Us matter? The game mechanics wouldn't be any different if she was attracted to males, and you could argue that her being a heterosexual young woman wouldn't even change the narrative that much. The problem, as I see it, is if…
-
I took a break for a good few months. When I returned to playing I found the game to be vastly improved. I mostly just play survivor, so that is the only side of the game I can have an informed opinion on.
-
Is what top tier players think fun the same as what the average player finds fun? I noticed a few of the most successful survivors I've played with play a very patient game. Whereas there is a much more reckless style with the majority who make up the player base. So I don't see how catering for a minority who like to play…
-
I've only encountered two clear hackers in the last few hundred matches I've played, one was a survivor and the other was a combination of survivor and killer. Neither hacks I care to mention here. Either you are just really unlucky or you're mistaking the way some people play as some sort of hack. Also I play on ps4, but…
-
As a lot of others have mentioned, Kindred. It is crucial to have when playing solo. It gives you the ability to coordinate somewhat with the others, you see where everyone is instantly and you can gauge what type of players you are with. I'm starting play other characters to unlock their teachable perks and until I get…
-
This has happened a few times before, and again earlier today. I'm first hooked soon to the start of the game, freed and recaptured. I figure my game is over, either I'll die on the hook or get caught again without much chance to play and have fun. I get freed and for whatever reason I run into the Killer again, I'm not…
-
You choose not to escape?
-
Meg, there is something very heroic about her.
-
I don't loop. I try to evade the killer by using other tactics. More often than not I get caught. If I found looping enjoyable I would do it no matter what others thought about it on this forum.
-
Why not make it a year long celebration?
-
Both the Gideon Meat Plant and the Underground Complex. I do like playing them as a solo survivor, however the other people I'm with have to be good or I have to get lucky in order to make it out alive. I figure my playstyle doesn't suit those maps.
-
Cool. And it would make for a pretty great movie with all these survivors in one of the Saw films.
-
Cheryl not in this?
-
The people who cheat like that are in the minority, only a tiny fraction of the player base, at least from my experience.
-
The killer is playing the bad guy. If it's within the rules it's fine.
-
I play a solo survivor and there are some games, not many, maybe one is every twenty or thirty, where the killer is really good. Playing fair and given us a chance. My team mates are very decent too. From what I see no one is doing crap like teabagging or taunting. The game becomes a performance between two sides, and it…
-
I get them too, I think it's pretty cool.
-
1. Jason is a given, he is the main slasher we're missing. I am sure if it is doable he will join the killers. However he wouldn't be that different to what already is in the game, still I'd like to have the full set of them. 2. I would love to see a vampire themed killer. I'm not too bother which movie he or she comes…
-
Dracula would be pretty great. He is one of the most iconic supernatural villains of all time. I'm pretty sure that if the character is based on the book, rather than a film adaptation, there would be no need to pay a license.
-
That would be cool. And to be honest I would just love to have a vampire themed dlc, regardless of where it comes from, even have a fan copetition to help design it.
-
I love vampire movies. My suggestion is 30 Days of Night, it was a comic and 2007 horror. The level map could be pretty much all snow covered. The killer could be the head vampire from the film or inspired by their general creepiness. Actor: Danny Huston And the survivor could be either of the main heroes Actors: Melissa…
-
The only time I've escaped from his harpoon was when a talented team mate ran into the harpoon wire after he skewered me.
-
I recall when I first played that all in-game sounds done that to me. They agitated my hearing and that brought on anxiety, the audio is pretty well designed in the game. This recently added car-engine-turning-over stands out because we are so used to the other sounds that they just fade into the background and have little…
-
Fixing generators in this game should be tense, if the new sound helps with that, then that is a good thing.
-
That article also mentions the new game in the works.
-
This would be my pick also. I recall sitting in the cinema watching it and being astounded by every part of it. I was never that much of a fan of the games, but after seeing that film I feel in love with that universe. Apparently there is another movie in the works. This Halloween I'm going to rewatch it with a few others…
-
The Doctor, he is relentless and creepy as hell. Games against players who are good with him are such an ordeal.
-
Cheryl Mason. I play her as someone altruistic but not stupid. Meaning I will risk a lot save others, especially when against her nemesis, Pyramid Head. But I won't die for a lost cause. Also I'm not brave in real life, so playing a daring and sefless character is a real thrill. And I always play solo, so having the perk…
-
I like the community. I love horror movies, so playing games with others who share a similar passion is thoroughly entertainment. There is an element of toxicity, but that is to be expected with anything online.
-
Glad you are only taking a break.
