Bit of a bump but when the mesa update came out it broke shader pre-caching for me on Steam. I've always run DBD with the -dx12 launch command. Running DBD without -dx12 as a launch command for me results in a memory leak at the campfire. Starting DBD with -dx12 as a launch command and turning shader pre-caching off in the…

First match on this update and am rubberbanding at constant 60 ping

No, it's not entirely too hard to outplay a nurse as it all relies on indeterminacies and guessing really. Solo queue against a nurse does usually end up in at least someone giving up and running the nurse while no one else does anything. The main problem is that nurse was originally designed to be a high skill high reward…

PVP =/= competitive. One side can win but it's not really competitive this is a party game at best with how much of the match is determined by chance. The rank system has always sucked, it makes people overly competitive and 'tryhard' and this new MMR system has seemed to amplify that. The MMR system doesn't really do…
-
Well I was trying out other characters just to see if it is character specific and my mouse disconnected while playing Trickster (not as often however). Tomorrow when I'm doing homework I'll find out if it's even related to this game.
-
I don't think Trapper has ever been the worst killer in the game, that goes to Pig or Twins easily. The buff isn't really a buff either it's quality of life changes anyways, getting rid of useless add-ons and the purple bag was nerfed pretty hard.
-
The state of DBD if all you care about is winning. That's the main source of complaint amongst both sides is that things are "necessary" to win. Ever since MMR came out survivor has been dirt easy and killer has been a 50/50 between prove thyself squad or airheads (plus longer queue times!!!!). I've also noticed survivors…
-
Their measurements are inherently flawed as people can prove thyself five gens in 5 minutes and get out and boost their MMR whilst not ranking up in emblems or really interacting with the killer at all.
-
I always run Shadowborn it's nautious to play without it. Blood Warden is pretty popular but that is something I always have in my back pocket while playing it's really funny to see people's reactions to getting hit by it. I think Zanshin Tactics is good on Pyramid Head I use that always.
-
It's so brainnumbing that this update took an hour and thirty minutes for a quick fix patch. The patch downloads in under five minutes but either the way it's packed or Steam itself it underutilizes my hard disk and unpacks it at 10 megabytes a second to kilobytes. At first I thought this was 36gb's compressed into 400…
-
It doesn't seem to be affecting me too much, I think the old MMR system was really bad. On my MAIN killers I would constantly get baby survivors that reached rank 1 in like 100 hours against a 1500 hour Billy it was boring. Now it seems that there is always one cracked player in the lobby and then it's a throw-up if the…

Dead hard is one of the best exhaustion perks in the game when you use it wrong (for distance). As killer waiting for two seconds while they're injured does not really hurt the chase much. I can probably count on my hand the amount of times I've used dead hard to legitimatelly dodge a hit.
-
I thought about this the other day and while I don't think teachables should be removed but I think each survivor should have a tiny boost to gameplay so that they aren't just interchangable skins.
-
That's completely up to whoever is playing if they value fun over winning and considering how low the skill ceiling for survivor against an m1 killer is I don't think it's too outrageous for someone to win with these underwhelming perks.
-
A selling back system would be good anything to get more points, I played a lot during the fifth anniversary and prestiged like twelve times but I haven't leveled someone to fifty in a while. Honestly I believe keys are fine, there are noticable on person, tunneling is a strategy to get them out of the game adding a timer…
-
There are no inherently useless perks in this game there are just perks that do a lot or too much even. The 'weaker' perks usually need to be used in a combo with other stuff. Boil over can be used with flip flop so that you can edge out that last 25% if they slug you a bit etc.
-
I've been getting a lot of Billy matches lately as survivor and I usually love playing against billy but every one plays him so boringly. Tinkerer, both silent add-ons and it always happens to be on shelter woods or corn maps. I just have to leave the gen at 70% every time and then get backrevved because I can't hear where…
-
Don't like spirit it's a 50/50 guess Don't like Trickster, there's no repercussion for respecting pallets and no repercussion for missing Don't like Twins they all camp Like going up against Blight / Billy / Oni / Nurse because they are mechanical killers that get rewarded for being good but can be outplayed
-
They should change it so that when someone is hooked in the basement the windows and pallets of that tile are blocked while someone is on that hook and for say 10 seconds afterwards. Example being shack pallet and the window would be blocked and on something like haddonfield the whole house would be blocked up
-
Maybe I'm not understanding fully but instead of laggy killers getting hits through pallets now laggy survivors get priority drop?
-
Might as well stop playing if 40 ping is seen as "McDonalds wi-fi", I had to pay a few hundred bucks to play games on a PC I don't feel very inclined to buy premium internet that costs a hundred bucks a month to get 8 ping is this game so I can win. Hit validation honestly shouldn't apply unless the ping is above 60, bad…
-
bumping since this just happened to me in 5.1.0
-
It does not feel tied to ping at all, played a lot of games as blight today where both I and the survivors had 40 - 60 ping max and this happened to me so many times while hitting out of rush. This change just makes pallet camping completely safe for the most part, haven't landed a hit through a pallet all day.
-
He is still awful even when played at high efficiency, you'll 4k after all gens are done at best. He's also still unfun to play against since he is map-dependent and god forbid you leave a loop you full down.
-
It's just simply hilarious that people have turned to camping as blight, the highest mobility and most efficient vanilla killer in the game, at 4 gens. People simply don't want to try for more than one kill they'll take it, ruin the game and depip anyways because they don't pressure.
-
Question though, is it known though that if you already have custom icons will you keep them. And also will I get EAC kicked if I don't go manually remove them?
-
Maybe it's just a sign of the times but there was a point were TF2 was the largest game I had installed at like 20gb but I could understand that game being huge. Haven't played new COD but I assume it has a campaign and zombies and multiplayer suite so it at least has a heap of content and probably ultra high res textures.…
-
If your map awareness is not the best run Windows of Opportunity to learn the layouts, map generation nowadays is mostly the same and loops will seem familiar after a while. Dead hard compliments a good looper letting them continue the chase for possibly double the time. If you want to learn common mindgames than you could…
-
Was a billy main before the rework and still am after, I am personally never affected by overheat. I saw across the map find a survivor and down them, I have probably overheated twice and it was probably because I was forcing it hard. Billy is also NOT reliant on engravings at all, before the rework I used moonshine /…
-
Survivor even with a SWF is a dice roll if you will have fun or not, people hate to admit it but the killer is in charge of the fun. They can camp for an easy kill and ruin the game for everyone or get ambitious and let everyone play but some decide not to. Personally been playing solo survivor recently in red ranks and I…
-
They look worse, their hair looks really bad and unnatural. It also looks like they aren't prebaking lighting on characters anymore so everyone just looks awfully pale. You also can't tell me David looks better can you?
-
i remember going for mine and bubba and billy were by far the hardest because you won't get adept at rank 1 using your power you have to m1 a lot and still 4k, the brutality category sucks for instadown killers.
-
I saw this picture in a discord server without context and I legitimately thought the top was the old and bottom was new
-
If you had played the game for any significant amount of time you'd have realized Blight was insane at launch
-
I like playing mobility characters and also characters that give the other side a chance, once you really get good at nurse or spirit there isn't much to enjoy personally just mindlessly slaughtering everyone
-
Hag is just annoying I'd like playing against Huntress if I didn't get hit around corners because of my awful internet You can run a trapper for three gens but you get caught in one trap you go to basement and never leave The only tricksters I've played against have ricochet blades and speed add-ons and I instantly die…
-
I mean I just don't see a point. It's a niche perk that has it's uses. I don't think every perk in this game needs to be A+ tier and meta. It's a useful perk on Pyramid Head, Huntress, and Demo. These ideas could all just be a new perk added to the game
-
Hadn't seen Freddy in red ranks for a while anyways tbh, it's a nerf but he is still a top tier m1 killer. I think they would have to rework him again entirely to make people stop seething and complaining. In a months time more nerf Freddy threads will crop up.
-
Zanshin is one of my favorite niche perks especially on Huntress and Phead. When you're entering a tile as huntress you can often pre-aim to the window and get an easy hatchet or with Phead go through the tile and take a shot and hope they go for the window
-
He has one of the best powers in the game and current meta perks make it even better. I've noticed that he is one of the easiest killers to bully though. His power lunge is really easy to juke and if you are charging a survivor will run back at you, line of sight juke in a corner, etc. Catching people off guard on gens is…
-
This is so absurd I thought it was bait lol. It's literally just a "what if I could" moment. It's harmless and waiting out 2nd stage is the only toxic exchange, that actually effects the game. I've done it to people and people have done it to me, it's a funny moment and impressive to pull a 4% chance. Random moments spice…
-
bbq & shadowborn then two perks that usually compliment each other
-
Just kinda worried, I play these three a lot and have gotten around their shortcomings and used to them (I like most of demos add-ons) and I think clown is pretty good how he currently is. In practice Wraith's true invisibility probably won't make much of a difference but it seems like it would be obnoxious on the…
-
Doctor is a solid B but he requires a lot of experience and knowledge on how both sides play. You have to predict the survivors prediction when you are going back and forth on a pallet and he shuts down shack very easily. Couple his skill check ability with overcharge and lullaby and gens won't get done.
-
I really like clown, he has an incredible 1v1 and mindgame potential pressure can be made up with perks. Demo is really underrated especially with his portal reading, I have never seen a demo use their portals to find people in a public game
-
Besides that it's pretty worthless in my opinion, I don't think using all of the charges helps in any scenario, if there's a pallet you'll break it and need to recharge forever and if you down them early in the sweep you have to run in circles until you end the sweep. Timing the saw isn't too hard and even if you trigger…

There is a bug in the current update were Bubba doesn't get a speed burst.
