Did the Spirit have Stridor? Stridor genuinely just increases the volume of injured noises/breathing for EVERYONE in the game. If you have iron will 3 and you can hear yourself injured, that means the killer has Stridor.
-
Not a perk, but I feel it should be built into the emblem system that it's worth extra Chaser points or something to get in a new chase while someone is on the hook as you are keeping more people busy that way (note how this is a REWARD as opposed to a PUNISHMENT). A BP modifier for taking offensive actions against…

It's competitive in the way that there's winners and losers. It's by no means a game it makes any sense to take as "competitive" in the same way as esports-oriented games. Going into it with that sort of mindset is just setting yourself up for pointless frustration.
-
Sure if you want to be technical she is fundementally broken as her skill ceiling is in outer space, but with some practice it's still fun and very different to play against her in my opinion. I guess if someone has a very binary "escape/4k = fun, anything else = not fun" mindset she wouldn't be fun to face though lmao. I…

@Redcum I'm aware, I guess I'm just fed up with people that seem to genuinely, seriously, unironically think they will make an announcement saying "Killers using blade bug 2.0 or any other bugs will get banned! Survivors using Wake Up! will not be punished though" Obviously if they'll ban for either, they'll ban for both.
-
I honestly thought it was common knowledge that just because you paid for something it can be changed if needed when it's a balance issue in a multiplayer game. Just imagine if for some obscure reason it wasn't allowed, guess we'd still have DS 1.0 with everyone getting insta-DS obsession or not 😄
-
Meanwhile I've seen a singular survivor use it in red ranks, both as killer and survivor myself. Guess you're unlucky. And whoever honestly believes they will come out and say they'll ban killers using bugs and omit survivors - get your victim complexes in check or quit the game before it drains more of your emotional…
-
It should be first come first serve with no exceptions in a perfect world with no latency, whoever does their interaction first should win every single time. So no, keep hatch interrupts out.
-
If you want anything else than either the often mentioned buff solos -> buff killers that need it approach or bonuses to the killer (like extra bloodpoints and such) please just do yourself a favor and find another game to play. You're just gonna keep getting frustrated at something that won't change the way you want it…
-
And also remember that when the Legion bug happened the Legion in general was already right in the middle of a spicy controversy over their own existance and design, it makes sense it was acted on quickly from a pure PR perspective. People shouldn't use Wake Up! while bugged, I wish they could just disable the perk until…
-
No, if there's an obsession just assume everyone has it and play accordingly. Slug the unhooked and chase the unhooker, let them go and pick up the slug if they want them back in the game and continue as usual, it's still pressure and chase + slug is a very strong situation in itself. 90% of the time people trying to use…
-
If every survivor just broke totems they randomly saw on their ways between gens/unhooks NOED would basically never activate outside of maps with totem spots far out of the way like the Swamp. On some maps you don't even have to use your brain to find them. Like on autohaven just check between the tires in TL-wall loops…
-
Record it with shadowplay or something if you have it and send a support ticket with the video, I'm like 99% sure I got someone banned this way as I reported them and when I checked their profile a while later they had written they were banned and linked their new account there 😄 It's possible their connection was just…
-
That is indeed the right way to do it, punishing people for playing SWF is an idiotic path that shouldn't be pursued no matter what . Somewhat off-topic but the same mentality should be applied to camping to be fair, like giving the killer 1 minute of a BP modifier when hooking someone to make it tempting to go do other…
-
Just do gens and try to signal they're camping. If they truly deactivate their brain and hard camp with 5 gens up or something they're throwing away so much potential pressure and more often than not they can hope for 2 kills at absolute most. And if they are ascended enough to do that AND complain about gen rush at the…
-
It's fine, really the perfect one-use perk if you ask me as it actually requires something objective-based. It actually feels like a reward. And I heavily disagree with the people that want it to get wasted if the survivor is hooked/being carried. Considering it's a one-time perk it should activate no matter what if the…
-
Tunneling if something like a bad unhook happens and you can freely pick between the unhooked person and the unhooker just makes sense. Turning off your brain and doing ascended ######### like trying to squeeze past bodyblockers with 5 gens still up instead of hitting them, picking up DS bait so obvious a monkey in a coma could…
-
If you genuinely feel that way just stop playing, that sort of victim complex isn't something you're supposed to get from playing a god damn video game.
-
That just encourages constant heavy tunneling/proxy camping, no thanks. Even though one interesting side effect is that it would certainly nerf the no heal "strat" vs plague 😄 They're strong, just like instaheals and pimped out toolboxes. DBD is not a game chasing perfect balance, some matches are simply more rough for one…
-
They haven't added extra difficulty (aka punishing people for playing with friends) because that'd be absolutely idiotic. Casual players get annoyed, the ~4man SWAT team depip squads~ just dodge lobbies to get eachother like people did pre-SWF and screw queue times - everybody loses. Sure you could punish lobby dodging or…
-
If there's a lot of pallets in one place it usually means there's a deadzone somewhere else, as super-compact (or even straight up double) pallets tend to happen on maps with "islands" of safety inbetween all the swamp/cornland. And as said, double pallets is just what happens when the minimum pallet number isn't reached…
-
To avoid skillchecks, grabs or making the gen repair noise. The last one is pretty rare but it can let you finish a gen under the killer's nose if they are listening for the sound. Don't really have to gentap to avoid grabs even against something like prayer beads, just let go for a moment now and then and it decreases the…
-
No one will get banned until they make an announcement like with the original Legion blades bug. The fact hey haven't done so really implies they're aiming to fix as much as possible in the hotfix, I'd imagine they would have announced it if they knew they couldn't fix it for a month or something. And even then the only…

Sometimes matchmaking just gets drunk and you get sent to the Twilight Zone, I've had games where me as a rank 3 survivor ends up in a lobby where the highest rank of ANY other player in there is 15. If a SWF party has very spread out ranks (think something like 3-6-11-14 or something) obviously someone will look out of…
-
@Dokta_Carter Some people seem to believe everyone should have some sort of mutual chill period ("soft farming" or straight up farming even) just because of the event. In my opinion playing normally will be perfectly fine no matter what. Going out of your way to screw someone out of points as a primary objective is stupid…

I saw Boil Over do a thing yesterday. Killer was carrying a Kate and got a bit greedy trying to hook her in a corner, and the moment I saw him get stuck on a barrel for even half a second I knew I had watched something wonderful even before she wiggled off his shoulder. Later I also made Tenacity do a thing. Somehow just…
-
A lot of the time it's just that particular person failing to load in. On my end when it happens to me my game usually stops responding and I usually just kill it in task manager. It's the games that would start with less than 4 survivors in the past.
-
I mean PS4 is a completely different world when it comes to playing nurse, or consoles in general that is. On PC I generally don't feel the need for Ruin as nurse, I'd much rather have another perk like PGTW or even Shadowborn that can't be taken away from me if a totem gets blown up. You can use it, but you are most of…
-
Appeal to rule #5 and your arguement immediately gets worse. Every game ever has that rule in one shape or another, and anyone that actually takes the time to think instead of crying while weaponizing it against something they don't like realize it refers to traditional cheating programs like wallhacks, aimbots, maphacks…
-
Play. I usually tab out in lobby and only tab back in when I hear the match starting anyway, check offerings used and play to be honest.
-
Well you still decisively won, and as it seems you realized that survivor was either just trolling or a legitimate idiot. Abandon the "4K or Loss" mindset today and it makes the game way less frustrating.
-
I'd use them if I had them, I rarely get them in my webs. Feels like I constantly go an entire prestige and get a single BPS at most, so I'd imagine there's other unlucky gamers out there.
-
You won't get banned for it, ever. Well you "could", but it won't be detected. The program does nothing that any other network monitoring application doesn't do. It doesn't actually block anything, ALL it does is find the relevant network information (latency, connected IPs) and present it in an overlay. That's it. People…
-
When I saw "aggressive" I thought of something like enduring/spirit fury/bamboozle/<something else> to just bruteforce pallets and windows as hard as possible, but that's a different kind of aggressive. I guess if they tend to use obsession perks you could use Rancor to try to get them? Whispers so if you're in some random…

Beat me to it. So done with people just going "REMOVE THIS THING" without even proposing an alternative whatsoever, can't even be bothered to hide how much I feel it makes them seem like a salty crybaby anymore. "JUST STEALTH!" is probably the answer, which is cool and could be said to be implied, but at the same time no…
-
If you straight up want SWF removed you should probably just quit the game as it's not going anywhere and you're wasting time, emotional energy and keystrokes campaigning against it. The only thing it "encourages" is playing with friends, it's up to the players what they do with that. Realize this isn't some…
-
Not much that can be done, players are not obligated to be team-oriented players. Is it obnoxious to see someone already peace out and decide to camp hatch when it makes no sense? Yeah. Is it against any rules? Nope. If you want to reduce the probability of getting such teammates play SWF, if you want to eliminate it…
-
I would love some sort of secondary objective, be it collecting parts or something that makes hunting down dull totems more important that isn't base kit NOED. I'm no game designer so I don't really know how to go about it, but having to do something else than just holding M1 and doing skillchecks when it comes to…
-
Or just accept that the games have completely different balancing goals. In DG the Hunter is indeed meant to be a total powerhouse that can run over scavengers, and even then there are some scav stuff that is really strong (like the active camo) and a co-ordinated team can obviously still be a massive pain, meanwhile DBD…
-
Yeah protection detection is messed up. There's time where I stand right next to an injured survivor (at the gate for example), the killer walks up and hits me and I get no stack for WGLF. The only way that genuinely seems 100% consistent is taking a hit while the killer is carrying someone.
-
I really wish there were more playstyle-altering add-ons as well. A lot of the time you just combine the strongest add-ons buffing whatever stat is the most relevant (like chainsaw charge speed/cooldown, blink range or something like that) and leave it at that. Say what you want about the Doctor and his overall viability,…
-
Evil incarnate. Was bad enough when people hopped in lockers, at least you could try to drag them to a dead zone and then force them to jump off your shoulder. Now you've got rampant disconnecting to worry about as well.
-
@TerrorTrooper why are you reporting for bodyblocking? That isn't against the rules unless it's the kind of bodyblocking that takes the game hostage (killer blocking all survivors so they can't do gens and trigger EGC, survivors locking killer in exploit spots). Taking hits for other survivors isn't reportable. And on the…
-
I mean by definition taking the game hostage means there is no way out besides disconnecting, so obviously. It's not technically taking the game hostage to trap someone in a corner and waiting for the other survivors to do the gens and "kill" the cornered person with EGC. Should doing that be encouraged in any way though?…
-
@FrenziedRoach I think they're worried the game will be balanced around "unofficial win conditions" like having a good game, getting 4 BBQ stacks or whatever instead of what the game itself presents as wins (be it 4k/escape or pip, either makes sense in that regard as a true win condition depending on how you look at it) I…
-
If there's one thing I don't get it's small streamers with their url in their name just calling everyone bad/dumb. Surely they want people to perhaps check out the match from their perspective, maybe even end up enjoying what they see and giving the stream itself a chance? Which is why it doesn't make sense to me when…
-
They've never even implied they've even thought about doing anything else than adjusting her add-ons, chill out guys. She has so many weird add-ons you very rarely see (especially greens and purples) that they could turn into something more interesting, and it's not like the world is going to end if they make range…
-
I use them a lot as I kinda hoard add-ons. And some are genuinely good and/or do something unique. straps on Pig, memo on Myers for spooky Myers, Ghost on Wraith. Huntress has a brown exhaustion add-on which is obviously strong. Then there's killers where you really don't need crazy add-ons to do fine. Billy with spark…
-
I guess it falls under "have a good game", with some special exceptions depending on what build I'm using. If I'm running Devour Hope I've already won in my mind if I get to mori a single survivor with it for example, and if I get 4 stacks of BBQ&Chili I might still lose, but the defeat sure tastes like a win in the end 😄…
