New Feature: Vending Machines

The idea is to give survivors something else to do in matches.

i also like the eery feeling of flickering vending machines standing around on the maps kinda like the pinball machines on Greenville Square.

This concept is not meant to be balanced as is, you dont have to like it, but please be respectful when/if giving feedback.

Survivors can find coins that may be left by startled crows. This is directly influenced by luck and will give crows finally a little bit more significance. Running Calm Spirit would be counterproductive in this case but maybe that perk can get another rework which includes getting close to a crow will result in the crow not being startled but giving you a coin still.

Coins count as limited items. Can’t be picked up when carrying another limited item but can be dropped (unlike Sadakos tapes for example). When on the ground they give out a small sparkle when nearby (as seen with items in different other games).

Coins can be then used on one of the vending machines which may be highlighted in white aura when carrying a coin and nearby x meters. You get a drink in exchange with one of the following small effects:

  • Short sprint boost
  • Short duration of action speed boosts
  • Short duration of killer aura reading
  • X % of negative status effect duration cut
  • If injured, gives either x % insta healing progress or something like BNP effect but for the healing bar (only once)
  • Next killer stun will be x sec longer
  • Other effects possible/ideas??

To activate the effect you need to use the item button and a short animation will run that’s either not interruptible or if interrupted the effect doesn’t work (drink may still be consumed - ‚spilled‘)
