You understand the pip system wrong. It has never had anything to do with skill; not even before Emblems. The closest thing to that is Devotion or hours played, and that's not a universally useful metric in the context of the killer meta.
-
Play her and realize she has to tunnel and camp like a lot of other killers. If she doesn't get hits off traps, she's just a slow M1 killer that isn't as versatile as Huntress. Grief her traps early and watch her helplessly run around trying to do something as generators get repaired.
-
She only massacres bad players, but she's not inherently different than the Trapper or Leatherface if she wants to camp. Otherwise, one good player just runs around behind her popping all of her traps, and so she can never get the game "started" because she's slower and easily looped. If she stops to drop a trap, and…
-
I think it's dumb, but we only have the devs to blame for this. They literally designed and incentivized camping for the killer.
-
Except that this isn't how solo queue plays out. The problem is the balance relation between those two scenarios.
-
Hillbilly went from S+ tier to S tier with his nerfs, and people want him buffed back up. lol
-
Small nerf and everybody quits playing him (thank god). Still has all of his strengths that put him over a lot of other killers considered A-tier.
-
Yes. There's a couple maps he's weaker on, but with each rework the ranged killers become stronger as higher obstructions are removed.
-
I actively avoid those on the bloodweb because it counters her. She's not the only killer with addons that are straight nerfs to her, either.
-
Some might think so, but I never have because I've never seen someone complete a heal with it. With a juiced medkit, only once or so. As for Self Care, I've only seen a heal once pre-nerfs, and it took about 8 strong loops + pallets to do it.
-
Eh, I just d/c when I face crap like this. Got a game where Wraith was running Devour, Ruin, and Thrill. All 3 hexes spawned next to each other and he camped them after triggering Devour and kept hooking people between them. Automatic loss, since he was using the aforementioned addons, so he could see us and we couldn't…
-
I don't consider it cheating. I consider it dumb unless you have some kind of visual impairment that makes it difficult to consistently discern the center of your screen. Otherwise, you're just adding an unnecessary visual obstruction where there's a lot of visual cues in its place. Comparatively, I consider messing with…
-
I'd like to see the Barbeque stats, since that perk is incredibly busted on a lot of killers. It's only gotten stronger as a lot of maps have been nerfed, too.
-
Any killer can 3-gen. Most just don't do it because it's a long and slow win. Camping is generally faster to a win with nearly as much success rate.
-
Pretty much never quit as killer, but as a solo queue survivor it's pretty regular. Solo survivors put generators on their lowest priority, and even with (multiples of) Kindred in play it doesn't change how they play for the better. To compound this, most killers are dicks that will waste additional time by slugging and…
-
I don't find them incomparable. Hag's game is ruined if a survivor runs into her too early. Even if she disengages to try and lay traps that survivor can follow her around and keep triggering them and denying her the bulk of her ability. Since she's a slower killer she can't even do anything about it. Oni just has to hit…
-
Cool map for design. Bad map for gameplay. Large corridors and difficulty in finding generators help the killer immensely. Both gates have a huge visible sightline between. A lot of the classroom loops have full visibility, which favors one side over the other depending on the killer. I'm kind of leaning towards maps…
-
I put the Glyph challenge last this time around because I was insanely lucky the last tome to find them relatively quickly overall. You have to be extremely close to have them manifest just for the audio cue, and they can spawn literally anywhere. I hate it when they're all the way against a wall in an obscure corner of…
-
kek The Entitlement™ "I got 3K, so I deserve the 4K, too."
-
Ah, yes, the killer is punished with a 3K already in the bank, but they still need a guaranteed 4K because the 50-50 in their favor isn't enough.
-
Hypothetically, let's say it is. Who would report the killer for being AFK? How would you amass enough reports for something to happen. Everyone wants to de-rank, so you'd be hard pressed to do this. Especially since reporting is kind of a pointless system anyway. I've faced the same late-night AFK farming bot multiple…
-
AFK. Queue in as the killer and watch a movie or cook or something.
-
It's trolling to see these threads in every game I play now. For about 3 months straight the WoW forums were straight up SPAMMED with threads about that (at one point there was 10-12 on the front page)--despite there already being some representation in that game. They've died down considerably since, but there's still at…
-
A good Hag is nothing at red ranks. It only takes one good survivor to completely destroy her.
-
Well, Nurse's husband is dead. I think it's just meant to convey the theme.
-
Yes, literally new players. How do you convince them to play when the killer that they almost always see is completely invisible? Once you were in the dream, Freddie could see you at all times you were outside of his terror radius. He was only weak against survivors that knew that you could just loop him endlessly and…
-
If the dating sim becomes a reality, you could ship whomever you wanted. :P
-
Ah, yes. Trying to get my friends into the game and them quitting because of an invisible killer that they couldn't escape being in 90% of matches. Absolutely brilliant idea to bring it back.
-
Adam Francis is a teacher, so they likely changed the original idea, and he's the final product.
-
Get the key-holder killed and jack their key. Survival of the fittest.
-
It's hard to take it seriously when you've got 1k+ hours into the game. A lot of continuing enjoyment is derived from the community and its antics. Like this dating sim idea. lol
-
Hag is weak at red ranks. You're operating under the assumption that survivors will let her get traps out at all. If you deny her the time and freedom to set up her trap web she's literally just a slow M1 killer. A lot of her own addons counter her, such as increased radius preventing her from getting hits off of traps.
-
Barbeque & Chili. Bloodpoints? Fine. Aura read? Not okay, made even worse with a lot of the maps getting vision nerfs.
-
Deathslinger. Why a ranged killer doesn't have a terror radius, has near-hitscan, and extreme range, is beyond me. Huntress has a 45 meter hum, hatchet wind-up with very loud audio cues, slower hatchet throws with speed that only increases if you hold it, and has to reload specifically at lockers--time consuming, and…
-
It's faster than trying to suicide, especially if the killer deliberately drags out the game with slugging. Ex: Just had a game where a Huntress face camped 2 survivors to death because they went down too close to each other. Went for a save, and she grabbed the third, and one managed to suicide, while the…
-
You get some extra bloodpoints.
-
Self Care is a back up perk in my eyes. Always better to be healed by someone else in 90% of situations, if they're available. If not, SC can be a life saver, especially at the end.
-
It's hard enough to sit in the killer's terror radius for Diversion (20 seconds), especially since some killers outright nullify theirs in some way. This isn't an effective perk slot, and you're better off taking something else to waste more of the killer's time, or speed up your own repairs.
-
If pallets weren't broken, it *could* be the strongest exhaustion perk, but its design looks like it's specifically to counter the Spirit Fury/Enduring combo. You're always risking a hit going for a pallet stun anyway, though. Sprint Burst and Dead Hard are much more versatile.
-
There's no point in 99ing generators. This actually makes RBT's more powerful for wasting time, since now you're risking huge regression on top of slowing down further progress. The trapped survivor is already preoccupied, but now you're asking the other 3 to also do nothing to advance their survival? The Pig herself will…
-
The amount of times I've watched survivors die for their items is kinda hilarious.
-
I don't really see the complaints much, since Dead Hard won't even work for me most of the time. For it to even be an incredibly useful perk requires good map RNG, since being out in the middle of nowhere it won't help you like Sprint Burst can. When you can, it's pretty amazing.
-
Crate of Gears is better for reducing the timer for actual trap kills. I tested this extensively a while back, utilizing different Pig addon combos to see how they affected the game and how valuable they were. However, I personally love playing with 6 boxes, since you can see them running around forever doing nothing if…
-
Until other survivors start healing me, I'm going to keep using it.
-
If it's not me, it's someone else. The match was over before it began.
-
7/10 of them face camp. I just disconnect. If they're not going to let me play, and they're not playing themselves, it's not even a game at that point. Plus it denies them more points and I just go take a bathroom break or refill my drink.
-
Survivors have been asking for Spirit nerfs since her PTB. The only mega broken thing about her was the original Prayer Beads, but given that DbD is an early access game in all facets but label, I'm not surprised that it came out like that.
-
NOED can guarantee a kill or two at endgame, but DH will get cleansed 9/10 times before you can hit 4-5 stacks. If it's not cleansed before 3, survivors will be looking for it after they know it's in play.
-
Hag gets dunked on if any of the survivors have even a modicum of experience playing as her to know how exploitable her traps are.
-
Hacker. They're very common right now, and there has been no indication of any fixes or acknowledgement in the patch notes. They must be extremely accessible right now, as I've seen multiple hackers on console and PC both lately.
